Please don’t book this hotel (I want it all to myself)** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am actively fighting the urge to gatekeep this absolute gem, but my conscience won't let me. Honestly, please don’t read this review—I need this place to stay completely empty and undiscovered for my next trip. But fine, if I *have* to share, here is why this was hands-down the most wonderful stay of my entire trip: The Location is Too Convenient: It’s dangerously easy to get around. It's near a 7-Eleven and the Little Arena, and the sheer number of incredible eateries right downstairs is a massive threat to my diet. The "Feel Good" Service: The staff here are incredibly warm and friendly. I genuinely loved just being in the hotel; the vibes are immaculate. The Standard Double Room: The room was fantastic, but the real star was the bathroom. It’s super spacious, and the bathtub was absolute heaven after a long day of walking. (Crucial pro-tip: Make sure to double-check if your specific room tier comes with a bathtub when booking!) Perfect Wind-Down Amenities: The TV actually supports Netflix and YouTube, so you can easily rot in bed with your favorite shows and takeout. Overall, a flawless 10/10. Just do me a favor and don't book it on the exact dates I want to go back!

During my stay at AR 3 Hotel, I found the location to be one of its biggest advantages. The hotel is very convenient for travelers, with many useful places within walking distance. There are convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and FamilyMart nearby, making it easy to buy drinks, snacks, and daily necessities anytime. Another great feature is that there is a market located behind the hotel, allowing guests to experience the local neighborhood atmosphere and explore Taiwanese food and daily life. For breakfast lovers, Miss Qin Soy Milk is only about a 3-minute walk away, which makes it very convenient to enjoy a traditional Taiwanese breakfast without traveling far. The surrounding area also has other useful shops, including Watsons and PX Mart, which are within walking distance. This makes it easy for tourists to purchase skincare products, souvenirs, snacks, drinks, and other essentials during their stay. One of the highlights of AR 3 Hotel is the complimentary drinks service. The hotel provides free-flow mineral water, Sprite, and iced lemon tea for guests, which is a thoughtful touch, especially after a long day of exploring Taipei. The hotel also offers a happy hour from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. During this period, guests can enjoy free cocktails along with snacks such as sandwiches and cakes. This is a very enjoyable benefit because travelers can relax at the hotel, enjoy some refreshments, and unwind after sightseeing. Overall, AR 3 Hotel is a comfortable and convenient choice for visitors to Taipei. Its excellent location near convenience stores, markets, breakfast shops, and shopping areas, combined with its complimentary drinks and happy hour service, makes the stay more enjoyable and memorable. It is a good option for travelers who value convenience, comfort, and extra hotel benefits.
Nice hotel in the Songshan district, just outside of the Taiwan Arena. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a nice bath and separate shower in our king size deluxe bedroom. There isn't much of a decent view from our room. Staff were nice, helpful and friendly. The hotel has different themes for their rooms. We chose this hotel as the location was perfect for us, where restaurants and shops were all within walking distance from the hotel. Buses and subway were all within short distances from the hotel too. The price was reasonable for the quality of the rooms. Would definitely look to stay at this hotel again.
Room: Pro – Very roomy. Large bench that fit multiple pieces of luggage. Large seating area, separate from the bench, that was great for eating and relaxing. Free water and sodas in the room daily. Bathroom has a bidet. Con – Lighting was too dark, which made it difficult to read and for the kids to play (they were assembling new toys). The bathroom was very open to the room since it's divided by a curtain rather than a wall. The shower appeared to have mold/mildew. Wi-fi was spotty and inconsistent. Location: Pro – Loved the morning outdoor market right outside, and it was close to different breakfast options. Con – A 10-minute walk to the subway, and we ended up walking a lot to get around since that one subway line wasn't always the right one. There weren't many restaurants around since it felt more like a residential neighborhood than a touristy area—though we preferred this 👌 Service: Pro – Umbrellas available from the doormen, but you may need to ask. Tea, coffee, and hot water (for cup noodles) available by reception, and they will hold luggage for you. Very clean restroom by reception. Con – Check-in was very late, at 4pm.
Quality Rooms, but Inflexible Operations I recently stayed here and found the experience to be a bit of a mixed bag. While the physical room was very nice, the hotel's rigid policies and lack of coordination regarding room assignments made the stay more complicated than expected. The "4-Hour" Cleaning Policy The hotel has a very strict 4:00 PM check-in and 12:00 PM check-out. They do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. We arrived at noon and made our request then, which meant the staff had a full four-hour window to coordinate. Despite this ample time to arrange room cleaning, they were unable to place our group on the same floor. Room Assignments & Group Travel We were told that because we requested a high floor, they couldn't guarantee when two rooms on the same level would be ready. It was disappointing that even with four hours of lead time, they couldn't manage the logistics to keep our group together. If you are traveling with friends, be prepared to be scattered across different floors. Summary: Who should stay here? Reconsider if: • You are staying for only one night: The limited window between 4 PM and noon makes the stay feel very rushed. • You are traveling with a group: The hotel seems to struggle with coordinating room locations, even when given several hours' notice. Recommended for: • Long-term travelers: If you are staying for several days or a week, the strict check-in/out times are less of an issue, and you can simply enjoy the quality of the room.
