In the morning we will pickup you in your hotel and we’ll head towards the north coast of Taiwan to visit Yehliu, a geological park that houses numerous rock formations with surprising figures, result of marine erosion over the centuries.
After visiting Yehliu we will enter the mountains of northern Taiwan to discover the Shifen Waterfall, dubbed the “Little Niagara of Taiwan”. A natural wonder that will leave you breathless. With an impressive height of 20 meters and a majestic width of 40 meters, this waterfall offers a visual and auditory spectacle that immerses you in the grandeur of nature.
Finally we will visit the photographic town of Jiufen. This small town is located on the mountainside, and enjoys stunning views of the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Jiufen houses a market along its main street, where we can sample local delicacies – such as pineapple cupcakes or a meatloaf with rice paste – and visit the workshops and shops of artisans who have settled in Jiufen. The town is famous for the traditional tea houses hidden in its winding alleys, and for the red lanterns decorating its streets, which infuse Jiufen with a special charm. But not only will we stroll and admire the alleys, shops, and spectacular views, but we will also have the opportunity to have lunch at one of the famous teahouses with privileged views of the coast and mountains surrounding this dreamy village.
Andy was very communicative with arrival time and knowledgeable about the sites visited. The car was comfortable and impeccably clean and well appointed. We had plenty of time to linger in places that were interesting and he even ended up sending us a car to take us to the airport the next day.
We had a great day exploring the North Coast of Taiwan. Andy is a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history. The day was well-paced and we have a load of photos to commemorate our visit.
It’s a curated private tour experience with the convenience seeing sights at your own pace. Cristian was a very warm, hospitable, conscientious, and knowledgeable driver/tour guide. This is a perfect itinerary for a day tour, and I would definitely recommend it.
The Geopark, Jiufen and Shifen can be very crowded. Learning more from Samuel, our guide, about the sites were very informative and interesting. Samuel's knowledge of where to traverse made it more efficient. Would love to do another tour with him the next time we visit Taipei.
Wilson was fantastic! He picked us up at our Hotel and the vehicle was a Mercedes Van that was very comfortable for the day trip. He was very knowledgable about the locations and handled everything and kept us to perfect schedule. He also took fantastic pictures and compiled a great video for us at the end of the trip. I would highly recommend this trip if you are looking for great day trip. 5 stars for sure!

Our family had a perfect private tour with Samuel. He picked us up just as planned and made sure we had a great day. Yehliu, Shifen, and Jiufen are all popular tourist destinations and Samuel was well informed and navigated everything so we could just relax and enjoy what we were seeing. He was happy to adjust the plan a bit for us and we also got some really great pictures! Don’t hesitate to book this, and I think extra cost of a private tour is well worth it for these sites.
Got us to the right places at the right times and no hanging around for others. Just for parking in the right places and the restaurant booking it was worth the extra of a private tour. Geo Park, waterfall and Jiufen (sp?) all good and all different. Train St was a nice additional stop.
What a great start for our first couple days in Taipei. Danny was so efficient, having contacted us several days in advance to reconfirm. Arrival prompt, car clean and comfortable, and his English was great. He took us to each location, gave us a primer and then left us to explore on our own, which is our preference. If you have the time, these 3 stops are definitely worth seeing. I definitely recommend this company.
Cristian was amazing, as we were in Taiwan for business, we really wanted to get a feel for the country and people. Cristian avoided the crowds, was generous with his time and even diverted a little to show us some hidden gems.
Christian was insightful, attentive, entertaining and informative throughout the entire tour. He was careful to explain cultural understanding of the locations we were visiting, historical contexts and giving us an insight into the people of Taiwan, their traditions and daily life. All of the locations were thoroughly enjoyable and varied. The lunch experience, with the tea ceremony was a highlight overseeing the sights of Taiwan. Would highly recommend.

The day trip to Jiufen, Shifen and Yehliu park was excellent. The lunch at the tea house had the most spectacular view of Jiufen. .Our tour guide Christain was very knowledgeable and friendly. We spend the day talking about local culture and other places to visit. Being a private tour we could go at our own pace as well.
Cristen was our guide for the 8 hour tour. He was a fantastic guide!!! He seemed so knowledgeable about the history of the island, customs, and the culture. He took us to some scenic opportunities for photos. Went to a great village called Jiufen and had a delicious meal. Highly recommend this tour.
Cristian was great! He is from Spain but has been in Taiwan for over a decade. He speaks fluent English. He is gracious, knowledgeable (knows more than I do about Taiwan and I was born here), and interacts well with kids. My favorite scene was the wide waterfall at Siufen and my favorite experience was watching them make tea at Jiufen. Great experience!!!
I have already visited many countries and saw plenty of guides. The last one, his name Christian, was the best I had ever seen.
What a hidden treasure is Taiwan!. National parks, mountain cat village, amazing basalt pinnacles, warm friendly helpful, english speaking Taiwanese, wonderful easy transport system, delicious food, great airline Eva Air, very safe both day/night, and the dollar value is so good atm. Everyone should visit Taiwan.❤

This excursion was super cool; in Yehliu we were able to see some very curious figures sculpted by the wind and seawater, altogether it felt like we were on another planet; in Jiufen, the walk through some untraveled streets was nice, just a few motorcycles from time to time, we were able to see the town as it is, not touristy at all, we ate super well at the restaurant they took us to, everything was delicious, the commercial street was fine, just that, commercial; and finally Shifen, the paper lantern launch with our written wishes was super fun, with the shop owner livening up the event. A highly recommended excursion and the guide was a delight, what more could you ask for!

The park is super original, the rock formations are very curious and different. Jiufen, a town full of charm and the magic of Chihiro. Cristian discovered a cozy restaurant for us and highly recommended dishes
Beautiful town!!! If you are in Taiwan you cannot miss the mountain businesses, the restaurant we went to, the place to have tea is something unique in Asia!!! We went with Hello Taipei Christian, he gave us a beautiful tour, we walked, we ate, we bought, we had a lot of fun!!!! It is close to Taipei but very different, lots of green, quiet atmosphere, very picturesque

The trip and the guide (Cristian) were very interesting. He picked us up with a very comfortable van and we did everything as planned. Throughout the trip, Cristian told us many curiosities and showed us hidden and little-known places, which made it an unforgettable experience. We ate at a little-known but excellent restaurant that Cristian recommended to us. We did the tour in Catalan and we recommend it without hesitation. Thanks for the experience Cristian.
The excursion to Yehliu and Jiufen was great. The geological park is very cool and it is quite interesting to guess the shapes of the rocks. Jiufen is a beautiful town, it is worth visiting, and the tea house where you eat has very nice views. In addition, Christian is a super friendly guide, apart from being a photographer, he explains the history very well. I recommend it!!! The tour to Yehliu and Jiufen was great. The geological park is very nice and it's very interesting to guess the shapes of the rocks. Jiufen is a beautiful village, it's worth to visit, and also the tea house where you eat has fantastic views. I have been in Taipei for a few days and have had the best guide possible, Cristian from Hola Taipei. It loves the city and conveys the enthusiasm for culture and city life. It also explains everything in great detail and great knowledge of both the monuments and the history and culture of the city and the events that have been happening in the twentieth century. In addition it has told me places to shop, food markets, restaurants for what I have had a great time. Plus it is lovely and very attentive.
A few days ago we did a tour with "Hello Taipei" in northern Taiwan, Jiufen and Yehliu Geological Park, we went with family and friends and the experience was excellent. Cristian, our guide did a job too, in the visit to Jiufen was very helpful especially with translation at some times and recommending sites for photos. The next time we visit Taiwan we will definitely count on Hola Taipei to join us on one of their tours.
