Our trip was great. Every aspect was organized & smooth. We all really enjoyed the dinner & view from the tower. The night market was a fun experience. Thanks again!

First, the pick and drop off was great. David, was a great tour guide. He was quite eloquent on many topics. He also came early to pick us up. The dinner itself is very good in terms of the flavor of the food. However, it think they could add more variation and quantity.
This tour was lovely despite the rain. As a solo traveler it's often tricky to have a good dining experience but this experience allowed me to share a nice dinner with a nice group of people. The guide made sure to accommodate my dietary restriction and the food was delicious. I recommend!
Great experience for 6 of us. Hotel pickup was on time and tour guide was very good about keeping us on schedule so that our restaurant wait time was minimal. Food at Din Tai Fung was excellent and plentiful. Stopped at a temple close to the Raohe Night Market. Free time at the night market with a prearranged meeting time at a 7-11 store. Everyone returned on time for return transportation. Travel to and from the sites were very safe through the city.
The tour guide was fine, and it was nice to get into the restaurant with very little wait. The experience at the restaurant itself was lacking. We had a fairly large group crammed around one large table. Our guide ate elsewhere, and the serving staff told us very little about what we were eating or how to eat it. Several people in our group didn’t understand that there were serving utensils specifically for the shared dishes and just used their own utensils in the serving dishes. It was an awkward and uncomfortable meal of mediocre (set menu) food. The rest of the tour was fine. Our guide never pointed out the rainbow bridge even though it was listed in the tour materials, but we found it on our own. Be aware that if it is raining, the night market is not very enjoyable.
Everything was really memorable. Pick up at the hotel was on time. Dinner at Din Tai Fung was very enjoyable, especially since we had reservations and did not have to stand in the queue for 110 minutes as was shown on the sign. By the way, food selection was very good. After dinner, we went to the temple next to the market for a few minutes, and then the Rainbow River to take pictures before actually going into the Raohe night market. The entire tour was very enjoyable.
This is value for money. Is nicer taste than in singapore branch. Tour guide is good and experience.
The meal was excellent and abundant, unfortunately it wasn't explained that there wasn't a reservation, but that we would have to wait. We waited forty minutes. The waiting time for other people was two and a half hours, so I guess in that respect we were lucky to have a guide. The night market was packed and chaotic, so I didn't really enjoy it, and as it was mostly food, and we had just eaten a big dinner, it was a bit of a waste of time, but I suppose interesting to see one. Our guide was fairly informative, but left us to our own devices most of the time.
The food at the restaurant was delicious and our guide was very kind. The market was very crowded but overall a great experience.
We had a great time with our guide on this tour, I think he said his English name was either David or Daniel. He was extremely informative, answered all of our questions, and made small talk with us throughout the entire time. A very friendly and kind person and we really felt like the city of Taipei came alive through his perspective that he shared with us! We also enjoyed learning about the templates, the street markets, and had an amazing meal of delicious dumplings. Thank you so much!
Went with as part of a group tour so did not have to wait for a table. Told its would take over at least an hour if one has to wait. Restaurant is huge. Service was prompt and good but the food was only so-so. Had better at the Din Dai Fung in One Utama shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As hubby and I like to eat, and we go round to places because of the food, when it is not up to supposed standard, it's a disappointment. If you want to go on your own, I'd say, give it a miss. Waiting time not worth it.
David was a very affable and knowledgeable regarding Taiwan, and Taipei. Would have been of greater value had David dined with us giving running commentary on what we were eating
Cool to bypass all the waiting people for this popular restaurant and get to try everything. Thanks to the nice guide I was able to ask him everything about what I saw on the night market. The only downside was that because the other participants were so busy talking among themselves about their lifes, he didn't want to interrupt and I missed out on the things he wanted to tell about Taiwan.
The guide was great. The food was authentic. Could not have asked for anything more. Highly recommended for the street atmosphere
Our guide was very friendly and gave us good information. We were glad to have signed up for the tour because we would not have been able to get into Din Tai Fung without this tour. It was such a hot and humid evening so it was nice to be in the air condition van and be driven from place to place. The rainbow bridge was beautiful at night. It was fun to go to the night market, and to go inside the nearby Temple while the guide explained all the different aspects of the Temple. It was definitely worth the money. I highly recommend it.
Great tour!! It has everything! The dinner was incredible, so much food, and so many different kinds of dumplings. Definitely het the ticket to go up to the top of Taipei 101, worth every penny! And then the beautiful temple and the night market?! So much culture in one tour!
The tour allowed us to not wait so long (25 minutes) to eat a Din Tai Fung as it was included. It was a set menu that was ordered for the group and we didn't eat everything. It was delicious though. Glad we went through a tour especially after seeing how extremely busy it got. All but one person on the tour opted to go up to the Taipei 101 Observation Desk. This took most of the time and I felt bad for the one guy as he had to wait for us elsewhere until we were done. That left little time for Raohe Night Market (which just okay at best), and Rainbow Bridge next to it (not that impressive). Before we knew it, we were already back in the van at the end of tour.
David was a knowledgeable, gracious and fun host. We enjoyed every delicious bite of our dinner. We spent time at the temple next to the night market and David explained everything the worshippers were doing. Highly recommended by me and my 20 year old son!
Great tour, good food at Din Tai Fung which was all organised for us and a good amount of time in the market with smooth drop off and pick up at the station! Our tour guide also spoke great English and was very helpful in answering all our questions!
Following some shopping at the ground floor of the gigantic 101 shopping mall and a set dinner in an elegant dim sum restaurant, we continued our consume-and-feast tour along the crowds flooding through the Rahoe Night Market. A temple visit between the two and our guide Walter’s local stories made it into a both culturally and nutritionally fulfilling walk across the extremes of aTaipei night.
I think this would be a spectacular tour if it wasn't rushed. Loved the dinner at Din Tai Fung, but I felt rushed. The Night Market was great as was the Temple but I honestly wish there had been more explanation. Instead of " hey, here is this" Our guide mentioned he had an early morning tour so he had to finish things a bit earlier than planned. I think, quite honestly you are just paying to eat at Din Tai Fung and having priority over others who are waiting in line. I also believe the tour company should fix the meeting point instructions, Ground Floor for some means something totally different. I also didn't know we could have been dropped off at our hotel as a gentleman was dropped off at his hotel who had just joined the tour minutes before, I only know this because he paid the guide up front and there was a whole exchange, while the rest of us were dropped off at the subway meeting point.
After a very convenient pick up, we went toward Taipei 101 for a beautiful photo op. We then went to the restaurant. We spent the less than half hour wait time (unlike non-tour customers who had 110 minute wait) cruising and shopping the galleria. Because we were the only customers for this tour, we had a table for two. The meal was well selected and courses arrived frequently. It was the right amount of food, not too much or too little. After supper we went to one of the largest temples, and certainly one of the most ornate, in the city. Our guide provided information, background, and even personal experience to make sense of all the sensations we were experiencing. After the temple we entered the night market that is adjacent. As with any market, there was lots of people watching, comparisons to like markets around the world, and we got a wonderful brown sugar doughnut, a fresh watermelon juice, and even a household product we didn't know we needed. Wonderfully paced tour with an excellent guide. According to my partner, it was another unexpected pleasure with a Viator tour experience.
This was great value for the money. Walter got us into the packed Din Tai Feng in Taipei 101 a full 40 minutes ahead of the wait time, and was a great help in Raohe night market, helping us to eat everything we wanted. Also, he gave us an excellent overview of the complexities of Taiwanese politics. An excellent guide and an excellent experience. Five big fat stars.
Great experience and good way to get to Din Tai Fung without the huge wait! I actually visited here in Sept 2019, booked on this tour and had a good experience. The food at the restaurant was good and the driver, I still remember was very friendly. The night market is a bit underwhelming but the trip I would still recommend! Thank you!
The night tour was brief but educational. It could have included an appetizer or a sample from the street food along the way. Din Tai Fung at 101 is a delight. It’s good we took this tour because the waiting time for Dinner is about an hour at a good time.
A delightful and pleasant evening tour of the city of Taipei at night with our knowledgeable guide Ms. Tina Wang. Delicious dinner at Din Tai Fung restaurant to eat the famous soup dumplings. Wealth of information about the history of Taiwan. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm about your country. A highly recommended tour and guide.
This was not a Taipei night tour. Rather, it was a 10 minute hurried walk through a night market. A similarly hurried walk through a temple, and then dinner at Taipei 101. I expected much more. All in all, it was disappointing.
It was good to get a taste of the night life in Taipei. Waiting time for Din Tai Fung was 2 hours but we got seated in 40 minutes so that was a nice surprise.
Thomas is a very experienced tour-guide. His explanation has been very informative and interesting. I highly recommend him ( Thomas Liang ) being your tour guide in Taipei.
We are a family of four would like to thank Edison Travel service for the excellent service provided by Mr. Thomas Liang. Very courteous, never pushy, patient, and knowledgeable about Taipei life. He explained to us the details of the Longshan Temple, Huaxi night market, and Taipei 101. He told us many tips that we cannot easily find online. I definitely recommend Mr. Liang and the Edison travel service. He will treat you like family, and you will feel at home in Taipei right away. Surprisingly, he also speaks Spanish in addition to English.
There were 6 in our group and pickup was on time in a small mini van. Night market was a walk through and the a walk through a temple and a visit. Some more sight seeing from the van, seeing and hearing about different neighbourhoods. Included meal was very good, more than enough food for all and selection for those that did not like some dishes. Some wanted to do Taipei 101 and some not so the group fell apart. I visited Taipei 101 on a clear night and it was worth it (been there done that). Guide and driver were very good.
Jennelyn the tour guide was very good. Highly recommended tour. Very knowledgeable of the tour details and always making sure everyone is comfortable at all times.
Jenny was an amazing tour guide. Personable and cheery, making our night a lot of fun. Loved our time at Taipei 101, dinner at Din Tai Fung was excellent and we had great company with other tour guests. Highly recommend.
Our tour guide Alice was very fun and knowledgeable about the places we went to. Dinner at Din Tai Fung was amazing, didn't know it was a popular restaurant until Alice mentioned it and we saw alot of people lining up. Fortunately, with this tour package, there was no need to wait in line with everyone else. Hotel pickup was also on time. Had fun trying out the different street foods we came across.
I thought we were going to get a chance to go to the top of Taipei 101. Three of us on the tour even wanted to buy skip the line passes. We were told we did not have enough time. So we did not have an opportunity to go to the observation point. And Din Tai Fung was nothing special. There are far superior places to go in Taipei.
Awesome tour guide. Good dinner. Excellent service. Came to take me around last minute. Wish it didn't rain so so could be walking around some more outside.

A good way to see a few sights of Taipei if youre here for a limited time. We enjoyed our dinner at Din Tai Fung. We also had a wonderful driver and tour guide which made this tour even better.

It's a good tour but the guide rushed through the night market and didn't really explain much. He was okay during the temple tour. Left us for dinner with no comments on what to expect. The tour is good but the guide could have been better, perhaps the one from my half day tour.

Wonderful tour of the most interesting temple in Taipei, an unusual snake night market, and Taipei 101 with more food than you could eat at Din Tai Fung. We have eaten at home at this restaurant and this one is a much better quality!

We were picked up late which is no big deal but the man who was to be our guide should change his job. He barely said much and basically had us visit various places without giving much information or background. I wanted to learn about Taipei and Taiwan culture but simply pointing out fruit or massage parlors is not what a guide should do. He was a much older man and maybe that played a part in his listless tour. Total waste of money and that guide should retire. I would pass on this if I were you and just visit these places on your own. As for Taipei 101 or Din Tai Fung. The place was a zoo and we had to wait a good 30 minutes for a meal which I could have done on without being part of the tour. The food was okay but I would not dine there again. It's over rated.

Dumplings were excellent but not many options for seafood/vegetarian without chicken or pork.

Felix, our guide did a great job of explaining the history of the areas we visited. Our tour of the Huaxi Night Market was a lot of fun. Being a bit of a 'foodie' I would have liked to have had some time to sample the food. Felix, advised against it, fearing it might make us sick.

The Din Tai Fung dinner was excellent.

Never got a chance to view the Taipei 101 building. I don't know how we missed this.

Dinner was fun
Tour too rushed
Tour bus small and a lot of driving all over town

This was a great tour!!! You walk through the night market, a few temples, go to the top of the Taipei 101 building and a have a great dumpling dinner!!! This is an awesome way to spend an evening in Taipei.....meeting new people, walking around the fascinating city and having a great dinner!!!

This was just the worst. The vehicle was old and dirty, the guide was not personable, the night market was seedy and scary and the dinner was disappointing. Din Tai Fung has a great reputation but on this tour you are provided with a set menu of food and no one tells you what you are eating. We did not know what was in the dumplings or how much was coming or what the soup was so for us who eat healthy we could not even chose what to eat. We had a mixed group of 6 including us two Americans, three Polish ladies and one Japanese man. The tour was in English but the ladies left the tour after dinner and never returned to continue back to their hotel. That says it all

Picked up on time, very informative guide. Felix was excellent, very informative and dinner at Din Tai Fung delicious. Unforgettable first day in Taipei. Highly recommend Viator to friends and family.

This was the worst tour I've ever had. I've been to free tours that were much better than this, and I've been on several Viator tours so I expected a better experience. The positives: the tour guide was a nice man and the van was comfortable and prompt. At Din Tai Fung the food was plentiful and delicious The negatives: Our tour guide was not informative and seemed inexperienced in that position. He was unable to answers many questions about the sights and about Taipei that were asked. He also spoke with heavily accented Chinese which made him difficult to understand. To make matters worse he often spoke while we were walking or while he wasn't facing us so that we couldn't read his lips. Additionally, I was extremely disappointed with the night market that was chosen for this tour. It had nothing that was even remotely appealing or that gave tourists an idea of how vibrant the night markets in Taipei truly are. It had massage parlours and snakes. No street food. No life. It was a complete and utter letdown. I'm lucky that I had more nights in the city because I was able to visit night markets that were truly representative of the city on my own. The final and I'd say one of the most disappointing parts of the tour was the end. I was aware that the Taipei 101 observation deck price was not included, but I thought that we'd have the opportunity to visit. We were told that this was not an option. Instead we toured the inside of a mall including the Apple Store. I was shocked.

My friend and I booked this tour as an efficient way to have dinner at a busy, popular restaurant that doesn't take reservations Din Tai Fung and see some things that would be good to have a guide explain to us night market, temple. We were extremely disappointed in the tour.

The tour that we thought we were going to have was, in this order:
1. Longshan Temple
2. Huaxi Street night market
3. Din Tai Fung
4. Taipei 101

We were dropped off at Taipei 101 first, where Din Tai Fung was also located. The first thing that we did was eat. Another couple on our tour had been with Felix earlier in the afternoon, and they asked him if they should eat something prior to the tour. He told them yes, and they had their McDonald's wrappers with them in the van. I would have been furious if that had happened to me!

The food at Din Tai Fung was very good, but Felix was nowhere to be found to explain the food. We had to flag down servers to ask them what was in each dish, and some of them did not speak English and couldn't help us.

We then went up to the observation deck of Taipei 101. One of the members of our group stayed behind as he had already been up to the top, and the ticket was an additional charge on top of the tour fee. Felix asked us to walk around the observation deck and meet back near the exit to go back down the elevator at a certain time. Half of our group took a few minutes longer, but it was very crowded. Felix was super upset at this tardiness and almost reprimanded the couple of people who took slightly longer than asked. Our other group member was downstairs waiting for us, he said, so we had to hurry back. Our other group member knew that he would be on his own for a while, so I didn't think there needed to be such a need to rush. We zoomed past the damper ball which sounded interesting to me, but I didn't get to read any of the information about it. Felix also didn't share any information with us.

We then drove to the night market. We walked through the shops and Felix didn't talk much. Every so often he would point out something interesting, or very briefly explain it to the two or three people closest to him and then keep going. The last stop was the temple, where Felix talked the most. However, even that wasn't very informative. Felix's English was not that great, so it was difficult to understand him. Overall, I did not think that the tour provided the value that I was expecting.

Excellent tour, guide was so funny and multi-language speaker, he just treated us amazing. I recommend this tour at all, also the dinner was great. All stops were just perfect and we liked the way guide led all the tour.
