DO NOT consider having a western style of wedding at this hotel. The staff is only familiar with the traditional Taiwanese banquet style of weddings, they have 0 knowledge of western style weddings, including the hotel’s wedding planning partner. The sales Jessica was a huge disappointment too, she’s not helpful from the beginning til the end. Very disappointing. Will never ever recommend anyone to have a western style of wedding here.
Looking out through the hotel’s architectural framing, there’s a nice direct view toward the bridge. The weather is clear and bright today. With surprisingly few people around, the large open spaces feel calm and relaxed — almost more like a quiet resort than a busy weekend hotel.
I had a wonderful stay at Golden Tulip FB Hotel in Tamsui. The views from the room were truly awesome — spacious windows that looked out over the area and made mornings and evenings especially enjoyable. The service throughout my stay was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience smooth and comfortable. As a bonus, there is a nearby Halal restaurant, and I was able to easily order food through Uber Eats whenever I preferred to eat in the room. It was very convenient and appreciated. Overall, a highly recommended hotel if you’re looking for a pleasant stay in Tamsui with great views and solid service. I would gladly stay here again.
Expect more from such an expensive 5 star hotel. The cold faces and unfriendly service of the lobby employees is very disappointing. They require a firm re-education on how to provide warm and welcoming service to hotel guests. Another detail I would like to mention is: 4 pm checkin is a rip off and unfair. Also this must be the only hotel restaurant in the world that doesn't have salt and pepper anywhere available.
The Hotel truly impressed with their professionalism and care. My daughter sustained a deep cut to her temple area during our stay there, and naturally we panicked. Thankfully, we booked this hotel - it only took a quick call for them to send someone up promptly to help clean and bandage the wound, and also help call a cab to send us to the nearby hospital (just 15 mins away). We felt so well taken care of in a time of need. The hotel location was great too - it overlooks the danshui river, there was a huge beautiful green space adjoining the hotel for young kids to play in, and is an enjoyable stroll along the danshui river to danshui old street. The breakfast offerings were tasty and healthy, with kids-friendly options. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay for family with young kids!
