The moment I stepped into this hotel, I knew there was no turning back. The seemingly endless corridor didn't feel like it led to a room, but to another world. The dim lighting exuded the atmosphere of the Ghost Festival, and with every step, I felt something silently following me. Even though I knew no one was behind me, I couldn't help but turn back to check where the female ghost had chased me. This wasn't a hotel room; it was an immersive horror game. The self-check-in system was the perfect finishing touch—no counter, no staff, you had to explore on your own, like inheriting a mysterious mansion abandoned for decades. The room key wasn't a key card, but a door to unlock a seal. Besides the elevator, I highly recommend taking the stairs with the blood-red handrail. Each step felt like triggering a hidden boss battle, as if the background music would stop and the screen would display: "You are being watched by an unknown entity." However, the moment I pushed open the door, all the curses seemed to vanish. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed so soft it felt like it had been blessed by the gods, the amenities were complete, and the price was unbelievably affordable. It was right next to Shilin Night Market; after buying a bag full of late-night snacks, I could return to my room, eat fried chicken, and watch a horror movie. Downstairs was the bustling night market, and outside the door was a terrifyingly long corridor, like something out of a horror movie – heaven and hell were separated by just one door. I've stayed here many times. Every time I come to Taipei for business, training, or tourism, I step into this long corridor again and face its trials.

The service and rooms were absolutely terrible. Do not come here for any reason, whether for travel, exams, or any other purpose. It's awful. The automated systems are advanced, but the check-in process after booking is extremely incomplete and unintuitive. They gave me a link to check in, but at the facial recognition stage, my ID and a selfie didn't match, so it failed verification and showed "under manual review." By this time, I had been waiting a long time. I messaged Line customer service asking them to expedite the process, but they kept rambling on and on, asking, "Did you check in? Did you click the link? Didn't I give you the link? Didn't you follow the instructions?" The problem is, I had already followed the instructions and completed the verification process, and it was already in manual review. They kept assuming I hadn't clicked the link and were typing insults at me. I didn't argue, but clicked the link again for a second review, which also failed, and it still had to be manually reviewed. So, during the manual review, customer service kept assuming I hadn't checked in and was yelling at me, when the real problem was that I was waiting for manual review because their facial recognition failed. Therefore, 1. the check-in process is not intuitive enough; 2. facial recognition is not intelligent enough; 3. manual verification is too slow; 4. customer service staff are confused and yell at guests. If I could, I wouldn't even give it one star. The customer service staff are incompetent and abusive; they're really terrible...
The room is very clean, they also provide kettle, refrigerator, hair dryer and bidet for the toilet. Bunch of electric outlet and lamp are available. The humidity in room is just perfect for me and the AC works really well. Although it is an unmanned hotel, communicate with the staff is very easy, especially if you can use Chinese (use translator if you cannot speak/write traditional chinese will help). So make sure to add their LINE account. They are very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, just need 8mins walk to Shilin Station and 1mins walk to the Shilin Night Market. You can also find local restaurant for breakfast in the morning. Convenient stores are also available nearby. Will recommend it to my friends and family👍🏻 NB: You should make a call with the phone available outside until someone picking up. They will give you passcode and access to the room.
Room looks recently renovated with minor missed on the corner area. Customer service available via Line provide quick response. No daily room cleaning unless you stay 4 nights and more. However room facilities is not consistent. For the same triple room we booked for 2 units, 1 with bathtub and 1 without it. Try to avoid check in late as car is unable to drive you to the entrance.
Terrible. The picture lies. Thought we were getting a big room turns out it was so small the bed could barely fit. The air was dirty and we started coughing as soon as we walked in. The room was very unsanitary, there was mold everywhere. The water pressure was so small we could barely shower. Tv remote was broken. And sound proofing was so bad that we got a call from our neighbors just by using the hair dryer. Highly not recommended
