A great way to see and experience the city. Alex managed our group so well and we will never forget the experience!
Active way to see Taipei. We are a family of 4 (kids 14 and 12) it was a great way of seeing the many sites within Taipei on bike. We toured the temple areas, learned about historical architecture, tried different types of small bites, saw the night markets, eateries, etc... we covered a decent portion of the city. Great host!
Alex did a fantastic job on the bike tour, super knowledgeable guy and I had a great time. Interesting breakfast as well.
The bicycle was not the newest, the 3 gears didn’t help much. Bicycling along nerrow streets was fun but the explanations were not very good. We did not visit a tenple! We just passed by and stopped for a photo. It seemed the guide has lived here for a year or so. I will not recommend this tour to our friends. It was ok but nothing to write home about.
A very fun way to see the city and learn about the history of Taiwan and Taipei. Included a typical local breakfast, a morning market and multiple sites along the way.
An excellent 4 hour guided bike tour around Taipei with our knowledgeable guide Zak from Taipei Bike Works, taking in many sights including the Chiang Kai Chek Memorial, inside several temples, a typical Taiwanese breakfast, the changing of the guard, and along the river path. Zak succinctly summarised the history of Taiwan and gave us many insights into significant events past, present, and future.
Great tour and amazing first immersion in Taipei, I would 100% recommend it on your first days to get acquainted with the city, its customs and a traditional Taiwanese breakfast ! Our guide was brilliant, she was very attentive to each person in the tour, she shared her experience of the city, she made us feel like we belong in Taipei! 🙏 And as for the cycling, it’s very easy so if you wonder whether you can do it, the answer is likely yes!
This was an amazing experience. Everything was so thoughtfully planned out! It was such a unique way to learn about the city, see a ton of things we probably wouldn’t have found on our own and even sample some traditional breakfast foods! It was more than we had expected and highly recommend!!
It was a great tour to -just in few hours - get a really good overview of some of the most important spots and sights of Taipei. The guide, Rita, was fun, energetic and knowledgeable. We saw temples, markets, cultural places, famous streets and places. Tried Taiwanese breakfast and tea. The bike was super comfy and we biked in a good pace, not too fast, not too slow. It was really fun! All in all, highly recommended!!!
This is an international experience with amazing conversation and discussion about Taiwan! The breakfast and tea treat are quite refreshing breaks for the bike ride! You’ll meet like minded people who enjoy cycling too! Make sure you know how to ride a bike or you’ll be turned away; I only bring this up because the tour guide mentioned this has happened before. The locals ride their bikes often so if you want a local feel this is definitely worth it! The bicycling was an awesome experience but the company and exchange of ideas and experiences was even better! One last tidbit is the views of a the city are awesome and you get a lot of recommendations of places to come back to again and again!
10/10 recommend if you’re in Taipei! Tour guide, Mike, took great care of us and taught us a lot about Taiwan!
A great tour of Taipei! Loved hearing the history of the country and seeing the Memorial, day markets and Longshen Temple. Bring water and sunscreen!
Great experience with Priscilla. I enjoyed breakfast, seeing the temple, the monument amd changing of the guard.
Great tour. We do bike tours a lot and this was one of the best. Longer than most. Apex did a good job making sure everyone could hear what he was telling us. Breakfast was a bonus.
Alex, our guide, was super-friendly and extremely knowledgeable about locations and history of Taipei and Taiwan. The food choice was outstanding and the ride was straightforward and comfortable, even though it rained on us the whole time. A great introduction to the real city.
The evening before my tour date, I received the first message from the tour provider telling me the tour would be cancelled because not enough people had signed up. So poor communication, wish I would have been informed sooner than late in the evening before the tour was supposed to take place so that I could make other plans. And it wasn’t canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Highly recommend this tour- fun, informative and ‘Sweet Potato’ Pricilla was an absolute doll.
Great morning exploring Taipei with Mike. Nice way to get a feel for the city on our first day and get an insight into the history and the people. Route was quiet, no stress, no crowds. Easy and an education. Quality, Thanks Mike.
An unforgettable experience. For first timers in Taipei this is essential or just for anyone who doesn’t know about the history. You get a beautiful bike tour and also Mike knows so much about the city and he shares all of it. Truly incredible experience and I could not recommend it highly enough!!!
Regular bike, no e-bike, wonderful guide. We rode through alleys and visited the Chen Ki Check Memorial and stopped for a local breakfast. Highly recommend this tour.
Great way to familiarize yourself into Taipei if it’s your first time. Interesting and fun, 1000% recommend.
The guide was very knowledgable and went through major events in Taiwan history. We cycled around various streets and monuments
Had a great time on the bicycle tour. Just the right amount of effort. Was able to see a large amount of the city for such a short time. Tony was a great tour guide who wove his personal experiences into the tour. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an active tour.
Great tour. Alex was an excellent guide. Got a great sense of the history of Taipei along with seeing the sites. Bike and route were both an easy ride.
Started with a good breakfast. Mike, our guide, was exrememely knowledgeable on the history and politics of Taipei and brought it all to life as we cycled to each of the various locations. Highly recommended, a great way to see the city.
Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Mike, was a wealth of knowledge—he didn't just show us the sights but explained the historical significance behind them, which made the experience so much richer. Plus, the bikes were a dream to use. Even if you aren't a regular cyclist, it's a smooth and easy way to explore Taipei.
Easy riding. Lots of good history and information. Yummy breakfast at local restaurant. Well worth doing.
Our tour guide, Rita, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and kept a good pace. She interacted with all 8 members of the group.
A truly marvellous way to experience Taipei. Rita, our guide was friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. She really made the ride interesting, enjoyable and also took some excellent photos of us. The pace was relaxed with a number of stops, yet we still managed to cover around 15km in the four hours. There were us three and three other individuals on the tour. The maximum number of participants is nine. Included in the price is a breakfast which has egg pancakes, something with radish and pork and other local dishes. I highly recommend this tour.
This is a super easy and safe ride even for those who are not cycling experts. Rita, our guide, took us on an interesting tour through back streets as well as sailing along grand boulevards. She always made sure intersections were safe for all to cross. Breakfast was a pure delight and since we were an adventurous crew, Rita introduced us a snack of pig blood cake. It’s far tastier than it sounds. In addition to being a great biking guiide, Rita is smart and has a delightful sense of humor. Don’t miss this excursion.
Cycling in downtown Taipei was pretty fun despite the rain. I would definitely recommend this as a quick and active intro to Taipei
Great way to see the city. Recommend doing earlier in your trip to get a lay of the land. Had a really great experience and was a trip highlight.
It was a great experience with my son. Mike is a great guid. He’s knowledgeable with history and culture. The route leads us to culture and scenic. The whole trip was informative and enjoyable
Alex was a great guide. From a cycling perspective, most of the riding is done on less crowded alleys and streets, although there is a bit of riding in more crowded city areas. For the more crowded parts, Alex was careful to explain how best to safely navigate. From a touring perspective, we stopped to see several important historical things and visited multiple different types of neighborhoods. With each stop Alex explained various aspects of the history of Taiwan and the local people. He presented his personal views but also was quick to acknowledge that not everyone in Taiwan shares identical opinions. I found his narrative to be very informative and the sites we visited to be extremely interesting. Breakfast was at a small local shop with authentic food. Not fancy at all, but very tasty and a great way to sample local foods and be immersed in the culture.
Bike tours are one of the best ways to see a city. And this was proof. It was a lot to fit in, in just 4 hours but it was well worth it. The added breakfast at a local Taiwanese restaurant was great. Our tour guide knew a lot about the city and you could tell that she did this a lot. I did this on a long layover from the U.S. on my way to Vietnam, and I was done and able to catch an uber back to the airport all within 12 hours of landing. I highly recommend.
This was an amazing opportunity to see the inner sights of beautiful TaipeI. Rita, our guide was amazing and guided us successfully through streets to visit temples, memorial places and along the beautiful biking river trail. We also had the chance to eat a traditional Taiwanese breakfast and enjoyed the fresh air and friendly faces along the journey. WELL WORTH THE TIME.
This trip was everything we expected and MORE. Rita our incredible guide, showed us many interesting temples, historical references to Taipei’s fascinating past and provided us the best routes to see the inner city streets by bike. We tasted an original Taiwanese breakfast and had delicious Chinese tea as well. Would definitely be back to ride.
This was a great first-day experience of Taipei -- thankfully the weather allowed for it! Mike's tour of the city was entertaining and educational, which really helped ground in the context of the area. Crowds were thin, traffic was light, and navigating the streets was so smooth. The tour was well paced, a good balance of breaks and refreshments. The breakfast is a definite highlight: very unique local flavours not to be missed!
Excellent cycling tour of Taipei. Our tour guide Rita was really knowledgeable and explained about the various spots. The group was also really good. The choice of locations and spots was perfect way to see the city. Great food as well.
Great historical lesson on Taiwan and a great way to see the city of Taipei. Mike was an awesome guide. Would highly recommend.
We had a great day! Mike, our guide, was very knowledgeable of Taipei and Taiwan history. He was also very friendly and spoke english very well. Super fun day!
Alex was a great guide and adapted well to the holiday celebrations going on during our tour. I highly recommend!
The tour was fantastic. Pricilla was a fantastic guide. We loved all the history and stories she told. She took us to different local markets, tourist sights and even managed to help us navigate to very busy and very exciting Chinese New Year crowds on Dihua st. (I might be spelling that one wrong).
The bike tour was great! The guide was kind and insightful and the bikes were well-maintained and fitted to each person. A fun way to see the city!
It was fun. We covered quite some area in 4 hours. My guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I would do it again next time.
A fantastic bicycle tour with a brilliant host, the perfect balance of context and history about Taiwan’s complex past, alongside a great introduction to Taipei.
Michael was excellent! Great crash course in Taiwan’s history. A good way to get a lay of the land and see some of the major sites. Delicious breakfast that felt very authentic. Had an awesome time! Would definitely recommend.
Really great tour with a lot of history lessons! It’s like East Asia History on wheels. Our guide even gave us great food recommendations!
Fantastic - one of the best things we did in Taipei. The tour guide was brilliant, enthusiastic, fund and incredibly knowledgable.
