A very affordable and convenient place to stay in Taipei especially for those who don't mind sharing room with other travellers. It can be conveniently reached as it is directly above the Dingxi Station of the Orange Line. It is also at least 5 stations away from Taipei Main, albeit transfers between Lines are required. Check-in, as well as check out, was fast and easy. They do allow temporarily leaving luggages or hanging out in their lobby/lounge area. They provide free coffee (they have a coffee maker) and tea, as well as a ref where food can be stored. They also have a microwave in for reheating of food. Bathroom is regularly cleaned, and their toilet has automatic bidet, which is fantastic for me. Their showers are cold/hot, and has free body wash and shampoo. No towels are provided but these may be rented if needed. They also provide free breakfast (basic sandwich options w/ choice drinks like probably 22oz of iced black/green tea, or milk or some softdrinks). They have lockers that are big enough for some mid-size luggages. Overall, I would say this is a fantastic place to stay in Taipei especially for those who are on budget.

Best design bathroom i ever met! I have experience for 4-5 hostel in taipei and here is my fav. I can get hostel price with breakfast. It’s near subway station, convenience for public transport. Only location that’s not in the city like taipei main or ximending
When I was staying here, there were multiple school / sports team field trips and groups of children or high-schoolers were screaming and yelling down the hallways at midnight. They would run up and down, bang on the doors of their fellow classmates, laugh, shout, etc. I understand kids are just being kids, but the hotel staff did absolutely nothing to discourage their unruly behavior. This continued for 2 to 3 days for the entire duration of their stay. Additionally, other adults in the room spoke on their phones in odd hours such as 5 AM and 1 AM. I've never stayed at a hostel with so many inconsiderate people before to be honest. For this reason, and their complete lack of consideration to the other guests staying at the hostel, I cant recommend this place despite the good location. There is also a moldy smell in the room I stayed at, and mold growing in the showerrooms of the male restrooms. I highly suggest if youre looking for peace and quiet, dont come here since they seem to like hosting massive groups of 10+ children.
I booked a bed and breakfast, on the spot it turned out that breakfast is not served on the spot, but every guest receives vouchers for breakfast in one of the nearby fast-food restaurants, but that's not why I flew to Taiwan to eat fast-food, which I have in my own country. The room was too small for 6 beds. The staff was polite and helpful, far from the city center.
Park City Inn & Hostel is quite nicely decorated and comfortable hostel right by Dingxi MRT station. It offers a variety to dorms and rooms to choose from. For my one-night stay I picked a 4-bed mixed dormitory. On entering the room, I noticed how specious and well organised it was with clean bedding linen. Though, it is worth mentioning that you are the one responsible for making up your bed. Each bed comes with a secure locker big enough to put a small suitcase in and hang a few clothes. The hostel has a comfy lounge area and dining area with kitchen. If you want to store food in the fridge, do not forget to apply a sticker with your name and room number. Bathrooms in this hostel are definitely the cleanest I've seen so far. The area is pleasantly laid out to allow convenience of movement. Great design of the showers with a division between the shower and the changing area make it easy to change and keep your clothes dry. This would have been a truly amazing stay if not for the group of extremely noisy kids who checked in after 10pm (10pm till 6am is a quiet time at the hostel), and did not react to mine, and the staff requests of keeping the noise down. I still want to recommend this place for a stay due to it's great location, nice design and good price.
