Slow Town Hotel-konkai

I greatly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are cozy, and the pillows soft. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were the best among the hotels I stayed at during a two-week trip to Taiwan. I also had the best sleep my of trip here. I was able to keep the AC at 20 C (68 F) at night, and they also provided a large Dyson fan which added additional cooling plus some white noise which helped me sleep soundly. Everyone from house staff to the front desk were professional, accommodating, and most of all patient (English speaker). The location is only a few minutes away from Tainan station as well. I stayed for 3 nights, and I will most certainly book again should I return to Tainan. On a side note, the hotel entrance is located along an alley in which I only saw pedestrians or others on mopeds. I quickly learned that the charm of Tainan lies in exploring the interwoven alleyways and relishing in the discoveries along the way. This hotel exemplifies in my mind what makes Tainan special: an exceptional experience, neatly tucked away for travelers to discover.

Loved our stay here! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Also worked with us in some English (and phone translation) to help us with whatever we needed. Also provide maps of the area. :) Front desk staffed until 6:30pm, but will give a front-door pass to check-in by machine if coming back later than that.

Extremely good hotel, location is perfect, very clean, bathrooms are excellent as well. The receptionist Su Chunyi in particular was extremely understanding and was very patient with my very broken Chinese 😅

The hotel is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff were all very nice. We didn’t care for the bathroom/shower design. In our room (503) the position of the shower head on the wall makes it impossible to shower with the hose attached to the wall. The angle forces you to hold it while showering and the style of the shower head makes the water feel very sharp/painful on one’s skin. Had to use the shower at half or less than pressure which affected the temperature. Quite aggravating after a long day. Room also didn’t have a window. Overall, fine experience.
