The golf and hotel were nice. A bit dated but lovely facilities. Had a golf trip here with friends. Overall a 4 star experience, golf about 500nt too expensive for the region. Pool is a kids pool but worked to cool off after round. Best pineapple shrimp I've had in my 16 years in Taiwan. A must post round.

I booked this place because it was the closest accommodation to something I was visiting. Even though I never did anything golf related while I was at here, my girlfriend and I were treated very well by the staff! We visited when there was a typhoon happening in the south so as precaution, things around the property were tied down. We honestly think we were two of the only guests during the first few days. Other than the daily golfers, we think we were the only on property guests and we got by with Google Translate on our phones since we didn't speak Mandarin. The rooms are definitely somewhat dated along with the property itself. However, included breakfast and complimentary late dinner food was great. Since we couldn't simply walk to a restaurant or 7-11 nearby (You needed a taxi or Uber to go places off property), having complimentary breakfast and late dinner was so nice. And the food was actually good as well. I don't know if I'll ever come back because I don't have a lot of reason to visit Taoyuan specifically anymore. But I'm happy that when I did visit, Yaward was our choice. It made for a lot of good memories.
Review is for the golf course. Poorly managed course. The staff overbook tee times, resulting in hour long waits to start the back 9. Today, we teed off at 5:40am. You would think that starting so early would result in a fast round but no, we finished in 6 hours (with 1 hour wait to start the 10th hole). Even on the front 9, we had to wait for the group in front of us on every single shot. Very unfortunate because the course design is quite good.
Stayed there over a weekend, rooms at the old wings are old, New wings (with 2storages) are better. What I need to point out is the facility, there is a big green golf area, but they don't allow people to take a walk, not even on the alspha area, not even after the golfing hours... There is a glamping area(operate separately) designed for people who have young children, they prepare lots of games for kids (under 7), for regular guests, the pool is small, dirty and overcrowded.don't be fooled by pictures. The staffs are polite as all Taiwanese people. Food quality is average. I don't suggest people to spend time here if you are not aiming for a golf only weekend...
Stayed in the glamping area which is 1950s caravans with modern mod-cons such as Japanese toilets, AC, smart TVs etc. The site is fairly clean but some lights and rides were broken. But when informed, the staff said they would fix. Good family atmosphere.
