I just had the most wonderful stay. The rooms are furnished with solid wood furniture that feels warm and grounding. Between the heavy doors and the quiet hallways, the soundproofing is excellent, making the room feel like your own private retreat. But what truly touched me was the soulful atmosphere that lingers throughout the hotel, especially in the reading room. Even though it is a semi-open space, it never feels noisy. Sitting there, facing the massive forest mural, I felt as though I were reading deep in the mountains, surrounded by stillness. It feels like discovering a small hidden forest sanctuary tucked away in the middle of the city.

Clean room and friendly stuff. Bad breakfast concept as the meal will be served and the dishes are predefined. Taste not so good. Buffet would be better. Coffee not hot enoug and taste not good. Bad airconditioner in room. Cooldown needs a lot of time. Location without car difficulty. All in all not worth the money.
We stayed at Yusense Hotel for four nights. The hotel is on the smaller side with less than 15 rooms per floor, so it was quite quiet and peaceful, while being a short few bus stops to Shilin and the metro. The decor also all feels well curated and personalized, with hardwood furniture, unique artworks, and a cozy sitting area on each floor. I quite liked the earthy color palette. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful; they were even willing to give us an umbrella for free as it was raining rather hard while we were checking out.
I’ve had a better experience here than Regent and Grand Hyatt in Taipei. Most exceptional is the staff and the service. I had a stomachache and can only eat very limited kinds of food. During breakfast I asked if I can just have white rice congee and steamed vegetables, and our waitress kindly agreed to make these off-menu items and even made some helpful suggestions (change the type of vegetables so it tastes better when steamed; whether I’d like soy sauce, etc.). I can’t overstate how much I appreciate her and the kitchen staff for going above and beyond to help. More importantly, she seems to genuinely care and the kindness shines through our interaction. Yes the hotel doesn’t have a lobby full of luxury brands like Regent or a fountain like Grand Hyatt, but the room, the view, the service and the staff are above and beyond those more recognizable brands. And those are what’s essential for my trip. If you’re planning to visit the National Palace, I highly recommend this place. It’s a short Uber/taxi ride to the closest MRT station (Shilin) if you want to go to the city center, or
I was absolutely thrilled to step into a spectacular room that was not only immaculate but also offered breathtaking views of the majestic mountainside! The in-room treats were a delightful surprise—fresh fruit, refreshing drinks, and thoughtful amenities all provided free of charge. This stunning room was the perfect setup for my travel plans, and I found myself wishing I could stay longer to soak in every moment. It was a truly remarkable experience that exceeded all my expectations!
