I rarely leave negative reviews, but my check-in experience at **Hyatt EPISODE Hsinchu** on **July 31** was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff simply handed me my room key without explaining anything. There was no information about where my room was, which elevator to take, where breakfast was served, where the lounge was located, or how to use the parking QR code. As a first-time guest, I had to figure everything out myself. What bothered me even more was when I asked if it would be possible to check out earlier than my original reservation. The receptionist just stayed silent for several seconds and completely ignored my question. I wasn't sure if she didn't understand me or simply chose not to answer. Either way, it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I've stayed at many Hyatt hotels, and I've always expected a warm welcome and at least a brief introduction to the hotel's facilities. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst check-in experiences I've had at any Hyatt property. Hospitality starts at the front desk. I hope management provides better training so future guests receive the level of service that the Hyatt brand is known for.
若以五星飯店收費標準,不建議入住 以政府規範合理自身設備及服務品質低落 I checked in to Episode Hsinchu today and will be staying for two nights. This is my second time staying with you, and Episode has always been my first choice when I visit Hsinchu. However, I have to say that my experience this time has been very disappointing. I understand that you need to follow the government’s policy, so bottled water is no longer provided. However, the service experience in Hsinchu is very different from what I’ve experienced in Taipei. At other hotels, housekeeping usually delivers two bottles of water to the room after check-in. But this time, there was no drinking water in my room. When I asked about it, I was told to take a bottle to the water dispenser near the elevator and fill it myself. There were also only two coffee capsules in the room, but no tea bags. I was honestly quite surprised by this, as the overall service felt incomplete, especially considering that your room rates are not exactly inexpensive. The second thing that surprised me was that there was no Type-C charging port in the room. Type-C has been around for years and is now widely used for all kinds of devices. I would have expected a modern hotel to have this basic convenience available for guests. I’ve stayed at Episode before and have always considered it my first choice in Hsinchu. Unfortunately, this experience has made me seriously reconsider that. I’m afraid that with this level of incomplete service and outdated room facilities, Episode may no longer be on my preferred list. I hope you will take my feedback seriously and review these issues, as I believe these details have a real impact on the overall guest experience.
Room nicely appointed, but a little moldy & the shower door leaks onto the bathroom floor. The room wi-fi stopped working regularly, had to use unsecured hotels wide wi-fi. Air-conditioning broke and I was repeatedly told "it would be fixed tomorrow" untill eventually they admitted they weren't sure when it would be fixed. Poor accommodations for food allergies.
Had a good stay at Episode Hotel Hsinchu. The room was clean, spacious, and had a modern, contemporary design. The bed was comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day. The heated toilet seat was a nice touch, and the TV was excellent, with AirPlay, YouTube, and Netflix available for guests to use. The staff were friendly, hospitable, and helpful throughout my stay. I also enjoyed the pool table in the communal area, which was a nice feature. Another nice touch was the complimentary soft drinks and coffee available in the lobby throughout the day. My main criticism is the bathroom layout. The toilet is on display within the room and would be much better if it were enclosed in a separate cubicle for added privacy. The breakfast was also a little disappointing, with limited choice compared to other hotels in this category. No live kitchen. But they did make an omelette on request. One tip for future guests: avoid Room 911 if possible. It is directly below the gym on the 10th floor, and during my stay I could hear gym users dropping weights, which created quite a disturbing noise and became annoying at times. Overall, a pleasant stay with comfortable rooms, good facilities, and welcoming staff. I would happily stay here again, although I would request a room away from the gym next time.
