Good hotel with very friendly staff. The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was good. The gym is very basic and unfortunately the pool wasn’t operating, although it looked nice. Overall, a great hotel for a few nights. We stayed for 3 nights, which ended up being too long for us.... more because we found Tainan itself quite boring. But if you’re in Tainan, this hotel was great and also good value for money.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very nice and helpful. We asked for a firmer pillow, and they kindly provided one. One thing that was a little confusing was breakfast. At check-in, we were asked to choose a specific time slot for breakfast. We didn’t want to commit to a particular time, so we said we weren’t sure. They told us we should specify a time on the following days, but no one asked us again and we ended up having breakfast whenever it suited us, which worked out well. The laundry is coin-operated, with only one washing machine and one dryer. The gym was alright. The pool is very shallow and can get quite busy, so it’s more suitable for cooling down than actually swimming. The bar was quiet and relaxing, and a nice place to cool down and have a drink. The hotel is also close to the train station, with several bus stops nearby, which is very handy for getting around Tainan. Overall, we had a good and comfortable stay.
I was stopped by the staff in the lobby area for having a quick bite with my brought-in sandwich while I was waiting for the very late check-in at 4:00 PM, even though I had requested an earlier check-in with the hotel a few days back. Besides, there was no free bottled water in my room. Not a good experience!
Super nice rooms and a really nice rain shower! Laundry self-service was very convenient. Gym is also nice. Apart from that the hotel has some major and minor shortcomings. Major: Firstly, very bad and uninspired breakfast with limited savoury vegetarian options and the food was dry and tasted not fresh at all, especially the baked goods. Also it feels a bit like eating at a food hall, not a five star hotel. The worst breakfast we ever had at a hotel. Secondly, pool hours only from 1:30 pm, which means you can’t go for a swim before breakfast as we usually like to do and which is standard at every other hotel. Also, pool maintenance during the busiest hours (5:30 to 6:30pm) is weird. Minor: Check-in at 4pm is rather late, standard is 3pm. Also, it is not allowed to bring food to the rooftop even though there is no bar or anything, a bit sad.
A lovely hotel located in the center of Tainan. It’s a large hotel with very friendly staff and plenty of facilities. There is a swimming pool. Although it’s small and more suitable for a relaxing dip than serious swimming, the water is clean and perfect for someone like me who isn’t very confident in the water. The hotel also has a gym and a self-service laundry area with affordable coin-operated machines. Bicycles are available for free, which made it very easy for us to explore Tainan. The breakfast buffet is impressive, offering a wide variety of dishes. It’s great value for money and conveniently located not far from the train station, though not the high-speed rail station. They are also very eco-conscious, providing refillable water jars instead of bottled water, which I think is a nice touch.
