Taipei is a large city. Having a personal guide allows you to see the highlights and not get lost. Our guide, Herbert, picked us up at our cruise ship and escorted us to all the main attractions (and even some interesting surprise sights) and listened to our wishes to tailor the itinerary throughout the trip. When my asthma bothered me, Herbert, helped us skip the stairs and ride the elevator instead. Thanks to this tour, we have many happy memories of our day in Taipei. Herbert even documented our trip with lots of photos. And he even made a video for us!

We enjoyed our day with Chris. He arrived at the port punctually and his English was fantastic. The car was comfortable for the 6 of us and was nice and clean. We toured the Long Shan Temple and adjacent area, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial and watched the changing of the guard. Chris took us to a beef noodle restaurant for lunch (at our request) and we had time for a photo op outside Taipei 101. After that it was time to head back to Keeling. It was a brief snapshot of Taipei but that's all you have time for when doing a port call.
Our driver/guide Ken Lin was very informative We were picked up at the Keelung port and the price for th four of us for the private custom luxury tour was less than the group tours organised by the cruise ships Highly recommend if you are a group of 3-5
Kaspar was a great guide. He was very flexible and we were able to turn this into a food tour. How lucky we were that Kaspar has a great knowledge and appreciation of Taiwanese cuisine and we went to several eateries to try different dishes. We also saw and heard about the major attractions in Taipei. The itinerary had to be adjusted somewhat to accommodate my disability but Kaspar handled everything so well. Thank you.
Will worked with us so closely that we got exactly what we wanted to out of our few hours in Taipei! Our ship was leaving at 3pm, so Will made sure we got back by 2:35 so we didn’t worry a bit! Will was due to arrive at 9am. We arrived at the dock at 8:30am, Will was there early, so out trip began 30 minutes early so we were able to squeeze in even more! We had chosen 3 tiers of locations that we wanted to see which was based on many items on our ships excursions. We ended up getting more out of our trip than any one of the ship excursions, at a cost of less than the ship excursion. We LOVED the sky lanterns! Will helped us choose his favorite vendor, who videotaped the lantern and us for free on our phone. We loved the lantern stair step village of Juifen, even on our rainy day. Don’t miss it! Will knows a stop that misses half of the stairs, which was very helpful! The Chiang Kai Shek memorial square is extremely memorable. Don’t miss the souvenir shop below the memorial. Loved seeing the Presidential Palace and 101Taipei Tower. Great, comfortable vehicle. A wonderful value for your money; don’t miss Will!
Thanks to Justaiwantours we had a great day of touring with our own private guide-Huaixuan Zeng (Alvin). We were picked up at our cruise port in Taipei by Alvin. Her car was perfect! We did not see good options to visit Taipei provided by our cruise ship. We were fortunate to find out about this tour from Justaiwantour. We visited Longshan temple, the Chiang Kai -Shek memorial, Taipei 101 tower, some cool local markets and some great places for my wife to do a little shopping. Alvin was awesome and we could not recommend her more highly. She got us back to the cruise port in great time. A perfect day in Taiwan. Thanks Huaixuan Zeng for a great time!
Guide was very pleasant but his English was poor and the tour was somewhat boring We spent a lot of time at Chang Kei Shri memorial and mayb spend more time on other things
Our guide Evan Liu did a wonderful job showing us the highlights of Taipei on our very short stay in Taipei!!
We booked this tour as a private excursion during our cruise stop and were paired with Jennifer from Justaiwantour. We had an absolutely amazing experience! Jennifer was a wealth of knowledge, sharing fascinating insights into Taipei’s history and culture. It was the perfect 'whirlwind' introduction to the city and the country, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!
Our first stop was Taipei 101. When we got there at 9:30am and it wasn’t open until 11am. The driver should have known that. We got to the memorial museum and it was going to be another hour to see the guards change. We just missed it. After that we spent some time at the temple. We totally missed the shopping district and did not get to walk around historical district. Only a drive by. Our guide was very nice & pleasant, however, he really didn’t give us any information that we didn’t already read in the book. He seemed unorganized in regards to planning and wasted a lot of time. He was essentially a driver. Not a tour guide.
Great private tour with Benson. Prompt pickup from Keelung cruise terminal. Saw all the major sites for Taiwan. Benson suggested a small change in the shopping area that we visited and it suited us better than the original one recommended. We were also able to add a short stop at a speciality bakery in the itinerary. Would definitely recommend Benson again.
We just finished our tour with Justawiantour Travel Services and had a great day in Taipei! We arrived via cruise ship at Keelung and were a family of four. Tram was great leading up to tour date and always responsive. Wilson was our driver/guide for the day and he really took care of us! He was also great with our kids and really catered our day to how much time we wanted to spend at each stop. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Taipei!
The tour was interesting and the guide made the whole thing exceptional. He was very informative and explained to us all the sights we visited.
Our driver guide Iris was fantastic. Her English was very good and she customized our experience based on our interests. Despite the rainy day, we had a wonderful experience.
Jennifer was the perfect guide. Even though it was a rainy day, she guided me through many experiences in Taiwan. She had a behind the scenes background to know how to make the most of the area in a very short time. Highest recommendations.
What a fantastic tour guide Eric was for our visit to Taiwan his English was excellent and the knowledge of his country immense we enjoyed Taipei and would have liked more time . We thank Eric and wish him and his family much happiness . Derek& Carol
Guide was very accommodating for my limited mobility. William explained so many things about the culture. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous.
A great way to see Taipei . Got to see all the amazing attractions with an experienced guide that made the whole trip seamless. In our Sung Ping the difference and happy to make adjustments to meet our specific needs. Being picked up and dropped off at the ship was a big plus
Amazing visit. A very good tour guide named Shang who explain everything about the city the culture and traditions . Thank you !! We enjoyed it
What a wonderful day and the perfect introduction to Taipei on our very first visit! Our guide, An, made sure we saw all the highlights, while tailoring the experience to our own interests and needs. Everything felt personalized and seamless. An was not only incredibly informative but also a warm, engaging host — truly a great representative of Taiwan. We especially appreciated the attention and watchful eye to keep track of our cruise schedule, always keeping our return time in mind so we never had to worry about getting back to the ship. This tour gave us both the big picture and the little details that make Taipei so special. We left feeling enriched, cared for, and excited to explore more. Totally recommend this experience to anyone — especially cruise travelers looking for an stress-free, customized, and unforgettable day in Taipei!
Justwantaintour Florence and driver went above and beyond for the BEST private tour of Taipei. Florence was very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English! We appreciate all the kindness of Florence. Our driver was also excellent and SAVED us when there was heavy traffic. Florence took wonderful wonderful photos!!!!Thank you both very much!
Good trip and Ken tailor made it to our wishes. He was very helpful and a great guide. We had 2 elderly people in the party and all worked very wel
“An Amazing Adventure!” Impressive! My wife and I are so thankful to our tour guide. He made sure we have an experience like no other. He explains the history vividly and everything else especially about the culture. Indeed it was an experience of a lifetime. Herbert is one super nice and knowledgeable person/tour guide. We enjoy his company a lot. Jhun & Julie M.
Frank was an excellent guide, we visited a all the major attractions, the car was very comfortable, Frank went out of his way to make our tour enjoyable
Might not expect to be a guided tour. More like a shuttle service to listed destinations. Very much appreciated our guide’s assistance for lunch
Day 2.... Taipei City Tour .... Our guide, Berry, met us at the terminal. We explained that 2 of the 4 of us had mobility issues. Not a problem for him at all . Good command of English. Everything we hoped for . We saw so much and had a great time. Am somewhat disappointed that I never heard back from the company after 3 emails about the previous day.
Our guide Jennifer was a beautiful person, made sure we were comfortable and happy with what we were seeing, she looked after us beautifully. Enjoyed all we saw the changing of the guard, their precision amazing at the Chang Kai shek memorial, also Langshon Temple with its dragons and phoenix rooftops followed by delicious dumplings and a visit to 101 tower - a perfect day in Taipei
We travelled as a 20 people group and we had Lily as our tour guide- this was our shore excursion in Keelong. Our group consisted of toddlers and elderly, so it wasn’t easy to manage. However Lily has taken good care of us, have so much patience and making sure everyone is fine. She is very professional in her job and knowledgeable in all the places of interest, we learned a lot about Taipei from her. My family had enjoyed her company very much. I would highly recommend Lily or Justaiwan Tour to anyone in planning a shore excursion or other tours in Taipei. It is a trusted and organized tour company.
The places we went are amazing , nice to visit those places , Taipei is very clean city & can recommend to friends
We had a lovely day with Sung. He was so kind and knowledgable. He made everything so smooth and comfortable for us. He is an excellent driver and we felt very safe with him. He took us to a delicious lunch and listened to what we needed. We would choose him again and recommend him to other travelers.
I booked this in June 25 for my wife and me to experience and visit Taipei from Keelung port as a shore excursion. Booking was efficient, and communication was great right from the initial enquiry. Prior to arriving at Keelung, we were contacted by JTT via WhatsApp and introduced to our guide for the day, Jennifer, who basically took over things and coordinated the meeting point and time. After making contact in the cruise terminal, we set off for Taipei. Transfer to the city took about 40 minutes and we made a quick photo stop at the Taiwan Presidential Building. Being a Sunday morning, the roads were really quiet and we were able to cross the city quickly without much hassle and were also finding parking spaces easy to find as well. From there, we made our way to The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, which is a landmark dedicated to the former leader. The walls are all decorated with white marble. We timed it perfectly to watch the Changing of the Guards ceremony and then climbed the 89 steps to see the bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek just inside the memorial hall at the top. It was then back down to the ground floor for a quick look at one or two of the exhibits in the museum and to take a look at his library room. I loved the fact that many of the depictions of Chiang Kai-shek showed him with a big smile on his face. Much better than the usual stoney-faced ones you see just about everywhere else. After a brief stop to photograph Liberty Square, we were on the move again and this time to visit Lungshan Temple, which is a well-known temple originally built in the 1700s and honours both Buddhist & Taoist deities. A lot of the detailing was absolutely stunning and I hope the photos are able to show this. Once we were done at the temple, it was time for lunch, and Jennifer had done her research and found three places that were practically vegan and whose menus were typical Taiwanese dishes. I can't remember the names of what we ate but can tell you it was really tasty. Our final stop was the Taipei 101 for a photo stop and a quick look around the huge shopping mall at it's base. All throughout the tour, Jennifer was taking our photos on her own phone and at the end of the tour sent them to us via WhatsApp. I have to say we had the most amazing time, and nothing was too much trouble for Jennifer; she was the perfect guide and host while showing us all around the city. We can thoroughly recommend Just Taiwan Tour, and in particular Jennifer, if you are lucky enough to get her as your guide.
Jennifer was our guide for the day and we couldn’t have asked for a better representative of the city. She was so kind and thoughtful. Jennifer met us at the cruise port on time and was patient with us as it took a while for us to get thru immigration. After pick up she carefully drove us thru all the sights & sounds with stop throughout the day. I can’t recommend this tour and especially Jennifer enough. She made our day memorable. I can’t recommend this tour company and the guide enough.
Jennifer was the perfect tour guide for our Taipei city tour. Friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, the day couldn’t have gone any better. Comms were excellent ahead of time and Jennifer was waiting for us at the cruise terminal for pick up. She adjusted the tour as we went to linger a little longer at places of interest. We’d use Jennifer again and highly recommend her for your tour in Taiwan.
Was very good our driver tour guide was informative we feel safe ,Martin is friendly and funny I recommend to my friends he even suggested a good food to eat in Taiwan
We had excellent communication with Pauline priortothetour, she meet us in the Cruise ship Terminal and took our group of 14 friends on a private 6 hour tour. Her english was good and did an Awesome job of showing us all the highlights of the area.
Our driver was waiting in the terminal to meet us. She was on time and ready to go. She efficiently drove us to Taipei and around all the sights. Unfortunately she had very little knowledge and failed to provide much information. That said we enjoyed the day.
Anchi is First Class all the way. From the Mercedes with double sunroofs to the piano music playing lightly as we drove. Appreciated the quick pace which we requested. Very proficient saving us alot of time. Thank you Anchi so much for the day.
Very good guide, her English as very good and she was very helpful. She took us to all the sites in Taipei We would recommend Jennifer as she was excellent.
Our guide Young Lin was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable about the history of all the stops we went to. He explained customs, beliefs and culture. He was very open, personable and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. He took us to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall (impressive monument) just in time for changing to the guard! Which was impressive as well. We appreciated him sharing the rich heritage of Taiwan. Would absolutely recommend this tour with Young Lin.
Paul had excellent knowledge of all the sights we visited, he was an amazing host and we had such fun, we tried bubble tea, a foot massage , saw a changing of the guard, he took lots of brilliant photos of us and all topped of by a lovely traditional Taiwan meal. Delivered safely back to port on time and very happy. Thanks again Paul , much appreciated and should we come to Taiwan again we will certainly use you once more
Stanley was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Taiwan, as well as today’s political situation. His car was very comfortable, and he is a good driver. Stanley tailored the tour to our particular interests, including historic sights and politically interesting places. It was a lovely day. Thank you, Stanley!
This was a great way to see as much as you possibly see in Taipei in a short 6vhpurs Jeffrey was our guide forcthe day and did not disappoint. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and was forthcoming with many interesting facts and antedotes that added greatly to our tour experience. All major points of interst were covered easily and we were able to bypass manyvofvthe larger tour groups. One thing to consider if booking is that you may wish to book passes to Taipei 101 in advance and notify the tour operator and guide ahead of time so that you get the opportunity to do this as this is not expressly mentioned in the tour but would be very interesting to see on a clear day. All in all a great tour, superb guide, and great value for money in my humble opinion.
Frank was early & communicated well. Easy to locate him & so awesome to have him drive us & park right in front of sites in pouring rain. He had umbrellas to use and took us to great picture spots like for Taipei 101. Excellent day!
Jennifer was one of beer tour guides I have ever had for a tour. She was very professional and our safety was her number one concern. We were able see the top 3 tourist sites and still had time for a quick lunch at a wonderful restaurant. I recommend her services to all.
We were disappointed that our guide, who was also our driver, had very little information to share with us about the area. We were dropped off at sites, sent off in a direction, to be picked up later. At one point we had to walk a great distance to find our guide. I wouldn’t recommend this excursion.
We had a perfect day in Taipei city with Jennifer our guide. It was raining and she provided us with umbrellas also water and a welcome gift. She was very attentive to our safety and comfort at all times. Her driving skills were excellent and her timing moving from place to place was perfect. We were able to go to 3 major tourist attractions , grab a bite to eat and get back to our ship in plenty of time. She spoke English and was knowledgeable about the city. We really enjoyed our time in Taipei. Thanks Jennifer!
Great exploration of Taipei City. Benson was a fantastic guide/driver, making sure we were seeing the sights we wanted. Greeted us with a sign to his clean and comfortable Mercedes van. Added a special stop at a famed dumpling restaurant , Michelin recommended! Benson was very knowledgeable , polite and spoke good English. Don’t hesitate to book this trip!
It was a wonderful day under the expert guidance and hospitality of Will. He was very accommodating at crafting a flexible and pleasant tour of Taipei, and he willingly shared knowledge about the history and culture in Taiwan. And a great bloke!
Tony Geo was an amazing guide on our Trip to Taipei. He explained so much history and gave us lots of information. We visited all the main sites in Taipei and enjoyed all of them. If anyone is lucky enough to be taken around by Tony they will have an amazing experience as we did.
Jennifer Yang, our guide, was not only a nice person but shared her knowledge of Teipei and Taiwan as she showed us amazing sights of historical significance. She speaks excellent English and is willing to answer all of your questions. Jennifer is extremely organized and knows exactly where to go and how to get there. Above all, she cared for our comfort and well-being and helped us navigate through the very large, historical and intriguing capitol of Taiwan. We are grateful for our day with Jennifer discovering Teipei and all the pictures she took and shared with us.
