Shangri-la's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful hospitality and excellent service we received during our stay. Every member of the team was kind, professional, and attentive, making our time here truly special, specially to the team at the Westin Club (Jane and rest of the Horizon Club team are the best!). Drinks were great. Food could be improved, as they do in Shangri-La Taipei. We felt special, and that is important for us. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for all the small details that made our visit unforgettable. We will cherish the memories and hope to return in the future

I recently traveled from India to Tainan on a business trip and stayed at Shangri-La for 15 days. The overall experience was excellent — the room, facilities, and food were all of high quality. I would especially like to thank the Indian chef, who went out of his way to explain the different breakfast options to me, volunteering his help without my asking. His guidance made me feel at home. The Indian dishes he prepared — including mutton, fish, chicken curry, roti, and uttapam — were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the mutton curry, which he thoughtfully customized to be spicier since he knew I preferred it that way. Special thanks to him for his kindness, attentiveness, and the effort he put into making my stay memorable.

The rooms were very luxury but it wasn’t the biggest. The swimming pool was gorgeous and I couldn’t stop swimming. The breakfast buffet wasn’t the best but It was fine. When I thought that my keycard didn’t work, the staff rushed over in less than 2 minutes and helped us open the door and gave us a new keycard.The location is great because it was right next to 7 eleven which was very convenient. This hotel is also quite close to some streets that have some delicious foods, and a shopping mall. Over all, I think that this hotel is a great one.

Possibly our favourite hotel throughout our 2-week trip across Taiwan. As usual, the Shangri-la brand lives up to its standards on our 2-night stay here. Being the tallest building in the city, we enjoyed great views from our room, including the sunset. The room was also spacious, well-equipped, and clean. I also liked that there were proper doors to the bathroom - something we did not get at many of the other hotels we stayed at during our holiday. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, and the experiences were positive. The pool was also relatively generously-sized compared with the other pools we encountered in Taiwan on the rest of our holiday. Importantly, the level of service also met Shangri-la's exemplary standards. If I were to find something to complain about, I did not like the carpark design and layout, but that was definitely not a deal-breaker for me.
