I Leisure Il Bnb

First time to Galena and we chose the Le Fevre inn & resort. It was perfect, we love the countryside and it met all our expectations with a gorgeous view all day. The owner was very nice and the grounds were kept beautifully. This was perfect for a quick get away. I wish we could have stayed longer because 2 days just wasn't enough. We will definitely be back!

We had our wedding at Le Fevre this past weekend and it was everything we had dreamed of & more! Ramona was very responsive and accommodating leading up to our stay, and made sure our guests were well taken care of throughout check-in. Our friends & family were able to stay onsite for the full wedding weekend and the resort had the perfect accommodations for every pre-wedding, wedding, AND post-wedding festivity. We were blessed with multiple gorgeous sunsets, and everyone could not believe the stunning views throughout the grounds. To top it off, Alfredo and his team went above and beyond to take care of us from check-in to check-out. We seriously could not have picked a better place to host such a special weekend. Thank you, Le Fevre!

I cannot say enough good things about Le Fevre Inn. Not only was it quiet, quaint, and welcoming, the staff were amazing. The wood burning fire place was PERFECT for our stay, especially as the temps were below 0. The bed was comfortable and the huge jetted tub was fantastic. The view was incredible and i wish it had been warm enough outside to enjoy it more. Due to the intense cold, our vehicle wouldn't start when we went to check out. After helping us try to jump start it with no luck, Alfredo at the front desk drove my husband to the store to get a new battery and allowed me to stay in the room until they returned. Talk about service! We were so grateful for his kindness. We will absolutely come back and tell our friends and family about our great experience!

So disappointed! This used to be our favorite place to stay. We even had our wedding here in 2024. There were some hiccups with that due to the owner double booking us with another couple. But we continued to come back. Unfortunately it has not kept up with the times. The WiFi is spotty and the TV’s are not smart tvs. They have DVD players but ours did not work. The carpet is old and dingy and there were black marks all over the walls of our room. Our fireplace was a smokey mess and the worst part of all was the cheap perfume smell from the towels and bedding. They never used to use any type of fragrances or anything for their linens and towels. I broke out in hives all over the first night and ended up sleeping on the couch with a blanket I had in our car. We were here for 2 nights so we had to take time out of our trip to go the local Walmart and buy sheets to put on the bed for the second night. I would have called to ask about alternative bedding but when we had first arrived, I had called to notify about a lightbulb out in our room (the room is terribly lit, can hardly see) and the owner seemed annoyed at my request for a new lightbulb. We loved coming here because we could bring our dog and walk the ground and enjoy the views. Lots of great places to stay in Galena. We will find alternative lodging next time.
