We really enjoyed this cooking class. The instructor was very helpful, friendly and offered easy to follow instructions. The facility was very clean with ample space to learn. The result was tasty and we look forward to making all four dishes at home.
Such a fun activity to wind up our week in Taipei. My son and I had such a blast. Then getting to eat our own prepared food was the best! Angela was an amazing hostess and teacher with impeccable English and a wonderful sense of humour. I can’t recommend this class any more highly. Great value, lots of photos shared with us at the end, along with a little personalised (with our individual photos on the front) recipe book to take home so we can make the delicious dishes again later. We had a fun, happy group of people too. It was the best !!!
I highly recommend taking this class. It was really enjoyable, we learned a lot, had a ton of fun, and our instructor was wonderful.
This was one of the best cooking classes I have taken. It was professionally set up, well organized, and flowed very smoothly through all the steps of the recipes. Angela was a fabulous easy going instructor, sharing her sense of humor, patience and tips for making delicious dumplings. Everything was delicious
Diana is an excellent and friendly teacher. The class was well organized and my 15 year old son and I enjoyed it immensely. One of the best cooking classes I’ve ever taken. We came away learning how to make our favorite - soup dumplings!
Our teacher Diana was knowledgeable and patient. We learned a lot about the food that we were cooking and how it was unique to Taiwanese culture. Our group included pre-teens/teens and adults, and we all felt the pace was appropriate. Food tasted great and really appreciate the recipe book souvenir!
What an extraordinary experience it was to learn all about the art of making xia long bao, niu rou mien, and boba cha. The cooking studio was very professional, well laid out and impeccably clean. We made our soup dumpling dough from scratch and learned the right techniques for filling and folding them close. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this experience to all, young and old, families and singles.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Diana. She was warm and welcoming and also a lot of fun. She and her team made sure that everything ran smoothly. As well we were quite mixed with ages and she included everyone. The food was delicious and we had so much fun. Thanks for this.
The instruction was engaging and fun. My wife and I had a great time learning how to make the dishes. Diana was a great instructor. Highly recommend
Great location and a great setup - specious, comfortable and most important on a humid July in Taipei - cool. The lesson was well organised, interesting and entertaining.
Our family took the Xiao Long Bao, Beef Noodle soup, and Boba class today and had a great experience with our instructor, Lydia. To be honest, our energy was a bit low right before class due to the heat and all the traveling we’d been doing. However, Lydia was so friendly and energetic that she engaged us the moment we walked through the door. The 3-hour class was incredibly well-organized and time flew by. It was both interesting and interactive for our whole family (two parents plus our young adult kids). We learned a lot about technique, building flavors, and the history behind each dish. Thank you to Lydia and the two assistants who helped run the class. I highly recommend this cooking school!
I was so impressed with this cooking experience. The instructor was funny and informative. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was such a wonderful experience!
Cookinn and Diana were fantastic. My 14 and 12 year old enjoyed the activity followed by eating what we made. The English instructions were clear, and Diana made it fun and informative. Very clean and you get the recipes!
Informative, friendly, professional, entertaining and we cooked delicious food. Included an individual recipe booklet……….
We had a great and made delicious xiaolongbao, beef noodle soup, smashed cucumbers and boba milk tea. Angela was a fantastic instructor and made the class very fun. We have done cooking classes on many of our trips and this was among the very best.
This is an easy 5/5. Our instructor, Chelsea, was outstanding. You can tell she’s not just teaching recipes—she has a bigger mission of sharing Taiwan with the world through its food and culture. That really comes through in the class, which feels both personal and purposeful. The setup is also a big step above most classes I’ve done. It’s held in a professional studio kitchen (not someone’s home), and the whole experience is incredibly well organized. There are assistants helping prep ingredients and clean as you go, so you can stay fully engaged in the cooking without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The class itself is very hands-on and a lot of fun. We made Xiao Long Bao, beef noodle soup, and boba tea, with a strong focus on the dumplings. Learning the full process—from rolling the dough, to filling it with the soup-rich pork mixture, to folding and pinching each dumpling—was both challenging and rewarding. (Let’s just say mine didn’t look perfect, but they tasted amazing.) Along the way, Chelsea shared great insights into Taiwanese cuisine and culture, which made the experience even more meaningful. Selecting the right cooking class can be a bit overwhelming; If you select CookInn Taiwan you will not be disappointed. If you’re visiting Taipei and want something interactive, memorable, and genuinely authentic, I can’t recommend this class enough.

Absolutely loved it! Lydia and her colleagues were extremely nice and educational about some of the most famous Taiwanese dishes. Worthwhile if visiting Taipei!
Wonderful learning and social experience. Angela shared her cooking knowledge in a fun way. She is a very warm and friendly person!
Really great experience. The teacher was very friendly and I enjoyed learning Taiwanese cooking. Would definitely recommend for someone wanting to learn more about Taiwanese cooking
Had such a great time at this class - Angela was engaging and funny, making everyone feel at ease and managed to get hands on experience. Highly recommend for those who like cooking classes - great for solo travelers or non-solo travelers alike.
Amazing experience. Angela is an awesome teacher and makes the class fun and accessible for all regardless of skill level.
the best! my first-ever activity in Taiwan and it did not disappoint! highly recommended. Would love to try the other dishes & pastries to cook/bake!
My wife and I decided to take the XLB & Beef Noodle Soup class since we love eating it so much in Los Angeles. Diana was our guide and she was very thorough with teaching our class of 7 travelers. Definitely a great time if you’re interested in learning the basics of Taiwanese Cuisine.
Really enjoyed this class. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience and the food was good too!
I've done many cooking classes around the world, this was one of the best. Our instructor (I'm sorry I don't know her name) did a great job explaining and including everyone in the process. The dishes we prepared were also our lunch. It was all delicious. . . I highly recommend this class.
Diane is absolutely fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The class flew by and the next time I am in Taipei I will happily jump into another class. Loved it
We really enjoyed the cooking class as Angela was entertaining, helpful and fun. It was especially interesting learning how to make the bao. The food was tasty and we learned a lot about Taiwanese food.
Best thing out of our trip so far. Our trainer was engaging and funny. It didn't feel like we were paying for the illusion of a class, it was an actual class. She paid attention to what we were doing right or wrong, and helped us when we needed it. The session itself flowed very smoothly. we never felt rushed, and all equipment and ingredients were prepared by assistants at different stations at different times so as to form a seamless experience for the participants. They even made sure to take a generous number of photos of everyone so we could focus on the class. Amazing experience. I'll recommend it to anyone.
Diane led our class of about 10 people. She did a great job making it fun, informative and interesting. She was great with the experienced chef down to the 10 year old kid. Our food at the end was fantastic!! We all gained practical knowledge and feel that we can easily make this again following the directions that they provided. Don’t miss out on this fun opportunity!!
This was a fantastic experience! Angela was a great host and made everyone feel welcome and included. We loved learning to cook traditional dishes and hearing the stories behind them. Would highly recommend!
I wouldn’t recommend doing this until the end of your stay unless you are the type of person that eats dessert first! It was that amazing. The entire experience was A+. I took my 17 year old with me, we were joined by 4 others. The group size made it even better since we received so much personal attention from the instructors. When we left with our new friends, my son asked me how much the 3 hour experience cost. Both my new friends and I agreed, NOT ENOUGH. Value far exceeded cost.
It was an amazing experience got to create a wonderful lunch an we got a nice keepsake to go home of our recipe book
What a fun class, Angela was a great teacher and really fun, in our group people of all ages! I can’t wait to get home to the US to remake all of what we made! If you want to do something easy a fun i recommend this class
Fun, informative and great class. Diana our teacher was awesome, funny, smart, and made the class experience. The participants were from all over the world and we had the best conversations.
Really great cooking class where we learned exactly how to make Xiao long bao, beef noodle soup, bubble tea, and cucumber salad. The majority of the class is spent on the Xiao long bao, where you'll let to use your "lady fingers" to make exquisite tasting but mediocre looking (because it's your first time making them) xiao long bao. You really don't need any cooking experience to enjoy this class and I would definitely recommend it if you're going to be in Taiwan!
Angela was an amazing teacher. She was super helpful and patient, and showed us different techniques if we struggled (especially when folding the xialongbaos). At the end of the class we also got a cookbook with our picture on it so that we could try to recreate the dishes at home.
What an INCREDIBLE experience in Taipei. I have taken cooking classes all over the world and this is hands down the absolute best I have ever experienced. Thorough, professional, informative, and FUN. I actually feel confident that I can make bao at home now, too! Lydia was an amazing, fun instructor. The personalized cook book at the end was a real treat. All in all, just an awesome experience!

We had the best time in our cooking class and our teacher was wonderful. Everything was so organized and the food was delicious.
Lydia was great in teaching several dishes as well as hie to make Boba tea. Informative and entertaining. Meeting other travelers is also a plus.
The staff was incredible, the timing was perfect, and the takeaway was simply outstanding! Book it!!
I took the class with my two adult sons and nephew on July 23rd, 2025. We had so much fun and learned a lot! Angela is a great teacher who gave us a lot of good tips.
The class was excellent, our instructor Angela was extremely friendly , and explained the techniques in a manner that was clear and easy to follow. I have already reserved a second class. One note to folks , donate for the classes location is not overly obvious. Look for the building street number and realize it is a large building with multiple tenants. The cooking school is on the second floor.
The location was convenient and the studio was very clean. The customer experience was very well thought out. Diana was a fantastic teacher and the assistants also helped a lot. Everything was prepared well in advance and very efficient. The recipe and processes were easy to learn and follow. Diana also took some great pictures for us. The results of the dish was delicious. Highly recommend this experience for everyone. Taiwan numba one!!
This was a fantastic experience! Our instructor was fun and knowledgeable. And the food was delicious! We all learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended!
The class was well organized and everything was in order. Teacher Diana was such a good cook and teacher. The interaction is fun and interesting. After we prepared the soup buns and noodles, other staffs help us cook the food labeled with the name of each tourist student😁. It’s an amazing course to learn that even the seemingly complicated Asian food like beef noodle soup can be arranged and prepared in a planned way. My 16 yr old daughter learned and enjoyed a lot. It’s so delicious to taste the food you made yourself 😆💕.
Great experience with very patient instructors and tasty recipes. The xiaolong bao was spectacular, and the beef noodles was very comforting. The recipe with our photos on it was also a very nice touch.
I must rate this cooking class with extremely high stars as it was professionally organised and had a very relaxed environment and the setting was amazing. There was 5 of us and our lovely tutor explained everything and the procedure of cooking our dinner meal. She took photos of us individually with our meals when completed and one of the photos was stuck to our individual cooking book this was such a lovely idea. I would highly recommend this very professionally run and organised Taiwanese Cooking Class.
