Stayed here before a cruise. When we got to the room I had to double check it was the right one because it was the size of a small apartment. It was comfortable and roomy with a tropical theme using original artwork.

We didn't stay at the hotel itself but in a serviced apartment on site. Not sure if this is also managed by the hotel or another company. What the hotel is responsible for though and is totally unacceptable is using a leaf blower between midnight and 3am. If I hadn't shouted from the balcony that they have to stop or I would call the police they would still be going. Such noise disturbance during the night is crazy. Since Tahiti is a hit and miss anyway, maybe use it for one night right at your arrival or before your departure. Not if you are jetlagged and want to catch up on sleep though.
September 2025. Located on the Bay of Matavai, the hotel offers a very nice view on the black sand beach. Our room was a mezzanine suite high up in the building and offered a welcome haven after a long flight from San Francisco. The noise level was unexpected and mainly caused by other clients of the hotel as well as the cocks that were calling their hens early in the morning. Restaurant and bars were disappointing, making this hotel a good stopover on the island of Tahiti but certainly not a final destination.
We've stayed in the Signature Room and it was AMAZING! The room was perfect in any way! Clean, comfortable, spacious and with perfect view of the ocean. The staff is VERY welcoming, wonderful service and always with a smile. There is a free shuttle twice a day to the city center. The swimming pool is GREAT and the bar serves excellent drinks and cocktails. In short :a perfect stay!
Rooms: Nice and clean and comfy - can't fault them there. Beautiful views! Did not try the spa. No water offered in the room and no local or accessible nearby shops to get your own. This is disappointing especially considering the hot weather in April. Service: Elevators were broken and had 3 flights of stairs. Luckily they had staff to assist with luggage. Food was ok, not remarkable and overall way over priced. $40-$50 for just one basic mains dish. They ran out of fresh coconuts mid afternoon while we were surrounded by trees overflowing. Very cute and affectionate little kittens and chickens strolling around which was absolutely divine. Location: Nothing nearby. Cabs don't take CreditCard on the island and told no ATM nearby. So you're kind of stuck. Black sandy beaches and very warm water: while interesting, I would personally choose somewhere more enticing and accessible.
