Per other reviews, did not receive any instructions for checking in after-hours (>6:30pm). Since its on 2nd floor of a shoplot, was confused on how to get on as the lift operates on PIN. Luckily I bought a Taiwan number to call the CS. Really small room, space between door and bed is just enough for 1 person to stand Self check-in on the 6F lobby - 2nd night the lock was not working, had to press really hard for the PIN - bad soundproof but it's fine since we're not really in the room

A very average hotel with an unrefined check in process. I booked on Agoda and felt assured that it was 24 hour check in. Unfortunately I think they forgot to send me the message regarding the elevators and how they would require a key code to get upto self check in. At 2 am, I wasstuck not having a local number and was unable to call their emergency line for help. Thankfully someone nearby helped me out. Rooms were very small and toilet paper can't be flushed down the toilet probably due to old plumbing and sewage. It was relatively clean though, so that was at least nice.
Average hotel at best. Communication was not well done, unable to leave luggage until check-in even though written confirmation said otherwise, no attendant at desk ever, front door not obvious, self check-in machine randomly does weird things. Room was ok, tiny, but clean and functional. Booking cancelled at 11am on day of arrival, but to their credit they gave me another room, thankfully. I'm unlikely to stay again, it's too below par for my liking.
2.5h before I arrived, I sent a Line message asking if there is anyone at the check in counter. The reply was a copy and paste answer. Then I asked if there is anyone to scan the accommodation vouchers from the Taiwanese Tourism Board for payment. The reply was "Hello, no one is using it yet." I did not get the answer to my question. I arrived at 2pm, one hour before the usual check in time of 3pm. The counter staff kept telling me if I check in early, there is an additional $300 charge. I wanted to use the accommodation vouchers from the Taiwanese Tourism Board. But there was a problem in the system and the vouchers could not be accepted although the counter staff keyed in 5 times. She told me there was an error with the vouchers and if they cannot be used, I would need to pay out of pocket. She initially told me to call the Tourism board. I told her I do not have a land line and to check with herself since they are the service staff. In fact, the previous hotel I stayed in was able to use the vouchers and even refunded me my deposit. She then said I could leave my luggage at the counter first, go outside for my activities, and she would call the Tourism Board later on. I refused as firstly, this counter staff would knock off at 6.30pm. Thereafter, there would be no one to assist me if I have problems with the vouchers, self check in machine for room card issue or anything else. Does this mean I will sleep on the roads if I cannot self check in for the room card when she has knocked off? They do not have 24h counter service and they do not reply Line messages immediately. Secondly, there was no guarantee if the vouchers could be used. If they cannot be used, I would immediately look for a hotel with better service outside. Of the many times I visited Taiwan, I have not encountered such a nasty check in experience. I also told the staff the same. I don't think she cares about throwing the Taiwanese face for bad service. I requested she call the Tourism Board on the spot so as to sort out any issues with me around. She tried but the Tourism Board said they were busy and for her to call back later. I wanted to leave my luggage in my room. She again told me there is an additional $300 charge if I check in early. I did tell her that she is too inflexible with the rules especially when the problem is not with me but with the vouchers system which she needs to sort out. She said there are only 2 staff, including her and if the other staff is still cleaning, she might get questioned why the guests checked in early. I informed that I would like to leave the luggage in the room and go out for my activities. She first suggested to leave the luggage behind the counter as there is security camera even if she has knocked off. After some chatting, she offered to put into my room afterwards so I did not need to wait for the cleaning to be done and official check in time of 3pm. She tried again to redeem the vouchers and finally they worked. To ensure I would be able to enter the room, I asked for the issuance of the room card first. However, I would not enter the room while it was still being cleaned. Then I could safely go out for my activities. She agreed and issued me the room card. After all the haggling, it was already 3pm and I was able to go into my room by then. To be fair to this staff, when I went downstairs, I had some problems with the security keypad beside the lift. The staff showed me I could use the room key to get the lift doors to open the lift doors. Overall, I find the quite service lacking. The counter staff is not service oriented. They seem like inexperienced youngsters running a hostel. The room is clean and has a nice decor but I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
Firstly the photos advertise is confusing. I booked a standard room and it was to small to fit two person so we decided to upgrade the room. Take note that the small room will not even allowed you to open to luggage bag due to the small space. After upgrading the rooms with an additional 25% pay hike. The room has no heated toilet bowl and there were many mosquitoes. Water shower head was damage and after making a complain the staff said that the new stock will not arrive so they cant change the shower head . On top of that water leak in our room and partial of the room was flooded. Staff only work till 6pm and you have to text them during the night. Sadly we only got a reply the next afternoon regarding our water issue while using the room towels to dry up the flooding issue. It was expensive and one of the worst hotel I ever stay. Staff also only change your towel and empty the rubbish bins. They will not make up your bed or room. On of the worst hotel experience. Location wise is average but again you can get BETTER hotel nearby.
