We had a great tour around the Northern part of Taiwan. Our wonderful driver Jennifer Yang was with us throughout the journey. She was really friendly, kind and a great tour guide. She explained everything in detail throughout the journey and managed to bring us to every places on time and showed us perfect place to eat and buy souvenirs. She also did click many pictures of us and was really amazing. Last but not least, her driving skills were amazing and we really felt safe in the journey ❤️

Prepare to be 'rocked' at Yehliu Geopark! Get ready for a geological rollercoaster as you wander through whimsical formations that'll have you questioning Mother Nature's sense of humor. From 'Queen's Head' to 'Sea Candles,' every rock has a story - and we promise it won't be 'rock'-et science to enjoy them all.
Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Shifen Waterfall, a natural wonder tucked away in the lush forests of Taiwan. Feel the mist on your face as you marvel at the cascading torrents, and let the serene surroundings wash away your worries. With its towering grandeur and tranquil atmosphere, Shifen Waterfall promises an unforgettable escape into nature's embrace.
Step into Jiufen Old Street and get ready for a journey back in time – and a taste bud adventure! Picture this: quaint tea houses, winding alleyways, and more snacks than you can shake a chopstick at! But hold onto your hats, folks, because the real treasure here isn't just the stunning view – it's the taro balls with red beans dessert! Trust me, one bite of these little balls of joy, and you'll be seeing rainbows! So, grab your camera, grab your appetite, and let's get snacking with a view that'll have you saying "wow" and "yum" in the same breath!
Discover the charm of Shifen Old Street, where history meets excitement! Wander through quaint lanes lined with traditional shops and snack stalls, then release your worries (and a sky lantern) into the heavens. It's a magical experience that lights up the night and leaves lasting memories.
Golden Waterfall captivates with its shimmering golden hues caused by mineral deposits in the surrounding rocks, creating a mesmerizing spectacle against the lush green mountainside backdrop. Its striking beauty makes it a must-see natural wonder for visitors exploring the picturesque landscapes of northern Taiwan.
Yin Yang Sea, nestled near the charming town of Jiufen, is a captivating natural wonder renowned for its stunning geological formations and vibrant hues. Named for its striking contrast of golden yellow and deep blue waters, this unique phenomenon offers visitors a mesmerizing sight to behold. The juxtaposition of colors is created by the mixing of minerals and pollutants, resulting in a picturesque landscape reminiscent of a swirling yin-yang symbol. Beyond its visual allure, Yin Yang Sea provides a tranquil escape where visitors can immerse themselves in the serene beauty of nature while soaking in the rich cultural heritage of Jiufen. A visit to this iconic site promises an unforgettable experience, blending natural splendor with cultural intrigue.

Oscar was a superb guide. Thoroughly recommend
Our family of 12 had a memorable day trip with Florence our guide to Yehliu, Shifen waterfall, Shifen and Jiufen old streets. We were picked up right outside our airbnb. Our time at the Yehliu geopark was quite warm but Florence led us to the most famous spots and took photos of the group at the famous Queen’s Head. The seafood restaurant that Florence recommended was delicious but was challenging to order food which delayed our next activities. Shifen waterfall was beautiful and releasing personalized lanterns was fun. Our time at Jiufen old street was limited because we were behind schedule due to our long lunch.
My family and I booked this 1 day trip and our driver/guide was Wilson. He was very accomodating and went around with us to to almost all the areas except the Yehliu park. He gave us very clear instructions on where to go and where to meet him. The other places where he went with us, he took time and was not rushing us. He was very clear and there wouldnt be any language barrier. He included history of Taiwan as this was our first time. For the itinerary, it was good. We went to many places and felt we had enough time to look around and enjoy. Wilson is awesome at taking pictures. He even gave us a link to retrieve all outlr photos/ video for the day. Like having a professional photographer with you. It was an easy pick up and drop off. He also told us where to het nice photos and how to walk around ourselves during some free time. Overall, the tour may be a little on the pricier side but it was bang for your buck - very satisfied with the tour.
Private 2 day tour with Chia Jung our driver. Taichung - Sun Moon Lake - Taipei was a fantastic trip saw everything we wanted to and Chia Jung was very informative and friendly. Stayed at the Apollo Hotel Resort in Sun Moon Lake amazing lakeview. Highly recommend
Our driver and guide Wilson is very knowledgeable to places we go which made every stop meaningful and enjoyable. He helped us pace at a very comfortable pace to cover promised places. He kept his vehicle clean and comfortable for our ride. I would recommend this tour.
I had an amazing experience with Jennifer, my tour guide for my first solo trip to Taiwan! From start to finish, it felt like having a knowledgeable friend walking together with me and made the entire trip feel effortless and fun. Every stop was thoughtfully planned, and the stories shared brought the places to life. What I loved most was how attentive and patient she is. Knowing that I am a vegetarian, she will help to search for vegetarian food in Taiwan for me to try. It wasn’t just a tour—it felt like an adventure with a friend who truly cares about creating memorable experiences. And thank you for the beautiful sketch, it is lovely. I highly recommend this guide to anyone looking for an unforgettable journey!
We really enjoyed our 8 hours private tour to Northern Taiwan with our lovely guide Jennifer. Jennifer picked us up at our hotel and drove us in her private car to Tamsui, Ju Ming Museum, Yehliu and Jiufen. She was enthusiastic yet discrete, flexible (we changed our itinerary during the day), knowledgeable, respectful and well organised. She patiently took pictures for us. It was a nice, comfortabel and efficient way to get a good impression of the Northern part of Taiwan. We will definitely recommend Jennifer and this tour to our friends.
My tour guide was An, and I had the most fabulous and relaxing time. Communicative and prompt for pick up, we had a full day of eating and activities. She was happy to accommodate any interests I had on site or make recommendations for snacks. My only advice is that you bring some cash as recommended to fully experience all the wonderful and inexpensive food and drinks!!
I did a private tour with Jennifer in late July, and I’m so glad I did! Definitely a highlight of my trip. She was very knowledgeable, quite fluent in English, and helped with whatever I needed even coming prepared with ponchos and umbrella for me to use. She happily took photos of me the whole time and made the experience great. It did rain on and off throughout the day but still felt like a perfect trip to take rain or shine with the car rides and coverings in some places. Highly recommend if you’re thinking about it!
Berry Tsai was our tour guide (ENG) and was an amazing guide! He was incredibly accommodating in terms of communication, service and answering questions. The tour was quick jam packed so it moves quickly, but he made sure to remind us of the itinerary and how long it would take to travel and how long we could stay in the area. He provided history, culture and information of the country and each location/tour, which was rich and beautiful! He even provided food for us to try in Jiufen, an upgrade for our sky lantern to have 4 colors instead of two, took our photos, and even dropped us off at Yong Kang Beef Noodle near our hotel after the tour was over and he recommended us really great spots! Overall, he was an amazing person, it was so nice to get to know him and have conversations. He was so helpful in providing translations but also helping us learn phrases and words in Mandarin to help converse with the locals. We were able to get to everything with great timing and he was so helpful in providing water/space for us in the car. I highly recommend the tour and the tour guides, it was great to see the beautiful nature in the country of Taiwan and experience the wonder that is each location. Thank you once again Berry! We wish we could provided a gift from the U.S. or something to show our love and care for a wonderful experience in the same way you showed us.
Must visit trip. Do it with Jennifer. She has a great knowledge and excellent tour guide. All the spots are beautiful and with a good view.
Our guide Paul was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and took us to amazing waterfalls. Lantern experience was great, very enjoyable trip.
Jennifer was incredible! Super knowledgeable and thoughtful - including bringing umbrellas / ponchos in case of rain. She was totally willing to cater the tour to my needs and ensured an awesome day. I have traveled all over the world and have met few guides as great as Jennifer. 100% recommend
Loved the day trip. Pickup and drop off was smooth. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Would recommend to family and friends :)
A trip to Taipei wouldn't be complete without visiting Yehliu, Jiufen and Shifen. These three places are most conviniently done in a private trip. And best when arranged by a professional guide driver named Jennifer Yang. Jennifer has prepared everything we need prior to the trip. She sent us the itinerary a night before, included the list of some must-visit spots. In the morning, she came punctually with her clean and comfortable car. To our surprise, she also equipped us with rain coats and umbrellas. We never asked for them, nor her duty to do that for us. But it simply showed her extra-miles attitude... one of the thing that we will always remember of her. Her detailed preparation paid off. It was raining in Yehliu GeoPark. Thanks to the rain coats, we're fully protected in open air. She told stories about the stone formation while carefully led the way, took our beautiful pictures at gorgeous spots and took care of everything. In Jiufen, she showed us some highlights (theatre, tea house, classic beef noodles and some traditional food) and let us choose which ones to have. She kept some distance for our private space but still maintain her attention to make sure we didn’t get into trouble. We also fly the lantern in Shifen, almost no wait, thanks to her arrangements. All in all, bad weather may create hassle and ruin the trip. Having someone skillfully reliable is the solution, as we have Jennifer. So glad we found one!
Don't schedule your trip during chinese New Year's week especially the last lunar day. They close the road during lantern festival and there's limited route to take, to experience the sky lantern and shifun waterfalls. I think Viator and local tour company should not even schedule to do the golden circle during that event. We were disappointed not able to experience the sky lantern and see the shifun waterfalls. Our driver Benson was awesome though. He tried to find ways to get us up there but every route is closed🥴. The yuliu geopark and the golden waterfalls were beautiful.
An extremely well organised tour with a professional and friendly guide. The Geo Park is easily accessible with walkways to some of the main attractions. Our guide, Barry, was very helpful in helping me navigate the different sites and for the second part of the tour, he had booked an excellent table at a restaurant overlooking the sea. The fresh crab and prawns were to die for. Barry was professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
Great day with our guide Evan in Northeast Taiwan. He was very caring, competent, attentive to our requests and very professional.
