We were very happy with the social hour, it was just nice to spend time in the garden with beautiful wine and food and we got to mingle with other guests for a bit. Such s great touch to our stay. The room was super clean and cozy but honestly didn’t match the price point. Nice location, all within walking distance to the shopping area and lots of other food and coffee spots.

This is a small hotel located in downtown Taipei, and it has the signature Kimpton boutique style. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the lobby was how cool it was. The air conditioning was set very low, and it reminded me of hotels in Bangkok. For many travelers, especially during the summer, this may be a welcome feature. However, when I entered my room, I ended up turning off the air conditioning because it was a little too cold for my liking. One issue during my stay was that the washlet in the bathroom was not working, which was a bit disappointing. As an IHG Diamond member, I chose the complimentary breakfast benefit. Breakfast is served à la carte rather than as a buffet. The food quality was good, and the dishes were well prepared. However, portion sizes vary depending on what you order. Some dishes are filling, while others are relatively small, so guests with a larger appetite may find themselves wanting to order more. Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a convenient downtown location. While the hotel has a pleasant boutique atmosphere and a good breakfast, there are a few areas that could be improved. I think it’s a solid option if you prefer a smaller hotel, but it didn’t stand out enough to become my first choice for a future visit.
Overall, our stay was pleasant. The hotel staff who greeted us and guided us to our room was friendly and helpful (Hunter), and we thoroughly enjoyed our room. However, the dining staff seemed a bit under-trained. We waited for a while to be greeted, even though the dining area was not busy at the time. Additionally, the bread server couldn’t answer our questions about the bread promptly. Also it was challenging to get a staff member to assist us. On the positive side, the food we ordered to our room was delicious, but the breakfast was not as impressive. A small improvement could also be made is that in our room the bathroom has an open plan that connects directly to the bed area. So it's noisy during the night if someone is using the bathroom. Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful time during our first family staycation with our newborn baby.
This is a very nice and cozy hotel in the center of the old city. It is well located. There are supermarkets and markets nearby. You can get there in 15 minutes on foot. Inside the hotel there is a gym on the 12th floor. I really liked the restaurant. It is very welcoming. I really liked the architecture of the hotel. The design of the rooms is very restrained. I am Moskal in Japanese style, but everything you need is there. The bathrooms are very original. I will gladly stay at this hotel next time. Thank you.
My stay at Kimpton was truly exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. Absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, modern and clean (and feature in room water filling stations!) and housekeeping does an impeccable job. The location is central but remains quiet despite busy area around. The staff were attentive and did a great job of anticipating my needs. Stay was nothing short of exceptional, hospitality was beyond five-star.
