Good location in Taipei. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean but a bit small. Breakfast is very Asian/Japanese. Not many western alternatives.

The staff was very helpful, especially after the first night when I saw that the room was not cleaned up. They also noticed that my shower room was not clean from the beginning, with allergic elements between the marble tiles on the walls and realized there was a mistake and re-booked me to a cleaner room. The one unfortunate part was when I was checking out to leave for the airport, the staff told me to wait for a bus, which turned out the bus was not running that particular day. I nearly missed my bus ride if it were not for another staff, who drove me to the nearest train station. I hope this part gets worked out so it won't create a huge misunderstanding.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and on the third day, we found a cockroach in the room. The hotel’s only solution was to offer a room change, which is completely unacceptable. Cockroaches don’t stay confined to one room—they indicate a broader hygiene and infestation issue throughout the property. What was even more disappointing was the staff’s response. They handled the complaint as if it were a known and routine problem, showing little sincerity or urgency in addressing the situation. We requested a refund for the third night due to the unacceptable conditions, but the hotel only offered a minimal partial refund. This was a deeply unpleasant and frustrating experience. I strongly advise others to avoid staying at this hotel.
The sound insulation at this hotel is terrible. The windows are not double glazed so you hear a lot of the loud road traffic late into the night, and the walls and ceilings don’t block out sounds from neighbours next door and above. We could very clearly hear the sound of heavy footsteps and people moving things around from above, and even our neighbour next door coughing. If you want a restful trip, then I suggest staying somewhere else. Despite having to move room in the middle of the night to a twin room rather than a double room (I was on holiday with my partner), they still insisted on charging us the full rate for our 3 nights stay. They also sent a very junior member of staff to handle the situation, instead of the duty manager, which shows they don’t really care. Would not recommend this hotel.
The room was spacious, and the staff were very friendly. The moment we got off the car at the hotel entrance, an employee immediately came over to help us with our luggage, which was a great first impression. However, the soundproofing could be better — we could hear people talking while walking in the corridor. One of the outlets in the room also wasn’t working. We stayed for two nights, and I expected the housekeeping team to automatically refill the shower gel after cleaning the room. But when we returned, the shower gel was still empty, so we had to call the front desk. The staff arrived within a few minutes to refill it, which we appreciated. Overall, friendly service and comfortable stay
