Basic hotel. Restaurant with breakfast is free that’s about the only good thing you can say about it because the food is rubbish it’s like they used left overs can’t even run the coffee machine correctly or have the basics like a egg every day same issue. Would recommend eating out and grabbing a coffee across the road instead

There were stains in the bedsheet and the extra pillows in our room. We even found a centipede crawling under one of our beds during the last night of our stay. This is not acceptable and I do not recommend. Please clean your room thoroughly.
Stayed at the Songshan location after visiting their Nanjing hotel last year. A bit of a downgrade, but price was fair. Pros: Location is excellent—minutes to MRT Blue Line, 15 mins to Green Line. There lot of food and convenience stores nearby. Night market about 15 mins away. Cons: Room is small (we had 4 large suitcases + 2 carry-ons). Toilet made a loud noise for 5–10 mins after flushing; staff said it's a known issue and to close the door to reduce the amount of noise. Soundproofing between rooms is weak—could hear neighbors talking, TV, even plugs being plugged into electrical outlet. Street noise was fine though. No common area to sit with friends if you buy food to bring to the hotel. A water dispenser on each floor would be a nice addition. Decent budget option if location is your priority.
Really great hotel, conveniently located on the blue line MRT. Just steps from the Houshanpi station exit. The rooms were very nice and clean. The cleaning staff was really on top of things. A very nice breakfast was included with the very reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again.
The overall experience of our stay was decent. The hotel provided free breakfast vouchers for the restaurant attached to it, as well as free luggage storage. The breakfast was buffet-style, with a decent variety of food ranging from western (English baked beans, salad, toast, etc.) to eastern options (tteokbokki, steamed egg, minced pork rice, etc.), along with a good selection of beverages. There are also quite a few breakfast options near the hotel, so we only ate the hotel breakfast once. Houshanpi MRT Station was only about a 1-minute walk away. It took us around 20 minutes to reach Taipei Main Station or major attraction areas like Ximending, and about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Taoyuan International Airport. The room looked pretty much like the pictures on the website, with two exceptions: the carpet in our room was quite stained and dirty, and the room was not as spacious as pictured. This was not mentioned in the reviews, but one big disappointment was that the rooms are *not soundproof*. During the night, we could quite clearly hear our neighbor’s TV and conversations. The hotel is generally quiet since it is in a residential area, but your sleep quality really depends on your neighbors’ noise level. We chose a hotel outside the Taipei Main Station area hoping for a quiet room, so the lack of soundproofing was a letdown-- though this may be a common issue among hotels. Overall, staff members were friendly and accommodating, facilities were relatively new, the location was decent, breakfast was tasty, and the room was not soundproof.
