Only thing that made a good impression was the attitude of the staff, who were very friendly and warm. The location was decent, with a a shopping mall and convenience store within 5mins walk. Other than that, the experience was overall disappointing. Check-in time stated was at 3pm, but was told to wait till 6pm to check in. Staff mentioned that they had a full house, needed more time, but a 3 hour wait seems unreasonable, especially when I had booked the more expensive Lakeshore Suite. The only compensation that was offered was a slightly later checkout timing, but was not useful for me as I had planned to check out early, and the staff could not offer other alternatives. Even with the extended waiting time to check in, the room cleaning appeared to be a rush job, with questionable cleanliness throughout the room. As seen in the pictures, there were weird stains, a lot of dust, wires protruding and a stale, damp smell throughout the room. The wardrobe area was surprisingly big, but providing only 6 hangers (as seen in the pictures) was extremely disproportionate for the amount of space given. Most hotels provide basic cutlery, sometimes even a bottle opener. This room had only ONE plate. Just look at the picture. Imagine my surprise when I opened the drawer at the “pantry”, expecting some basic cutlery, but only saw just a single plate.

When you walk into the lobby it seems like a higher end hotel. But once you’re in the room you realise all the things they cheap out on. No robes or pyjamas. The slippers feel super thin and cheap. The towels also feel thin and cheap. No conditioner in the shower. I think this is the first hotel i’ve ever stayed in that doesnt provide shampoo AND conditioner. The walls are thin. Soundproofing is non existent. I can hear the people next door showering in the morning. Not to mention hallway and outside noise. Oh and if you want to swim in the pool you have to wear a cap. Never heard of this ridiculous rule anywhere else i’ve travelled. Rest of the room is basic. Ok. Nothing to write home about. We’ve stayed in 3 hotels in taiwan so far this trip and this one is the worst.
This four-star hotel features charming classical architecture, and the breakfast offers plenty of variety, though it lacks refinement. However, providing bath towels that feel like floor mats is simply unacceptable.
The friendly smiles from the lobby staff gave us an even better impression of the hotel. In addition, the room was very clean and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We’re so glad that we made the right choice in choosing this hotel. It definitely added a wonderful touch to our trip and made our stay even more enjoyable!
Super nice hotel and rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was pretty impressive with many options. Quality of the food was good as well but not necessarily the best tasting. It is still worth a try since there's a lot of variety. I only stayed here for one night but found it one of the most comfortable hotels during my trip in Taiwan, I would definitely stay here again
