Seems like a hotel that services mostly travelers so not exactly a good hotel for locals. The service is slow and sometimes awkward, like asking national IDs for all adults even when locals; I have never seen this request in any other hotels in Taiwan. Also, despite being a Marriot hotel, members generally do not receive any benefits unless you are top tiers, and even then you will be surprised by how little they can provide.
The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Having a family mart built-in to the lobby was a great addition. Main issue I had was the shuttle service to and from the airport was non-existent. They only do one way drop-offs to the airport now, now pickup. And you have to schedule in advance. Tried to schedule 3 days before but they said it was already booked full for the time we needed, so it's an extra 400NTD taxi ride.
We stayed as a family from May 30 to May 31. The hotel’s overall service was outstanding and very child‑friendly. Every staff member was warm and welcoming, and in particular, the female duty manager on May 31 stood out. She was highly experienced and oversaw our stay and dining arrangements with great professionalism. Her attentiveness truly reflected Sheraton’s international standard of hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
1) service was good 2) whole floors smelled like cigarettes, had to move rooms. It still smelled, but not as much. 3) AC turns itself off, you can set at 18C, but only ever got down to 20 (Inlike to sleep with it cold). 4) Buffet was good. 5) no water bottles in rooms, central water dispenser by elevators.
I stayed at this hotel for five nights last week. The lady at the front desk, Terri was knowledgeable, helpful and freindly. Another staff member named Clara, working in the lounge was also great. The lounge happy hour included a very good food assortment and the breakfast buffet in the main restaurant was also good. The design of the room I had, an upgrade, was OK but the unusual day bed/sofa took up a lot of space. A work station would have been better there. Everything in the hotel was was clean, crisp and the hotel generally quiet. The free shuttle times were not convenient but the taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. The surrounding area, even the park, were not pretty. I walked around the area quite a bit. There are very few local shops in the area. I woul go back to this hotel just because all of the staff were great and the food pretty good.
