Great 2 nights stay over here! Clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast included and was a good and decent spread. Good location, minutes walk away from the Chiayi TRA station and walkable to downtown Chiayi for the Wenhua Night Market.
Special shout-out to the very pleasant lady, manning the counter who was on duty on the 29 June, Monday between 8pm to 12am. She went the extra mile to helped me on my laundry and delivered to my room, when she didn’t have to! Apologies for not catching your name.

I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Chiayi. The hotel is modern, clean, and very well maintained. The room was comfortable with a nice layout, good lighting, and a cozy bed that made it easy to relax after a long day.
One of the highlights was the location — it’s very convenient and close to many attractions, restaurants, and transportation options in Chiayi. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any questions.
Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise with a good variety of options, and the dining area was clean and spacious. Everything felt organized and efficient.
Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re visiting Chiayi and want a comfortable, reliable place to stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Excellent IHG-member hotel on the west side of Chiayi. Easily accessible via taxis/Ubers. Staff is friendly, check in is easy, rooms are comfortable. Status holders are recognized with room upgrades when available and thoughtful food & beverage gifts in the room.
If you're familiar with Holiday Inn in Asia this won't disappoint you. Clean, comfortable, quiet and practical. Rooms are comfortably sized, though in the king-bed rooms, the addition of a massage chair tends to cramp the space more than it benefits. Additionally there is very little desk space for working. Charging ports/outlets are conveniently located bedside and near the small workspace.
Beds are comfortable. Softer than many Asian beds, with great bedding and always soft and firm pillows to choose from. Climate control is responsive in the room. Tea & coffee service provided in the room.
Bathrooms have necessary toiletries (you can request them at the front desk). Towels are thick. Typical body wash and shampoo provided in the shower and by the sink.
Very comfortable and serviceable for work or pleasure.

Recommend this hotel if you are going to Alishan . A good stopover
Could not fault the hotel on anything. Cleanliness is top notch, and staff are so friendly. They also have free snacks and an ice cream and coffee bar! I was making afforgato every day because both the vanilla ice cream and Luisa coffee expresso were good. As someone who gets tired easily because of my chemo treatment, I appreciated how efficient everything was and how comfortable and accessible the facilities were.
The only suggestion I can think of is I hope they provide rack for personal toiletries in the shower area.
I hope to stay here again!
