I stayed at this hotel to celebrate my Dads birthday, the front desk agent Teri and Leila were both super attentive. We had to wait for the room to be cleaned, they had tried their best to actually get a room for us in time (actually got a room within 30min of waiting) even led us to the lounge waiting. Basically everything they did was attentive and friendly. We really had a great time because of them. Also Aki, at the lounge was also very friendly and helpful too. Great stay because of them.
We stayed at the Renaissance Taipei Shihlin for the entirety of our two week stay in Taipei and we could not have been more pleased. Close to MRT on the red line, easy to get anywhere but quieter and prettier area than the city center. Hotel staff are warm, kind and attentive. We had a great experience and highly recommend to anyone visiting Taipei.
While calling from abroad to arrange a reservation for my relative, I was truly impressed by the exceptional professionalism and warmth demonstrated by Ms. Tatty. She provided a thorough and patient explanation of the hotel’s offerings and adeptly assisted me with modifying the booking. It was a genuine pleasure to experience such outstanding service during my very first interaction with your establishment, and I can confidently say that I will choose this hotel for my own stay whenever I return to Taiwan.
Overall, the stay was fairly comfortable. However, check-in took over 20 minutes even though there were only two groups totaling four people checking in at the same time. The room itself was mostly great. As for the toiletries, there were three bottles in total, all made in China, but none of them clearly listed their ingredients. The text was so small that it was hard to read, making me hesitant to use them. I'd recommend bringing your own just to be safe.
This hotel is pretty fantastic. The views from the infinity pool on the roof are breathtaking, especially on a bright sunny day like we were able to experience. The breakfast here was not included, but to us, it didn't matter too much as there are some fantastic food options within walking distance. The proximity to the Shilin MRT station is also appreciated!
The only negative comment I would add, is that the interior walls of the pool could use a little bit of a cleaning, but it didn't take anything away from our time there.
