positive part : the room is good and smartly set. the design is pleasant. I like the multimedia connectors with the TV. bed is comfortable too. it looks clean. but... less positive part : don't expect a smile... at the counter. don't expect attention to details... at the check in... and you will be ok. I will put this poor check-in experience on the lack of english speaking staff... or/and on the lack of experience with international guests. FYI : one eye contact acknowledgement, one smile and .... most of all, react when someone is presenting a passport in front is just basic common sense. even my colleague couldn't understand why I was been ignored so rudely. hopefully, your employee is under training or is a new recruit. even the introduction to the breakfast was rude... almost implying that it is too expensive for me. maybe nowadays, check-in staff don't have a commercial sense anymore. I regularly come back to Hsinchu. hopefully, I will be welcomed better next time... might i book this hotel again... and update my appreciation about the staff.

The room was a sweat box with no working AC or WiFi. We made the mistake of giving them the benefit of the doubt that the AC just took a while (because they asked us to). Which is why we discovered at 8 PM that the room was STILL a sweat box. With a toddler already dangerously close to heatstroke from un-acclimated weather, this was unacceptable. (And yes, the WiFi was still out.) In our way down to leave the hotel to find somewhere else to stay. The elevator nearly took my head off. It was only then that the woman at the front desk saw fit to tell us it was being used but basically out of order. They let me take my baby on a death trap four times before telling me it may not be safe and there were elevators on the other side of the building we should use. After all that, they refused to refund any part of our supposed to be five day stay.
They don't have a gym. They just have 2 treadmill and a cycle When asked for water, they asked me to pickit up from gym instead of sending water bottles to the room bad service - not trained to be considered a 4 star hotel! Edited after seeing reply from the Hotel team: I am glad to see a reply where they have come up openly accepting the situation. Thank you for taking my comments as constructive feedback
Booked a quadtriple room for 4 nights. Room: The hotel is a non-smoking hotel but when we checked in, the room had a strong smell of smoke. We feedback to the front desk and they came up to check and promptly change a room for us. The room was big enough for all 3 adults to open 3 medium size luggage comfortably and still had enough space to walk around. The room had 2 queen size beds and four pillows on each bed. There are no 🔌sockets or bedside tables next to the beds, and the only place to charge all our devices was the charging table desk to the study desk (see pic). It was not convenient for 3 people to share, but it helped us not use our phones in bed before we slept 😅. But for anyone who needs to use the CPAP machine, it may not be convenient. The toilet is of a good and they put in an additional metal hook on glass shower door for us to hang more towels. The hotel does not have a self-service laundry room but they have laundry service. Location: The hotel was about 700m from the Hsinchu Train Station, and it was easy to walk there even with luggage. There are 3 convenient stores around the hotel and also a soybean milk shop (永和豆浆). Big city which is a big shopping mall (with shops like nitori, uniqlo, daiso and city super). Breakfast: The buffet breakfast was good especially the beef soup where you can put in beef slices and pour hot soup over it to cook the meat. Asahi beer on tap is also served during breakfast. There is a good mix of Taiwanese breakfast and western breakfast. All in all, the experience of staying in the hotel is good!
Great hospitality and service. The shower head was not working in our room and they offered us another room. As we had settle down in our room, the hotel staff immediately came up and gave us another room on the same level to shower. Impressive.
