Our family loves this hotel. We’ve gone here two years in a row. It’s attached to a mall with restaurants and is directly across the street from where most boating related excursions depart. I think the Sheraton is rated higher but this is the only hotel we would stay at when visiting Penghu.
Very clean, spacious and well-maintained hotel in a highly central location. The hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, which is very convenient. Free parking is available. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the reception team and even the parking attendant outside. A special highlight: the bar was opened exclusively for us in the evening, which we really appreciated. The rooms are large, generous in layout and very clean. However, the mattress and pillows are quite firm. The balcony light cannot be switched off and the curtains do not block out light completely, so the room stays rather bright at night. Hot water was fully available and hot in the morning, but in the evening there was not enough hot water at times. Breakfast offers a very wide selection, but it is extremely crowded and noisy. About 30 minutes before the official end time (10:00), staff start pushing guests to hurry up, which felt uncomfortable. Overall, a comfortable and very clean hotel with an excellent location and outstandingly friendly staff. Points deducted for breakfast atmosphere, sleep comfort (light and firmness of bed), and limited hot water availability in the evening.
Lets start with the positives: - Decent and comfy room, on the luxury side - Great view - ChenChen Dining was decent - Location - near to the port, really easy for boat rides in case we want to visit other islands. - Free drinks added every day - Travel agent and rental cars at the entrance. Negative sides: - Breakfast was poor, the food choices was heavily limited and always the same with poor taste of food - Rather small swimming pool - Bathroom door design that the staff couldn't even figure it out (where you have to click a button, then lock, then slide the door in order to lock) - Balcony door was very hard to open - Limited entertainment options
Definitely going back to this hotel if I visit Penghu again. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting too! Rooms are huge, clean and comfortable at a good location right next to shopping. Minibar is filled with snacks and penghu cactus beer though I didn’t quite like the taste of the beer but it’s good hospitality 🙂 Swimming pool is a tad small but suitable for kids to play and swim. Sauna is avail at no extra charge too! Overall an enjoyable stay!
Lovely hotel located right next to Port. The lobby is pleasantly perfumed and the room I have stayed in, room 1123 features a great view, comfortable living quarters and a spacious bathroom. But the most notable of all is the amazing service provided by every single staff on duty. They are lovely people who tended to me and my family's needs perfectly and tirelessly. Another part that I enjoyed are the drinks at the lounge which is criminally empty maybe due to its location. But the bartender stationed there shakes delicious drinks that really amplifies the experience a tropical resort. I would suggest every patron staying to seek out the lounge and try out the special drinks, you won't regret it. Overall amazing staying experience would definitely recommend.
