I had a very pleasant stay at Yamagata Kaku Hotel. My first impression of the room was excellent , it was very clean, spacious, and beautifully laid out. The design felt thoughtful and comfortable, which made the stay enjoyable right from the start. The location is also a big plus. It’s conveniently close to the train station, making it easy to get around Jiaoxi without much hassle. The only downside for me was the limited availability of halal food. The main option I found was a small place run by an Indonesian lady and her Taiwanese husband, which required about a 20-minute Uber ride. It would have been nicer to have more convenient halal dining options nearby. Overall, though, the hotel itself was lovely clean, well-designed rooms and a great location. I’d be happy to stay here again.

This is my honest feedback for the stay on 24th July. Firstly the service and ambience is top notch Breakfast was good as well as per Taiwan standard The thing which I really did not liked was the bed was so uncomfortable. We stayed at 7th floor with kind size bed room. I must say the bed they had in my room was super basic one to be honest like the ones you can get in really cheap price which was a real disappointment because after staying there I felt so tired because I was unable to sleep. Considering all the conditions above I will not return to stay again
I just left a great 4-night stay here. The location of this hotel is perfect. It’s a very short walk from the train station, so even with a roller bag, it was easy to get to. It’s also in the main part of town, so everything seemed to be a 5-10 minute walk. The front desk was extremely friendly; I was greeted every time I was in the lobby. I was let into the room 1.5 hours early. It was more like a suite, with a large sitting area with table, a separate built-in writing desk/makeup station, huge bathroom and a bathtub that could fit 2 adults and a couple children. Yukatas were provided; it could be worn to the public onsen. I’ve been to hotels in Japan that also had public onsens. The one here is on par, if not slightly better. The dressing and bathing areas are modern, clean and spacious. They even have private showers. Lots of private toilets too (like 10?), whereas in Japan they don’t have nearly as many, even in the big sentos. It had 3 baths of varying degrees; I was never able to sit in the extremely hot one on the left, but regularly sat in the middle one (which was plain hot), then cooled off in the right one. I went to the onsen 2-3 times a day, where I was always greeted by a friendly attendant. I would go back to Jiaoxi just for this hotel and onsen, that’s how much I loved it. Highly recommend.
Everyone was friendly. The rooms are nice and have a great view. It’s also very clean. The bath robes are a cute detail. We liked our Onsen and it’s helpful that they put a dehumidifier in the room. There’s also a lot happening in the surrounding area. You can find lots of stores and food. We had 4 breakfast options. One veggie Indian, a Japanese one with fish, and Asian ones with meat. On top there is a small buffet.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the train station, which is very convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. It even features a private hot spa in the bathroom, large enough for a couple. The staff were consistently polite and greeted us warmly whenever we passed by. The reception team was especially helpful—they recommended places for us to visit based on our limited time and also arranged transportation for us. We also loved the breakfast. The food was plentiful, very fresh, and the menu changed daily, allowing us to try different dishes each morning. Housekeeping did an excellent job as well. Our room was cleaned and neatly arranged every day. Special thanks to Tia Saskia for her outstanding work in keeping our room spotless and comfortable. Overall, it’s a wonderful hotel and a great place to stay.
