I booked the hotel 1 week in advanced, then I keep on asking whether they have halal meal through booking platform app, but hotel did not provide any feedback at all. Then when I cancel 1 day before check in after not hearing from hotel, they insisted on keeping 50% of the room charge eventhough it is still not yet checked in day. For a claimed 5 star hotel, you should be responsive. I stayed in Amba hotel in Ximending, they responded to any queries within 1 hour, but this hotel left you without any response for 1 week!
We stayed for one night during our long layover. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport in a smaller part of town. The hotel is a bit dark and dingy. It is aging gracefully I guess. Room is spacious but the carpet is somewhat yucky. Across from hotel is a park, good for walking around. Less than 10 minutes walk is the night market. It has a lot of just games stalls. 15 minutes from a small mall with food options. Overall, it is not a bad hotel to stay for a night.
Great little hotel. It's clean and comfortable. The service is good and friendly. The buffet breakfast is decent for the price which comes to about $12 USD. They have a Starbucks in the lobby with great local pastries and decent coffee. Their pool is great, and they have a decent fitness room and a steam and dry sauna. They also give you free bottles of water! I would stay here again. My room with a extra big king size bed and 355 sq ft room was $300 for 6 nights and 7 days.
Good experience overall. 10min walk distance from the MRT station which is convenient. The park and the nature paths nearby were great spots to get a morning run in and close proximity to FamilyMart and other 24/7 stores was greatly helpful. Staff were quick to assist and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
