I am having a wonderful stay at Hotel Éclat Taipei and would happily choose this hotel again on my next visit to Taiwan. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The reception was, AND STILL IS, warm and attentive, my room was already prepared, and I was even offered a complimentary coffee, which was a lovely gesture after my journey. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciate how comfortable and safe I feel here. The room is absolutely beautiful, very clean, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail reflects the hotel’s artistic character — from the unique decorations to the beautifully designed clock. There is plenty of storage space, a convenient area to keep my suitcase out of sight, a large desk, an oversized TV, a beautiful mirror, and a spotless bathroom. The service is truly exceptional. The housekeeping team is reliable, friendly, and keeps my room perfectly clean every day. The reception staff are always approachable, professional, and ready to assist. When a neighboring room was playing the TV very loudly at 6 a.m., I contacted reception, and within just five minutes someone came upstairs and the issue was immediately resolved, allowing me to continue sleeping comfortably. Whenever I need something, such as an iron and ironing board, it is brought to my room within minutes. As a vegan traveler, I am especially happy and impressed that the hotel provides vegan toiletries, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and hand wash. This thoughtful detail made me feel truly considered as a guest. I also highly appreciate the hotel’s commitment to environmental responsibility. It is wonderful to see that sustainability is taken seriously here, for example by only changing bed linen and blankets when guests specifically request it with the provided sign. These small but meaningful actions show genuine care for the environment. I also really appreciate the complimentary amenities, including fresh bottles of water every day as well as soft drinks provided in the room. These thoughtful touches make the stay even more enjoyable. Hotel Éclat Taipei is a true combination of outstanding service, artistic beauty, sustainability, and genuine hospitality. Staying here is a wonderful experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. If I return to Taiwan, this will definitely be my first choice again.

I recently stayed at Hotel Éclat Taipei and found the experience to be below expectations for a luxury hotel. The room felt dated, with the furniture and TV showing their age. The shower tap was also old and kept getting stuck, making it inconvenient to use. The biggest disappointment was on my last day of stay. The air conditioning stopped working at around 3:00 AM and remained broken until I checked out at 11:00 AM.(it remain 29 degree from 6am onwards) Despite several hours passing, the issue had still not been resolved, which made for a very uncomfortable final night and morning. The location was also less convenient than I had expected, with limited nearby shopping and dining options compared to other areas in Taipei. Overall, while the hotel has a unique design and the staff were courteous, the outdated facilities, unresolved air-conditioning issue, and less-than-ideal location mean I would not choose to stay here again.
I stayed for 9 nights. I had planned on 4, then moving on, but the hotel was just right. The staff are superb - helpful, kind, hard working and delightful. I loved the coffee machine in the room, the location, the comfortable bed and the perfect pillows.
We stayed at Hotel Éclat Taipei as a couple for two nights in a Deluxe Double Room. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and did not meet the standard I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Our first room, Room 807, had an issue with the air-conditioning system repeatedly turning off and on every few minutes, creating a loud ticking sound each time. When I contacted the front desk, the initial response was that the air-conditioning can be noisy in this hotel, before the staff member had properly understood the issue. I explained that the normal air-conditioning sound was not the issue — it was the repeated switching on and off. A staff member came to inspect the room and agreed there was a problem, but after almost an hour without an update, I had to call reception again. The response felt abrupt, and the whole process was more troublesome than it should have been. We were eventually moved to another room. The second room, Room 206, had a different problem. The shower drain did not drain properly, so every time we showered, water overflowed out of the shower area, across the bathroom, and even into the room. By that point, we were too tired to raise another issue and potentially move rooms again, so we tolerated it. The room also felt poorly maintained and not thoroughly cleaned. The shower fixture was visibly broken, and there were stray hairs on the room table when we checked in. Overall, the staff at check-in and during the stay did not feel especially warm or welcoming, and the room quality was far below expectation for the price. Given the maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and service experience, the hotel felt overpriced and not worthy of its 5-star positioning. I would not recommend staying here.
We stayed 5 nights at Eclat, and though the hotel is dated and wifi was spotty especially at night, we had a nice stay overall. It’s very centrally located and what really stood out was the excellent and warm service of Leo and Purple who worked in the lobby lounge at breakfast and lunch/ evenings, respectively. They were so hospitable and helpful with our whole family.
