Tahiti Full Day Private Coastal Tour

Worth every penny! Rony picked us up at the port after we disembarked from our cruise ship. Soooo easy. We had over 13 hours to wait for our flight home. We wanted to make the time count. We booked with Tahiti Top Tours for an 8 hour tour. Just the 2 of us. What was wonderful is that we were asked at the start if there was anywhere special we wanted to go. We had done our homework and wanted to go to the surfing spot on Tahiti Iti. Turns out, he already had that in mind. Rony felt like family from the get-go. He was extremely knowledgeable about Tahiti and its culture and sights, incredibly intelligent (speaks 5 languages fluently), and endearingly caring (I twisted my ankle on the cruise and my foot was incredibly swollen and he worried about it the whole day. We never felt rushed. We were so happy with our guide that we insisted on buying him lunch at a fantastic restaurant he suggested and ate what he suggested from the menu. OMG, it was fantastic! Seriously, one of the best excursions we have ever done. We would ask for him again for next time and do some museums. By the end, we could not have asked for anymore.

This excursion is filled with amazing views and lots of history. Time well spent. Our guide Eric’s knowledge of the plants and history made the day fantastic.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable! Great tour of the ENTIRE island! He was so nice and accommodating. we saw both white & black sand beaches, two waterfalls, where the surfing olympics were, lighthouse and so much more

We were surprised when we found out our guide had only been a guide for a month! You would have never known as he was so very good. He knew the plants, the communities, the culture and so much more. His name was Tamatea.

Tamatea was an absolute gem of a guide. From the moment we started, it was clear he was genuinely invested in making our time in Tahiti memorable and meaningful. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the island and its culture, and took the time to share stories and traditions that gave the tour real depth. We covered Tahiti Nui and were also taken to a part of the smaller island that most tours simply won’t venture to – a remote and special area that felt like a true hidden gem. These were stops we never expected to be included, and they made the experience feel truly personal rather than off a checklist. Tamatea also went out of his way to stop at multiple scenic spots to take our photos and make sure we had lasting memories of the day. Nothing felt rushed, and every stop felt intentional. If you want to go beyond the typical tourist route and actually connect with the culture and landscape of Tahiti, this is the tour and this is your guide. Max is an amazing tour guide. You can’t go wrong with this choice. He knows EVERYTHING about French Polynesia and especially Tahiti. We just wish we had more time with him. He vehicle was very comfortable for the 4 of us. We appreciated that he used a microphone in the van so we could easily hear his narration.

Booked Full Day Island Tour with South Pacific Tours. Honestly one of the best excursions I've ever taken anywhere in the world. Visited beautiful beaches, amazing waterfalls and caves, sacred sites and breathtaking views. Our guide Benny is an absolute Island legend, it was like being in the company of a star! He truly made you not just see Papeete but feel the beauty of what is the closest you'll get to paradise anywhere in the world.

Ray was a fantastic guide. We toured the whole island including driving out into Tahiti Iti where the Olympic surfing competition was held. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. It was expensive but worth it to us.

We were very fortunate to get Maxim Natalia as our guide. The service and complete discussion of the island, and the sights we saw were the highlight of our 18 day cruise. Definitely would recommend.

Very nice tour around the island with several stops of interest. We were picked up and dropped right at the cruise port, great. My only dislike is the lunch. It was expensive and lacking in flavor. Also, our guide was very informative regarding the sights and history. Nicole is very helpful, pleasant, and fun to be with.

My daughters and I had the most amazing time on the tour with Natalia! She taught us so much about the island, it's history and many legends. She took so many amazing photos of us at all of the gorgeous locations so we can hold those memories close.

My trip was for an entire day (8 hours) and we went to both Tahiti Nui and Tahiti-iti. Natalia took us to everywhere in Tahiti. Literally every where you can think of. She helped us tpok photos and told us numerous legends of the island. Her English is great, no problem understanding her at all. She is very approachable. We also had a great buffet lunch. I would definitely recommend Natalia to my friends if they are to visit. Thumbs up to this tour .

This was our best tour while in French Polynesia! Max was amazingly knowledgeable and accommodating! We saw beautiful scenic spots and caught up on some of the culture. We have a great photo record of our visit as Max used our phones to expertly document almost every stop. He was able to add a personal touch many places as he seemed to know all the locals. We could not have asked for a better day!

Natalia arrived at our hotel promptly at the scheduled time and—unlike our experiences with some other day tours—gave us the full 8 hours with her. The guides were bright and very kind and also very knowledgeable about nature, such as plants. We enjoyed learning about history, religion, manners and customs, flowers and nuts of plants, animals, etc. while driving around the sights of Tahiti in a comfortable car.
