Property is dated but well maintained. Breakfast is the worst i have had in Asia in a multi week trip. Service I would give 0 stars if it was possible. Reaching the front desk or concierge is impossible. I tried over 30 x. When I pointed this out to the staff no one seemed to even care. A concierge request for a Michelin star restaurant ended up with the concierge sending us to a fast food level place. The Amex fine hotel resort credit is a scam at this place. You can’t reach anyone in the spa, concierge or front desk to book. My guess is that a simple audit by FHR to assess the number of people who were able to use the spa credit would be close to zero.

Gorgeous hotel in a great spot for a trip to Taipei. Location is fantastic - everythung you might need is within walking distance... Street food, great restaurants, massage, shopping, convenience stores, public transit... A within a few minutes walk. Stayed here for 12 nights and would stay again. Super, super clean. One of the most complete hotel gyms I've ever seen - so much so that I was able to forgo a local gym membership. Service at the hotel is impeccable. Can't say enough how impressive the service was. An issue with my original room was quickly addressed and resolved with an upgraded room. The rooms themselves are huge and quite comfortable with spacious bathrooms. The only negative I could find with the rooms were a lack of drawer space. For a longer stay I prefer to unpack my suitcase but there weren't really any serviceable drawers with which to do so. Overall a wonderful experience at a historic but still very relevant hotel!
As a first-time visitor to Taipei on a 5-night stay, Regent Taipei delivered a standout experience. Don't be deceived by the plain building exterior—inside is a grand property with several lower levels of high-end luxury retail. As an IHG Platinum member, I was pleased to receive an upgrade to a higher floor with a view of Taipei 101 in the distance. Staff across every department were consistently warm and attentive. The team handles guest care brilliantly. When I reported the mattress was too firm, guest services added extra padding the next morning to fix the setup. By the time I spoke with Connie, the On-Duty Manager, the physical issue was already resolved, but her service recovery was exceptional. She checked in to ensure I was completely comfortable and sent complimentary sparkling tea and desserts to the room. The complimentary breakfast buffet is fantastic, featuring extensive live stations—the Taiwanese Rice Ball station was a personal favorite. In the evenings, the atrium provides a great atmosphere with live music featuring a grand piano, cello, and singer. Between the friendly staff, thoughtful management, and excellent amenities, Regent Taipei is an easy recommendation. I will definitely stay here again on future visits.
I recently stayed at Regent Taipei during a business trip and had a wonderful experience despite an unexpected ligament injury that limited my mobility. Before arrival, I was concerned about moving between two consecutive reservations and managing a late-night flight home. The hotel team was incredibly thoughtful and arranged a room close to the elevator, allowed me to stay in the same room throughout my stay, and helped make my visit much more comfortable. A special highlight was the Tai Pan Lounge. Having both my room and the lounge on the same floor made a huge difference while recovering from my injury. The lounge was quiet, relaxing, and provided a great place to rest and work throughout the day. I would especially like to thank the front desk and guest service teams for their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help. Their practical solutions and genuine care turned what could have been a very difficult trip into a comfortable and memorable stay. Thank you, Regent Taipei. I look forward to returning in the future.
Our family of three stayed for five nights and absolutely loved it. The location is superb—plenty of shops and great dining options within walking distance. The hotel has multiple entrances and exits, each leading to different directions, which made exploring the area very convenient. Our room was quiet and spacious. A big thank you to Christina, the manager, for arranging a room with a superb view of Taipei 101. Breakfast each morning was excellent, both in quality and service. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool, which offers an amazing view of 101. There is also a spa on Floor B3, open to guest with age of 16 and above. We didn’t get a chance to try the in-house restaurants this time, but we’ll save them for our next visit. Highly recommended!
