Awesome hotel. Staff are very helpful, there is some construction on the forecourt but the staff control the traffic flow to the forecourt allowing guests to be picked up from the door. Concierge help load luggage into Ubers and Taxis and open the door for you to get in. Very comfortable beds. Spacious and luxurious rooms.

Overall, I had a very good stay at the Sheraton Grand Taipei. The hotel amenities are solid, and the staff really stood out. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and very prompt when handling requests. The breakfast was also quite good, with a nice selection of items. If you have lounge access, that adds a lot of value since you can use the lounge for both breakfast and dinner. My main complaint is the gym. There is plenty of cardio equipment, but the weight-training setup is fairly limited. For a hotel of this size, I would expect a larger and more robust fitness center. Also the size of the rooftop pool is pretty small. The rooms have a more rustic, traditional, and somewhat dated style. Whether that appeals to you will probably come down to personal preference, but it definitely does not have a modern feel. The immediate area around the hotel is another slight drawback. There is not a lot of shopping, dining, or general commercial activity right outside the hotel. Fortunately, Shandao Temple MRT Station is only about 50 meters from the entrance, so it is very easy to get around Taipei. Overall, the excellent service, good breakfast, lounge access, and convenient MRT location make this a very comfortable place to stay, despite the limited gym and quieter immediate surroundings.
The hotel is very close to Taipei Main Station, which makes it a great starting point for exploring the city. I was lucky to get an upgrade to the 15th floor and the view from the room was really nice. Unfortunately, the room was quite humid and had a noticeable smell of dampness. There was also a lot of noise from construction work during my stay. I understand that the hotel cannot do much about construction outside, but the working hours were quite irritating, as the work started early in the morning and continued until late. Apart from that, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast in main restsurant offered a good variety of dishes. The club lounge, was rather average. The happy hour is limited to a certain amount of time, which I understand, but the food was not refilled regularly. When something was available, you had to be quick to get it before it was gone.
The front desk told me that their special children’s package was fantastic and included tickets to the sixth-floor playroom. However, the playroom is much more suitable for children under 6. My kids are around 8–10 years old, so they weren’t interested in it at all. Other than that, I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and have always enjoyed it. The regular rooms are already quite good.
Given an upgraded room on the Club floor being a Titanium member. Breakfast and evening happy hour food and drinks in the Club lounge was good. Had things delivered to us and they were all left in our room. Splendid service. Will return for 1 more night at the end of this week. Hope we will receive the same level of service and enjoy another shorter stay. We were upgraded to a wonderful and large Diplomatic Suite for our 1-night stay. It was great to have a separate living area to sort out all our bags before leaving Taipei. Again delivery to our room of all of our bags and a carton of goods someone had left for us was done without any delay or fuss. Happy that we had chosen to stay at Sheraton Grand Taipei again.
