The staff were friendly and kind, but unfortunately, there were several serious issues. There was mold on the walls in our room, which appeared to have been covered up with paint. Sleeping in a room with visible mold does not feel healthy or safe. There was also a very strong sulfur smell throughout the hotel, including in the water in the showers. The smell was extremely unpleasant and concerning. My husband’s wedding ring even became discolored because of it. The hotel itself is also quite outdated and clearly in need of renovation. We honestly have to ask: why is this a 4-star hotel? In our opinion, it does not deserve a 4-star rating in its current condition. The friendly staff were a positive aspect, but the mold, strong sulfur smell, and overall state of the hotel made our stay far from pleasant.

My family stayed overnight in this hotel and the overall experience was not nice at all. We arrived 3hrs earlier than the 4PM check-in time. One of the receptionists processed our check-in and told to wait until 3-4PM before our room is ready. That's totally fine and we are very much willing to wait. We seated on one of those available coffee tables, since all the seats at the waiting area has been occupied by someone else's belongings (luggages not people). We then ordered a cup off coffee, however, the barista told us that we must order for every person to be able to use the table. So we decided not to order and asked the receptionist where can we seat while waiting, since the tiny waiting area is already full? This is when the bad experience started to unfold. She told us that we can go out and return at 3PM or we can use the coffee tables. 😀 Apparently, the Barista didn't realize that we are hotel guests. She didn't ask, but mind you, both her and the receptionist are together in a small place that either of them can see what is happening on the other side of the table. We we're able to order one in the end. Then came past 3PM, so we asked if there is already room available. This time, there's a different receptionist at the station. She again asked for ID and reprocessed the check-in. I told her that the other lady already did. All that I understand from her is telling us to wait (in Mandarin) and she kept on saying it which was rude (at least in my opinion). She also kept on speaking Mandarin while asking to fill up the form. The hotel's website, where I booked directly, says transactions can be done in Chinese or English. I didn't hear any English word from her. Finally, inside the room, which looks really outdated as other commenters already said. Rusty metal, stains on the curtains, uncleaned smudges that are very visible on the glass panels, air conditioner not working (unable to cool the room).... They have 4-5hrs to prepare the room for the next guest but still... Supper and breakfast was uneventful, food was great especially for the supper. 👍 Monday morning, we waited for the outdoor swimming pool to open, but the receptionist said it's closed the whole morning on Mondays... I didn't see that there was something telling such thing while booking on their website. But that's my fault because I didn't really check or inquire about it. If you visit there and plan to use the pool on Monday morning, be warned. You can check out and still be able to use the pool in the afternoon. But, i don't think it's always a good option. 😀 It was the bad service that really made our stay unpleasant. I hope they will improve in that aspect.
This is a good hotel if you plan on doing different sections of Yangmingshan national park and the Beitou district as it's close to these spots. There are regular buses that go from here. The hotel is kind of old but decently maintained. We in the deluxe room with the attached hot spring bath that has a good view of the mountains. The dining area is large and over looks the pool area. The hotel has a separate male and female onsen. There are no elevators at this property. The staff are very helpful.
We went there for the swimming pool and hot springs. Very disappointing experience. The facilities are extremely outdated and poorly maintained — peeling ceiling plaster, broken and smelly lockers, leaking water dispenser. For 1000 NTD, this is unacceptable. I would not recommend it if you care about cleanliness and a pleasant environment.
Extremely bad experience, this hotel should have been renovated a decade ago, the rooms are in bad shape, mould in the bathroom, the ceiling is peeling off in the hot spring facilities, the breakfast is disgusting, nothing fresh, all supposedly warm dishes are cold and of poor quality. Torn towels and bathrobes, stained carpet floors. Staff speaks no English and is not very helpful. But the worst part is the awful smell, coming form the bathrooms of sulfur and foul eggs, we would never stay here again.
