This is a fantastic hotel with an amazing rooftop pool, as well as cold and hot spring water in separate tubs in every room (with a lovely view of the mountains if you're in the right position). It is an easy walk to town for snacks, lunches, or dinners, but the hotel also has an amazing buffet for breakfast. It's delicious and comes with great service.

Bryan was so so helpful. I don't speak mandarin but my partner does and he was so accommodating with our stay and very knowledgeable. We also needed help booking train tickets and also helped with that too. This place is awesome!
Staying in a sea view room overlooking the Harbor was truly a relaxing experience. The ocean view was beautiful, and being able to soak in both the hot and cold spring pools in the room while enjoying the scenery was the highlight of the stay. Even if you book a standard room, you can still go up to the rooftop to enjoy the view. However, the biggest disappointment was the brunch buffet. The selection was very limited compared to most luxury hotels, and it wasn’t even close to the variety you would find at the same hotel in Tainan. There were very few desserts, and surprisingly, no cakes at all. The only advantage was that brunch was served until 1:30 p.m., but with such limited food choices, the extended serving time didn’t add much value. The rooftop swimming pool is on the smaller side, but the scenery makes up for it. The hotel’s service was average and nothing particularly memorable.
We had a fantastic experience at the Lakeshore Hotel (despite the slightly typhoony weather). The facilities are very good, the hotel is modern and the staff were fantastic and friendly. Shuan / Shān, on the door, was truly great - he helped us get a taxi to the Kavalan Distillery, gave us recommendations for food and made sure that we made use of the complimentary beers and food in the evening. He really did make us feel incredibly welcome. The rooms are spacious, clean and the baths are brilliant. We had a good view of the town and surrounding hills. The bed was comfy and large and the rooms were well insulated. The in-room hot/cold spring baths really were a highlight. The orange (iron rich) water may be slightly alarming to some people at first but it was great and a brilliant way to spend a rainy morning and evening. Breakfast was filling, with a nice mix of food and some dishes local to the area. Su'ao is a small town but it's well served by public transport. it is easy to get to Yilan, Taipei or down along the east coast with fairly regular trains from Su'ao station and more frequent service from Suaoxin (which is a 5 minute taxi). Even though it is small there is a still a fair amount to do with some good hiking, other thermal spas and a fair number of food places. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We had the best family trip staying here! The location is so convenient for exploring downtown, hitting the trails, or catching a train. What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. They are so friendly and actually remembered us throughout our stay. A huge shoutout to 俊昇 for his incredible hospitality—he even helped us with parking by offering his own spot! During our group hike, the terrain was a bit tough and the mosquitoes were out, but 俊昇 went above and beyond by using an umbrella to keep the bugs away from us. He was so sweet, constantly checking if we needed water and making sure everyone felt safe. We felt so well taken care of!
