Outstanding stay! Mr. Doohan was exceptionally helpful and took the time to show me around the hotel. I was also pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and professional, and everything was handled with great attention to detail. Highly recommended, and I would gladly stay here again."

5 stars to the concierge team, we stayed for about a month with a dog, and they did their best to accommodate us by scheduling room cleanings and almost all of them were so friendly to our dog! They did not really do much for our high status at check-in, I guess because we stayed with a dog and our long overlapping stay with SEMICON, but they could have communicated better why we did not get an upgrade. They did not even acknowledge the status like they usually say “thanks for being an x member”. But aside from that, the front desk staff was quick and helpful. Water pressure in the shower was very weak. I heard other rooms had better pressure. But the room was spacious enough not to feel cramped for a month. Gym was mid-size but more importantly had water. Exec lounge was convenient to eat because it was hard eating out and in the room with the dog. Breakfast buffet was standard for a Marriott (good for a Courtyard).
For a Marriott-brand hotel charging over NT$17,000 for a two-night stay, I expected better priorities. I never requested a late check-out, yet I was repeatedly reminded about the 11:00 a.m. departure time. Meanwhile, the hotel saw no issue carrying out repair work in my room after I had already checked in. Perhaps guest comfort should come before repeatedly emphasizing guest obligations. Finally, my sincere thanks to the frontline staff. At nearly 10:00 p.m., you handled the situation professionally and apologized over and over for something that was clearly beyond your control. This wasn’t your mistake—it was a management issue. Thank you for doing your best.
Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Nangang Review Recently stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Nangang during my Taiwan trip. I paid around $280-$300 per night 📍 The biggest plus point is definitely the location. The hotel is located within CityLink Mall, with plenty of food, shopping and convenience stores nearby. There’s also a direct lift to Don Don Donki, making it very convenient if you need snacks or want to do some shopping. 🚆 It’s also connected to Nangang MRT Station, TRA and HSR, making it easy to get around Taipei or travel to other cities. 🛏️ The room was spacious and comfortable, but one thing I didn’t really like was that the room lighting was quite dim, especially at night. Personally, I prefer brighter rooms. 🍳 Breakfast Review I didn’t add breakfast when booking my room. The hotel charges around NT$840 per person if you purchase it directly. I managed to get a breakfast deal on trip.com_sg for only S$23+, so I decided to give it a try. Personally, I found the food selection and taste to be just so-so. For the price charged by the hotel, I don’t think it’s worth it. There are plenty of food options in CityLink Mall. ⚠️ One thing to note: while the hotel is located within CityLink Mall, there isn’t a direct lift from the mall to the hotel rooms. You’ll need to take the lift to level 7 the hotel lobby first before changing to another lift to access the guest room floors. Overall, it’s a great choice with great service Thank you for the wonderful stay ✨ Booking through Agoda? Key in my promo code LOBANGQUEEN to enjoy up to 10% off IG:Lobangqueen_sg
Had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Taipei. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and very conveniently located, especially with direct access to transportation and nearby shops. The location was one of the best parts — it is directly connected to a mall, and just below the building are train stations, making it extremely convenient to get around the city. It was also very easy to book Uber rides from the area whenever needed. Our room was superb and had a beautiful view of the city, which made the stay even more enjoyable. What really made the experience stand out was the staff — everyone was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to commend Yoshi, who went above and beyond to assist us and made our trip even more enjoyable. Their housekeeping team was also very swift and efficient in cleaning the room each day, which we really appreciated. It was also a huge plus that many of the staff spoke English well, making communication easy and comfortable for international guests. The team was always ready to provide additional assistance as well — from helping us contact a van rental service, explaining how to use the MRT and THSR, and even giving map guidance and directions to different places around Taipei. The only area we felt could be improved was the breakfast buffet selection, as it felt quite repetitive during our stay and had fewer continental options than we expected. Overall, we had a great experience and would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Taipei.
