Jasper Young Hotel Banqiao

Great rooms, best convenience provided for all. However only to feedback the washroom and toilets have bad ventilation if were to stay for the couple or standard room. Odours may stay in the room because without the ventilation fan. Other wise nothing much to complaint

📍Location: 5-10min walk to Banqiao yellow line. Seems walkable to Xinpu too, but I didn’t try. There’s also a bus stop on the opposite side of the road with buses going to Ximen and Beimen, which was my go-to option. 🏨 Hotel: room was bigger compared to similar priced room in Taipei, looks new and well maintained. Stayed in 2 different rooms as I extended my stay. The toilet was separate from shower, which may not appeal to all. The twin room’s toilet door was not full length (there’s space at the bottom and on top, like public stall) so it’s not sound and smell proof. The hot spring facility was a nice bonus, though it’s closed during afternoon. 🍜Food: lots of options. Louisa coffee right at first floor, Michelin awarded Double Moon behind it, and a handful of local breakfast shops and cafes further back. Overall, Banqiao as a location is a little less convenient than Taipei station, but the room is nice and bigger, and there’s still HSR station if you’re travelling to other cities.

Decent location, but terrible service, avoid at all costs. Paid for late checkout, and cleaning still occurred during this period. Furthermore, was charged an extra hour for 240 seconds time down the elevator. Tried the massage as well - overpriced and unpleasant. Stressful, as the price advertised is incorrect and they increase on the spot for no reason. Very unprofessional. Needs better management.

Everything was perfect, except that they charged us $200 NTD to replace a single room card at checkout. For a wonderful hotel like Jasper Young, that was not expected. Most places don't even require guests to return the card, or just they have have drop off box available. Room card aside, the hotel was perfect. It is located at a comfortable walking distance from two different stations. Bed, pillows, and blanket was clean (coming from someone with allergies) and I woke up refreshed each morning. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.
