Itinerary
Picture this: a skyscraper so tall, it's practically waving hello to the clouds! Taipei 101 isn't just a building; it's the Beyoncé of towers, towering over the competition like a giant among ants. With an elevator that zooms up faster than your morning coffee kicks in, and views that'll make your jaw drop faster than a bad punchline, it's a must-see marvel that'll have you saying "101 reasons why I love Taipei!"
For foodies, Dihua Street is a culinary haven, offering a wide array of traditional Taiwanese snacks, street food, and local delicacies. You can indulge in mouth-watering treats like oyster omelets, braised pork rice, and traditional pastries, providing a delightful culinary experience.
Step into a world where ancient traditions meet modern marvels at Longshan Temple, Taipei's crown jewel of spiritual beauty! With its intricate architecture, centuries-old history, and vibrant atmosphere, Longshan Temple isn't just a sight to see—it's a journey through time. From its ornate rooftops to the tranquil courtyards, every corner holds a story waiting to be discovered. Come experience the heartbeat of Taipei's cultural soul and see why Longshan Temple is a must-visit destination unlike any other!
Step into history and grandeur at the iconic Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall! Unlike any other landmark, it's not just a monument—it's a living testament to Taiwan's rich heritage and political legacy. Marvel at the imposing architecture, immerse yourself in the serene gardens, and witness the changing of the guard ceremony—a spectacle that'll leave you in awe. With us, it's not just a visit; it's an unforgettable journey through time and culture.
Walking into Bopiliao Historical Block is like walking into a movie set where the director yelled “action” about 200 years ago and never yelled “cut.” The bricks are weathered into deep shades of red and orange, and the afternoon sun bounces off them like warm light in a period drama. Every corner seems to tell a story, merchants selling herbs, families cooking behind carved wooden windows, a paper lantern swaying slightly in the breeze. Of course, now you might see a couple taking wedding photos in front of those same walls, or a tourist (hi, that’s me) stopping every 5 feet to stare at the texture of a doorframe. Bopiliao doesn’t try to impress you with flash. It’s more like an old friend telling you a good story, one detail at a time.

Fast to get a guide. Well informed of itinerary. Guide Jennifer is polite, caring n flexible in schedule.
A great excursion, our guide Sungping was great. He was waiting for us in the hall. He allowed us to make a change in our itinerary. He taught us some history & showed us the old town.
Our tour was in TaiPei City, Taiwan with Viator . Our tour guide , Mr. Young Lin was outstanding. We had so many good experiences in a very short time and he was a brilliant and knowledgeable tour director, a real gentleman with inexhaustible energy and offered us a memorable experience. He wanted to show us this wonderful city, but also to have us let him know what we wanted to see as well. It was a perfect competition. We loved our wonderful lunch and his personal and sincere care of us during the day. Please ask for him in the future if you ever want something outstanding in terms of falling in love with the city that he loves.
We had a fantastic private tour in Taipei with Jennifer. Everything was perfectly organized from the start, and communication was smooth and professional. The tour focused on Taipei itself, which was exactly what we wanted. Jennifer guided us through the city highlights in a very efficient and well-structured way, making the most of our time. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, and explained many cultural and historical details in a clear and engaging way. We especially appreciated her flexibility and how she adapted the pace to us. The entire day felt relaxed, personal, and very well planned. We would highly recommend this tour and especially Jennifer to anyone who wants to explore Taipei in a comfortable and insightful way.
We had a very good tour of Taipei. We saw all the sights described, would be good if the 8 hour tour included lunch. Always challenging to find a guide who speaks fluent English in Taiwan.
Evan, our guide & driver provided a wonderful experience in Taipei. He met us at the cruise terminal which was a must. Over the course of the day, he demonstrated his knowledge of the sights, history, customs, religious traditions, and people of the region. We had many different experiences with him. Ate with locals in tiny noodle spot, wondered around 101, rode underground, watched changing of guard at Chiang Kai-Shek memorial, visited active temples, walked extensively around local sidewalk shops and neighborhoods. All in all, a tireing but very exciting day. In addition to his knowledge, Evan was a very nice, personable man. It was our pleasure to spend the day with him.
We booked this tour through Get Your Guide, and we loved every part of it from start to finish. Several days before the tour, Jennifer reached out to us, and we were able to discuss all the important details with her in advance. It was very important to us to have a customized full‑day experience, because we wanted to see not only Taipei but also the beautiful coastal scenery of Taiwan. Jennifer made exactly that possible for us. In the morning, we were able to visit Heping Island Geopark and the Wangyou Valley, both of which were absolute highlights. Afterwards, we headed to Taipei, where several exciting spots were on our itinerary. Jennifer not only brought us safely and comfortably from place to place, but also took wonderful care of us the entire day and shared all the essential insights and information. We had a truly fantastic day. Thank you so much, dear Jennifer!
Excelent tour! Our guide Shang was awsome !!
This was a top-notch tour from beginning to end. Benson picked us up in a comfortable vehicle and took us to many historic and cultural sites. He supplied plentiful information and was able to get us up close to each attraction with ease. I left a jacket in the van at the end of the tour, and he was kind enough to ship it back to the USA. I can't recommend him highly enough to anyone visiting Taipei. He will not disappoint.
We had a terrific private tour with Evan, who picked us up from the Keelung cruise port. We saw more of Taipei than we ever expected to be able to, including Taipei 101 tower and mall. Memorial Hall, Liberty Square plus changing of the guard, an MRT ride, Dihua Street (old town), lunch (self-paid), and Lungshan Temple. Given the timing of our visit, we also got to enjoy decorations celebrating Chinese New Year as well as the beautiful cherry blossoms. Evan was such a thoughtful and informative guide, and we really loved our tour. We were dropped off at the airport in plenty of time for our 10pm flight. I highly recommend this tour!
Benson drove us around to some fabulous locations in a comfortable van while describing the history of Taipei. We would definitely use him again.
Picked up at the cruise port and taken into the city and shown around dihua street, Wanhua district, Lungshan temple, Wanhua district, the beautiful and impressive Chiangmai Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and finishing off at the Taipei 101 tower and shopping mall. Macron was our driver and guide for the day and he was a very intelligent and comical young man. Macron took care of our family all day and designed the trip to meet our needs and also ensure we had sufficient time at each of the attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would like to thank Macron for making our day trip so special and leaving us with great memories of our first visit to Taipei.
We had about 10 hours between cruises at Keelung port and we wanted a day tour of Taipei. Paul picked us up at the port and took us to the places we had asked to be taken, and even stopped at a bank ATM so I could get local currency. We went to the National Palace Museum in the morning and Paul was our guide. Next we went to Taipei 101 to meet friends for lunch and after that we went to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial to see the changing of the guard. Finally, we went to Longshan Temple, then Paul took us back to Keelung port. This was so much easier than being on a bus with a lot of people getting on and off, and we got the itinerary we wanted. Paul can also recommend an itinerary if you don’t have an idea of what you want to see. I highly recommend booking this tour based on our experience!
Our guide Will was exceptional. Spoke fluent English. We could not have asked for a better guide. He knew the sites, customs & traditions. All 6 of us enjoyed the day & would thoroughly recommend Will’s services to anyone heading to Taipei.
This was the best choice for our private tour around Taiwan. Since the beginning communication was great, everything was perfectly organized ahead of time to make sure we had the greatest experience. Our guide Wilson was extremely nice! He took us everywhere we wanted to go and made sure we didn't miss anything worth seeing. Wilson made our trip very memorable by taking awesome pictures of us in every place we visited! He clearly explained visiting spots, gave us directions, and organized pick up times and locations in a time-effective manner so we made the most out of our time in Taipei; i wouldhihhly recommend this your for your visit to taiwan!

We highly recommend this service to travel around Keelung port and Taipei. 100%!
Jennifer was waiting when I arrived in the terminal with a wonderful smile. Her car was very comfortable and she asked me questions as we drove and customized the upcoming itinerary for my pleasure. Jennifer has a strong family history in Taiwan, her father came over with Chiang Kai-shek so she was able to share a rich perspective of the country and it's history. We did everything in the itinerary and more, "just down this street is another temple (or something else), would you like to see it?" was very common. She took care to explain the interesting melding and acceptance of different cultures and religions, often in the same temple. Her food recommendations were perfect. She provided water and a very thoughtful gift. I HIGHLY recommend Jennifer for a wonderful experience in Taiwan.

While traveling on the RCL Anthem of the Seas, we stopped at Keelung Port and arranged for a private 2 person tour with the company. Their guide Sung-Ping picked us up without any problems. On Easter Sunday morning, we first visited the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial complex before proceding to the Taipei 101 building. Sung-Ping's English was somewhat limited but he did a good job of giving us some historical background and was very knowledgable about the goings on at the various sites. We had a delicious lunch at a restaurant near the Longshan Temple - we enjoyed the famed Tawainase Braised Pork over rice - bowl of it costed an incredible $1.21 US. After visiting the Temple, we wandered around the Dihua street market and a park along the Tamsui river. I believe we had an excellent introductory tour to Taipei and other that the English limitations with our guide thought he was very good.
Our guide, Paul, was excellent: professional, attentive, personable, friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable. His English was very good. He and his company were in touch with us before the tour. He was waiting for us early (which I really like because we have had problems with other tours in the past) and with a sign. Told us not to worry if immigration took longer than expected. He would wait for us. His vehicle was new and very comfortable. He took us to all the main attractions and provided valuable info on each site. We learned a lot, while enjoying our tour very much. We highly recommend Paul.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Taipei! Advance communication with the agency and guide were excellent. We got to experience a good deal in a shoe period of time. Our guide Paul was a delight! He provided the context so we could understand what we were seeing and was very entertaining. I highly recommend the tour!
I had a wonderful six hour tour with Jennifer Yang and I must say she was one of the very best tour guides I’ve had in the 20+ years of traveling. She was very organized, she was very knowledgeable, she worked with me to design a tour That met all of my wishes for the limited amount of time I had that day in the Taipei area, I would highly recommend Jennifer Yang and would definitely use her again if back in this area. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the city and the culture in this area but she was also a very kind, Considerate, and very outgoing individual that I enjoyed spending six hours together that day. Please know that I don’t usually write recommendations with such high approval, but this time I couldn’t be happier with my decision to book this particular tour and have a guide of Jennifer‘s character, knowledge and professionalism!
We had a fun day in Taipei. Our guide, Sung-Ping was an excellent driver and guide and took many nice photos of us which he shared through WhatsApp. He went out of his way to accommodate us.
Being pick up from the cruise port and having the ability to go to exactly the places I wanted to visit for the day was beyond fabulous! Private driver, easy to ask questions and learn about the areas we were visiting. Oscar, my guide and driver would translate for me to help with any language barriers and made both the ships and me feel comfortable. For me, I wanted to visit places where my husband grew up so to find the areas and the house was beyond words. My driver was curious and super supportive of my quest which made me feel comfortable. I would do this tour in again in a heartbeat! And visit more unusual spots.
Pros: 1. Great destinations (5) 2. Car was first class 3. Polite/Punctuational driver Cons 1. Driver did not speak English and thereforeo didn’t accompany us to any of the destinations, except for Taipei 101 (which was needed for navigation). As a result, we didn’t get as much from the destinations if we had an English speaking guide with us. TripAdvisor Tour description and reviews referred to English speaking guide and guide accompanying to the destinations. I tried to reach out to operator about the lack of an English speaking guide on the tour day afterwards to request a partial refund, but did not receive a response to either inquiry. 2. Other aspects of the TA tour description was not included: a) didn’t go to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hal b) no opportunity to influence/change itinerary Although we did not have the benefit of a guide accompanying us to the destinations (and providing information and answering questions), we had a very good visit our one day in Taipei because of the great destinations and efficient/effective transportation.
We were met on time by an experienced and friendly guide who went out of his way to accommodate our interests as well as helped us make some plans for the next day. Well informed and enthusiastic, he spent the entire time sharing information about the history and customs of Taiwan and the city of Taipei. We would recommend him to anyone who is interested in visiting Taipei.
James was a great guide to introduce us to Taipei. We were picked up from the Keelong Cruise Port and driven to the Lungshan Temple, which was beautiful. Our stop at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was amazing, especially seeing the changing of the honor guards. The highlight of our tour was our private food crawl, getting to try 5-6 different dishes from various street vendors. Everything was delicious on James' recommendation. Last was for a photo stop of Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taipei, 11th tallest in the world. The whole day was great!! Highly recommend James as a guide and we felt extremely safe since he was previously in the military police.😉😊
Our guide Will was very informative and hospitable. I will definitely been with him again. We were able to see places we wouldn’t have see without his help and knowledge of Taiwan.
We had a great day in Taipei. The only thing that we are unhappy with is the fact that we paid a premium for an English speaking tour and our guide did not speak a word of English. Besides that he was great! But having known it was not English speaking I would have gone for a cheaper option. When I reached out to the tour operator regarding this, they just ignored me and didn't reply. Keep in mind that this tour is falsely advertised.
Spent a wonderful day with Tommas. He met us at the port entry hall, helped us with the ATM and escorted us to his car with no troubles. We toured all the important sites of Taipei and he even brought umbrellas for us. Treated us to fantastic local foods at the Night Market and had us back to our ship in plenty of time. A great day in Taipei with Tommas.
James was an excellent driver and guide, and we had a fantastic tour of some Taipei highlights, including Memorial Hall, Longshan Temple, and Taipei 101. James was always willing to step in to take photos of us, and he introduced us to some of the local cuisine. Having the option to customize our itinerary was greatly appreciated. We recommend this tour and James as a guide.
We visited Taipei 101, CKC memorial hall, Bak-on temple and Dadaochen old street. Our tour provider Hsin Yi made lunch reservations for us beforehand. The food was fantastic! We got to experience so much of Taipei in the limited amount of time we had. Thank you to our driver/guide Steve
An excellent day tour of Taipei. Herman was waiting with his car at the cruise port. Finding me on waasap a couple of weeks before, asking my preferences. So communications was excellent & we pretty much planned the day out. Taipei 101 was my “must see’ but as it was a 4 day national holiday, opened slightly later; no problem as we saw other sites nearby - with light getting around was easy. Returning to 101, we were the 2nd elevator (!) so no super long queues - fantastic. Great lunch and easily back in time for the ship. Herman was superb, his English & comprehension was impeccable. He joined us when able to find a parking space or met us after a visit A fabulous 6 hours or so with a knowledgeable, very experienced & informative guide. An excellent tour on a sunny day - thanks Herman!
We chose this tour because we didn’t care for any of the ship’s tours, and it was a good choice. It’s wonderful to have your own guide instead of being part of a crowd of 30 or more. Ken, who lives in Keelung, arrived at 9am as promised and we were back at exactly 5. In that 8 hours he took us to the Keelung Viewpoint where we could see the ship, then to an interesting local Buddha temple built into a natural cave, where we were the only people. From there we went to Taipei, drove by the Taipei 101 because the weather was too overcast, and then had a personalized tour of the Chiang Kai-chek Memorial Hall where Ken chose a superb spot for photos and filming the change of guard ceremony. That was amazing! Then to lunch at a local spot nearby Ken knows where we had a local meal called Xiaolongbao. Ken helped us choose and we loved it! Then to the Longshan Temple, which was our choice. Finally, since Taipei 101 wasn’t going to work out, he took us to a very busy street to see how people shop for Chinese New Year, which was happening soon. All during our day we learned about the history, the customs and culture, and even the politics. Taiwan’s election was just 2 days before, and Ken was happy they chose the more independent route. I recommend this to anybody.
Excellent tour guide Alex Tsai. We are very happy with service and tour guide from team Justaiwantour. On time, clean bus, friendly and very professional tour guide Alex Tsai. Alex help to maintain perfect schedules for demand. We all love to have this private tour.
We visited Longshan Temple, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, Martyrs Shrine and Yangmingshan National Park. If you have a limited time in Taipei just do this tour you will not regret it
We arrived Keelung port at 9am, the tour guide is friendly and kind. Glad to book this private tour!
There is a breathtaking ocean view right at the shop, perfect! There is, of course, a great variety of food choices there, make sure to try traditional cuisines like fish ball soup and noodles.
Taiwan is a friendly destination, but so is Southeast Asia at large. And while most travelers like here.
Not only my two kids but also my husband and I were so happy to have this excellent trip in Taiwan because our tour guide was amazing and everything was so novel to us. Everything we faced was like “culture shock” in a nice situation to us.
Taiwan is such a convinent place.it only takes less than an hour to get to the tourist attractions!!
The streets are indeed very special, you can feel the Japanese culture remaining among the architecture. The well-known snack in the town is really popular - Taro balls, they taste absolutely delicious and chewy.
Jiufen was also a time when there was a gold rush, which brought the town to prosper. The roads up to the town are quite small and curvy though,so it is better to go by a chartered car because it seems not so convenient going by the crowded bus.
Houtong cat village from New Taipei City, Taiwan has been selected by CNN as one of the " The world's six cat-watching spots ". Our family loves cats and was very curious about this attraction. Therefore, we decided to arrange the Taiwan tour through the travel agency.
Professional tour guide. We had a great stay in Taiwan. Hope we can visit Taiwan again soon. Thanks to justaiwantour
There are plenty of articles about the historical town in the mountains near the north coast of Taiwan, Jiufen. The town was built by the Japanese during their colonization and we can walk through the street view of the famous animation Spirited Away!
According to my best friend’s Taiwan family trip was gorgeous last year, I wanted to go with my family this year. I realize Chinese is important nowadays and I always want to let my children learn some so maybe it would be a nice change. Due to my friend gave me some trip advice, I almost checked everything before we arrived. I booked a Taipei day tour and Jiufen tour from vast Taiwan tour packages for our whole family.
My wife and children are amazed at the Yehliu trip! We took a lot of photos from Yehliu, and my children couldn’t wait to go back to school to share this holiday with their classmates.
Elisabeth and I are very interested in the peculiar geological landscape. We really want to go to Yehliu and see the strange landscape after the weathering of nature. After successfully meeting with our tour guide in Keelung Harbor, we went directly to the place where our nightmare was.
