We had a really great day exploring Taipei with our guide Jennifer. She’s very knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was easy to follow and genuinely interesting. We could ask anything at any time, and she was always patient and helpful. The tour felt very personal and well adapted to what we were interested in. The Confucius Temple and Longshan Temple were definitely highlights. Before this, we knew almost nothing about Confucianism and Daoism, but Jennifer gave us a clear and engaging overview without it ever feeling overwhelming. We also liked that the pace was relaxed—there was a good balance between learning and just enjoying the day, including a nice café break. The car was comfortable, there was water provided, and everything was well organized from the start with easy communication before the trip. All in all, a really enjoyable and insightful experience. We’d definitely recommend this tour.
Stanley was fantastic! He had an incredible depth of knowledge about Taipei’s history and shared it in such an engaging way. He was kind, polite, and went above and beyond by taking great photos and offering plenty of helpful recommendations. I would absolutely recommend him 100%!
Our tour guide was excellent! She stayed with us from beginning to end. She really took care of us was there when we walked off plane communicated things well. Helped us with translation and communicating with salesmen. She even walked us back into airport when done with your and made sure we got to correct gate. I would highly recommend if you have a long layover in Taipei.
Evan was very well versed in the history of the temples and adjusted the schedule as he saw fit based on what I wanted to prioritize seeing during my layover. Overall such a cool and fun experience!
With limited time, we managed to have a good experience seeing some interesting parts of Taiwan. Our guide Howard was very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we enjoyed our short time there. Definately made me want to come back and experience more of Taiwan.
Evan was very knowledgeable of the area and very personable overall. He modified the tour slightly based on our preferences and where we wanted to spend the most time. We felt in the short amount of time, we were able to see and appreciate the culture of Taiwan, the historical landmarks, the touristic side of things, the public transportation system, and the delights of the food and street market. Because of this tour, we actually want to visit Taiwan more versus just doing this during an extended layover from the airport. 100% recommend this and request Evan if you can!
We had a wonderful eight hour car and walking tour of Taipei city, with a great tour guide, Jennifer, who gave us a flexible tour of all the import sites, including temples, old town, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial, and Taipei 101! She helped us have a wonderful place for lunch, and even took some great photos of us at the sites! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending a day in Taipei and especially recommend our wonderful tour guide Jennifer.
I highly recommend this tour and would give it a solid 5/5 stars (or more). We had a 9-hour layover in Taipei, and instead of just staying indoors, we decided to explore the city. Since we had limited time, we searched for private tour companies to take us out and about. We wanted to save time compared to commuting publicly and have our own tour guide to introduce us to the city’s tourist and historical places. Who better to know the city and share interesting facts than a local? Since all the popular tours were booked up for that day, I went with whatever was left. I didn’t have a high expectation about the tour because it only had a few reviews (all good though), but I booked it anyway because I didn’t have any other options. Booking was straightforward, and they sent us the usual info about what to expect. Our tour guide, Herbert Meng, also messaged us through the app WhatsApp (which I’d suggest using if you’re in Asia) to give us his number and let us know we could reach him out anytime with any questions. The tour was absolutely amazing! We visited Longshan Temple, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, Liberty Square, Taipei 101, and even got a ride through special spots like Tree Avenue and the Presidential Office. We also strolled through a night market, enjoyed some delicious pearl milk tea (yum!), explored the River Port (the first business center), and visited Dadaochen (the second business center). We especially loved the River Port; it was so calm and peaceful. Herbert walked with us through these areas, sharing the history and fun facts about each place. He also gave us plenty of time to explore on our own and take in the sights. All of this happened in just 6 hours (or 5 hours since we arrived late due to a flight delay), and he still managed to bring us back to the airport with enough time before our flight. Our tour guide, Herbert Meng (Whatsapp # +886-989370422, email: twmengdao@gmail.com), was an absolute gem. He was incredibly patient, friendly, and always smiling. He was also professional and knowledgeable about Taipei’s/Taiwan’s history. His passion for photography was evident as he captured every moment of our tour. He’s not a professional photographer, but he loves capturing moments. His eye for detail is amazing, and he took pictures of us at every stop. As a bonus, he sends you a copy of all the photos he took at the end of the tour. And after a day or two (I can’t remember exactly), he compiles all these pictures into a video! It’s truly amazing! I’d definitely get in touch with Herbert when I’m back in Taiwan. He really made our quick trip so special for my son and me. 😊
The gentleman was lovely but he was more of a driver than a guide as his English was poor and very hard to understand.
Everything was perfect. Stanley was the best guide for the day. We highly suggest this experience to make the best out of your layover in Taipei.
Awesome tour and care from the tour guide! We had Tony, who wnt above and beyond for us! He showed us places not easy to find being a tourist. Loved the time spent in Taipei.
Seamless airport pickup with great communication which is reassuring after a long flight and in a new country. My tour guide Stanley was knowledgeable, funny and took great photos! Which is not something I remember to do. The experience was everything I needed to get settled in a new city and learn about the history of the country.
It was a fantastic and great private tour. My tourist guide, Jennifer Yang was incredibly knowledgable and gave me a fantastic day in Taipe. Ive learned about history, art, culture and much more. I am a well traveled and have high standards, and I was very happy with my tourist guide - she was great and spoke excellent English. A great photographer too!!! Time and money well invest. Highly recommended!!! I’ll give a five ✨✨✨✨✨
If you have a 10 hour layover in Taipei I HIGHLY recommend this tour. It is perfect to learn and see Taipei instead of sitting at the airport all day. Kevin was an exceptional tour guide and was very communicative with us! He was tracking our flight and picked us up right when we landed at 6:30am and dropped us off with enough time to get through security 2pm for a 5pm flight. Everything that the ad lists you will do! Again, highly recommend this trip and thank you Kevin!
I had a 6 hour layover in Taipei on a Saturday evening. Tony, my tour guide, picked me up on time at the airport. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to maximize my time in Taipei. He recommended local fare, had excellent command of English, and was able to provide not only historical accounts of the major monuments (Longshan, Chiang Kai Shek memorial, Taipei 101, etc) but also pictures of the sites as they have changed over the past 40 years! Tony has a hobby of photography and took me to several spots to take fantastic pictures. I felt comfortable, unrushed, and thoroughly appreciated the tour
Fantastic! We had a an extended layover and Tony took us to some of the highlights in Taipei. He even took us to some of his favorite photo spots. We would do another tour with him anytime!
Informative and very nice experience. Our knowledgeable tourist guide provided all the necessary information we needed.
Great way to spend an 8 hour layover in Taiwan. Saw some sights and was able to get a bite to eat. Very informative tour. I only wish I had more time in Taiwan.
Totally suggest checking out this tour! The tour company and our guide, Allen, were awesome at organizing everything we hoped to see, and their tips were super helpful in planning the itinerary. They kept us in the loop with regular WhatsApp updates about the trip and picked us up right on time on the day. Even when we hit some unexpected traffic, they were quick to tweak our schedule on the fly after chatting with us about it. Super polite and respectful, and Allen gave us a ton of cool insights. We had a blast on this trip, big thumbs up to the company and Allen as our guide. And shoutout to the Viator platform for hooking us up with this awesome experience. Thanks a bunch!
Just the perfect tour when you have a short layover in Taipei! Especially if you don’t speak the language! It would have been a bit more complicated with our carry-on bags and managing to find the bus/train and properly enjoy the town main attraction. Leo, our guide, was dedicated and brought us to the place we wanted to see as well as making suggestions and brief history as we were visiting. He brought us water bottle and was very kind! It’s not a cheap tour, but having a guide for full 6hr plus private car for 2 people it does make sense.
Our guide Jerry ,who was know to show us around his country. Pinlin Qiandao lake is like a mysterious place. Highly recommend this experience.
I'm not usually the "tour" type of person but am traveling by myself in Taipei for a short time, and this seemed the best choice to see a little bit of an insiders view. David, our tour guide, was friendly and very informative. We had a good day, enjoyed the street food and sights.
During my trip in Taipei, I have a half day for hanging out, so I chose the Justaiwantour help me to arrange it. Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world when it opened in 2004 until the title was snatched away by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. It's certainly sky-piercing or a crane among a clutch of chicks, to borrow the Chinese term, as Taipei does not have a dense cluster of skyscrapers as Hong Kong does. I enjoy the journey and relaxed myself, thanks to Justaiwantour.
We recently experienced a visit to Taipei with a layover tour, an efficient way to fill most of our nine hour layover. Warren was an excellent guide. We never felt rushed, yet we could tell he was working behind the scenes, making sure we saw everything on our planned tour, and without the long lines we would have experienced if we had been on our own. We visited Longshun Temple, Botanical Garden, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial hall (and in time to witness the impressive changing of the guard), Taipei 101 (where we rode the elevator to the top), lunch at Din Tai Fung, and a stop at Vigor Kobo (to try the famous pineapple cakes). Warren shared the history and culture and provided us great memories. And we were returned to the airport in plenty of time!
An eventful day. Friendly and nice. Great. Experienced and saw a lot on this one day.
I went on a day trip to Taipei with my guide Eddie, who took me to Taipei 101, the Chinatown Memorial, the Palace Museum and the Temple. Eddie was very humorous service and will experience other trips next time.
