Excellent hotel. Rooms were large, clean and up to date, Toto toilets that keep your butt warm, clean and dry. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, English speaking so no issues with language barrier. It’s also right at the footsteps of the station so very easy to commute by train. I would definitely recommend and go back.
10/10. Excellent hotel in a brilliant location. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Taiwan. My wife and baby travelled from Australia and have enjoyed our stay for 3 nights. We found the hotel to be clean, has spacious room, and is in a perfect position to explore the city. The staff were respectful during our stay. Special thanks to Howard at the front desk on our first day, and for Maple who was prompt and efficient on our last night. This level of service is much appreciated. We hope to be back soon!
One of the Japanese-style hotels worth considering when staying in Taipei. The location is extremely convenient, making it very easy to get around or call a taxi whenever needed. The hotel has a comfortable lounge area, although there are usually quite a few people working there, so you are expected to keep very quiet. My room was facing a construction site, but surprisingly, it did not affect my overall experience at all. However, there were a few things I was not completely satisfied with. The bathroom layout was quite unusual, as it was separated from the sleeping area only by a curtain, which did not provide much privacy. The drainage in the bathroom was also quite slow. The price here is quite reasonable and good value for the location. The staff were not as warm or attentive as I had expected, but this was not a major issue. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay and a decent choice for those looking Japanese-style hotel in a convenient location in Taipei.
A big thank you to Maple and the staff for making our stay during the first leg of our Taiwan trip so seamless, and especially to Howard at the front desk for helping us out on our first day. We had a slight hiccup at the beginning of our stay, but it was handled and resolved quickly. The hotel is clean, spacious and very generous in size. Travelling with our little toddler, we really appreciated having enough room for her to move around comfortably without having to constantly worry about hazards. The room layout is also one of the better ones we’ve experienced. The location is ideal for exploring the city. The bus and train stations are just outside, making it incredibly convenient to get around. We were able to walk to a hairdresser, enjoy a traditional Taiwanese breakfast and have some beef noodles, all within a short distance. It’s also very easy to get a taxi or Uber from the hotel. Overall, it was a very comfortable and convenient stay, especially for a family travelling with a young child. We’d happily stay here again. Thank you.
This hotel was a find. Great central location, MRT stop is literally next to the hotel. The area has great access to local shops to grab what you need (7-11 is 3 min walk away, next to a cute little park where you can bust out all the yummy Asian snacks and rest in shade.). Five min walk away is a small night market with great food options, a fun multi-story electronics mall and DonDonDonki supermarket. The hotel got just about everything right. VERY QUIET inside (there was construction outside my window that was pretty much inaudible). The hallways were well carpeted and I never heard other guests. The room was standard size. If you are two travelers with a lot of luggage you will have to be smart about the space or get a larger room but for me it was spacious enough. Everything was well and smartly designed - for example, there were seemlessly designed light controls for some/all lights by the bed but the bedside light also had a physical switch in a groove on the wall that you can easily find by touch. The roller curtain was blackout and the thermostat was simple to operate the very quiet air-conditioning. They even thought through the do-not-disturb tags - they were simple magnets you stuck on the door. And I particularly appreciated the superfancy Toto toilet, IYKYK :). The entire hotel was spotless, staff was very professional and courteous. I was not familiar with this hotel chain before and now I they have my attention. Truly two thumbs up.
