Loved the wildlife park. Lunch was lovely and our guide did a great job telling us the history but also making the tour memorable. Lunch was lovely

Itinerary
The experience begins when a friendly guide greets you at the meeting point. You'll be part of a small group of no more than 11 travellers aboard a comfortable minibus that takes you south out of the city along the beaches of Botany Bay and through the Royal National Park. First stop is Bald Hill Lookout, a popular launch site for hang gliders and para gliders, which affords sweeping views of the Illawarra coastline and the famous Sea Cliff Bridge. After the break it's just a few minutes drive to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park which is active in koala conservation. Here you'll find out everything you ever wanted to know about these fascinating marsupials during a private koala experience with a keeper. Snap the ultimate selfie - just you and a koala. You’ll also be able to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and get up close to other native Australian wildlife. Next you'll meander along the Grand Pacific Drive traversing the Sea Cliff Bridge as it sweeps out over the ocean, well clear of the crumbling cliffs to which the old highway clung. You’ll continue to follow the scenic coastline to a golden beach where you’ll enjoy lunch in a café popular with locals with views out over the ocean. Bring your swimmers for a dip if the sun is out! In the afternoon you’ll head up through temperate rainforest into the Southern Highlands. An easy hike leads to viewpoints that take in the spectacular sandstone gorges and towering waterfalls of the Morton National Park. Finally, you’ll drive along country roads to a boutique winery to sample locally-produced, cool climate wine before returning to Sydney. Arrival back at Circular Quay is around 6:30pm.

Rob was an excellent tour guide! Rob gave us great information - very friendly and knowledgeable. This excursion is WELL WORTH IT. LOVE LOVE the wildlife park and loving on the koalas. A great experience! Thanks, Rob!
This was a fantastic day. Our driver and guide Steve knew everything about everything. We got to go into the symbio wildlife Park before it opened and hang out with the koalas. We got to go to botany Bay and Bald Hill lookout and then we had this great lunch which he pre-ordered at bulli Beach. We saw lots of the mountains and the coastline and even whales! And then we drove to Morton National Park where we saw beautiful stone outcroppings and then finished at a local winery which was a nice way to end the day. Highly recommend.
This is a wonderful tour. So much to see and to do. Our tour guide other Steve was our best tour guide and made the tour great.
We visited very nice places with our fun tour guide. Highly recommended.l for an outdoor experience of outside of the city.
This tour was a must do!! Our favorite thing in Sydney! Steve and Jack were fantastic and the experience was amazing!!!
Wonderful experience with Julian and the team. Perfect trip to see many Australian highlights all in one day. Coach was comfortable, food was great, and the sights were beautiful!
It was a wonderful day. I was uncertain about it as I booked it in the last minute, it was expensive, and I feared it would repeat some of what we had done and seen the day before. But it truly was an entirely different experience except for the repeat visit to Fitzroy falls, but even that was different because our guide knew so much about the flora and fauna. Seeing koalas, kangaroos and wallabies up close and personal was delightful. Lunch was delicious and the wines were lovely. And breaching whales were added at no extra charge!
Our guide, the other Steve, is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and patient. The number of sights this tour covers in a single day makes it very efficient. And it includes a full lunch, as well as generous snacks for the wine tasting. It is an excellent value for a great day out of Sydney.
Nice to have early exclusive access to Symbio wildlife park, which was a highlight of our trip to have a close encounter with a koala, kangaroos and wallabies. Fantastic tour with Tony. He was knowledgeable, friendly, intelligent, kind and attentive. His calming presence made the tour relaxing and feel like a vacation. Learned extensively about the region, flora, birds, fascinating history snippets and current events. Tasty lunch ocean side was a nice touch, as were the picturesque stops/look out points. Impressive waterfall/mountain views, and relaxing wine tasting and nosh to wrap up the trip. Highly recommend, especially if Tony is guiding.
My wife and I had an incredible experience on the Wildlife, Waterfalls & Wine tour. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and offered the perfect mix of native Australian wildlife, stunning coastal and bushland views, and local wine tasting. The highlight for me was visiting the Symbio Wildlife Park and feeding the kangaroos. A special shout-out to our tour guide, Rohan, who truly made the trip exceptional! His knowledge of Sydney's history, geography, and wildlife was remarkable, and he kept us engaged and entertained throughout the day. Rohan went above and beyond to take us around the Bradman Oval (not in the official tour) after learning of my interest in cricket. Feeding the kangaroos and wallabies, getting up close with koalas, seeing the breathtaking waterfalls, and wrapping up the day at the winery made for a memorable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better day trip—highly recommended to anyone visiting the Sydney area!
Best experience ever! Wildlife park was amazing! Great lunch, views, and winery. This excursion is a must while in Sydney!
This trip had everything we went to the wildlife park. Got our picture with Kolas fed Kangaroos saw so many exciting animals Stop at a overlook to see the sights Then when went on a hike saw a water fall Then went to a winery. Our was the best Worth every penny.
This was an amazing day trip—if you’re looking to get out of Sydney and see some of the Australian countryside this is a perfect chance. Steve was an incredible tour guide, telling us both about the places we were going but also sprinkling in experiences from his life (driving by creeks he played in as a kid, local places he spent time growing up, etc) that added to the trip and showed he really knew what he was talking about. The range of things we were able to see/experience in a day was a great value for the money and it was a stress-free way to check a bunch of boxes off my travel list.
Rob was a perfect guide! Personable and knowledgeable about the area and a definite part of a great day. Absolutely amazing experience feeding the wallabies and kangaroos. And petting the koala as a private part of the tour before the zoo opened was ideal. The waterfall was an easy hike and the wine tasting lovely to end the tour. Windy roads are beautifully scenic but if you get it all carsick shake something ahead of time.
As a solo traveler, this was hands down one of the highlights of my trip to Australia. The day was so well planned and packed with incredible experiences without ever feeling rushed. Getting to feed the kangaroos was such a fun experience, and going into the koala enclosure early to actually touch the koalas was amazing. The waterfalls, coastal views, seaside lunch, and wine tasting made for a perfect day. Steve, the other Steve, was a fantastic guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the whole day fun. The small group size also made it really easy and comfortable as a solo traveler. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney.
Superb on all counts, great program, a full day of variety, from landscapes to wildlife, with a native Sydney experienced guide, who can engage on so many subjects from history to geography, culture, etc. A truly memorable addition to a short Sydney stay, well worth the full day !
This is an absolutely amazing experience and great for solo travelers! Highly recommend if you are in Sydney
What a wonderful day outside of Sydney. The wildlife part was the biggest highlight, I could have stayed there all day but there was so much more to see. Pro tip though: Bring a jacket!!! It was freezing at the waterfall. Definitely recommend this tour, as long as you bring a jacket.
Wonderful way to meet wildlife and get out of the city! After petting koalas and feeding kangaroos, I felt I had gotten my money’s worth but that was just the start. The day continued with beautiful views and so much information about Australia. Tony was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend to spend a day with Wildlife, Waterfalls, and Wine!
What a fabulous day wandering south of Sydney! Our local guide, Rob was simply the best. From local stories, to a on-time itinerary, with plenty of stops for photos… this was a great experience. We saw the coastline, we traveled winding roads up mountains, we saw local wildlife, beautiful gardens and farms, coastal cafe lunch, a stunning waterfall and finished with a wine tasting. Learned much about this beautiful place along the way! Rob is simply amazing and his enthusiasm for his home comes through all day!
This was a fantastic day trip that really gives a broad flavor of Australia! The wildlife experience was amazing! The animals were accessible and kept beautifully well! The drive to lunch was breathtaking! The waterfall hike was very accessible and the scenery beautiful….even in the rain! The wine tasting was beautiful and the wines were very tasty! The vineyard was fabulous! All done with time for dinner after the tour! Highly recommend!
Our host, Rowan, was excellent. We were given history and local facts that were of great interest to out whole group. The"zoo" amazed us. Hands on with the koala's , the wallaby's and kangaroos. Great lunch! The falls were obscured by clouds but interesting and the winery was fun. Great day! Highly recommend. It's a do over!
Great variety of activities, emphasizing areas south and west of Sydney not covered by many other tours. And I really enjoyed our guide!
I had a very detailed review done but it didn’t save so I’m not going to rewrite it all but it was great! Rohan was great and exceeded expectations. Amazing views, lunch swim, koala, kangaroo, waterfalls, wine! What’s not to love. Ended with 13,000 steps for the day. There is a changing space and shower if you want to swim. Would recommend to anyone visiting and very moderately priced for all you get!
I cannot say enough great things about our excursion with Local Travel Planner!! The wildlife, waterfalls and wine day tour was perfection! Our guides were super friendly and knowledgable and went above and beyond. They even had large umbrellas for us to use, should it start to rain, which it did. But that didn’t dampen our spirits which tells you how awesome the tour was!! We experienced so much in one day and it was the highlight of our trip down under. Thank you for such a memorable experience!!
What can we say... the other Steve made our day. It was an outstanding experience with the walking encyclopedia Australia which is Steve. Symbioso, the wine tasting, the waterfall hike and lunch overlooking the ocean is highly recommended. Value for money. No Worries Steve!
My wife and I spent the day with Steve, touring the amazing Australian countryside. We stopped at a zoo and were able to pet koala and feed kangaroos, emus and goats. We traveled through a National Park, which was spectacular. We saw an incredible waterfall and had some terrific wine. We enjoyed a tasty lunch with an amazing view. Steve was a fantastic guide! He shared so much knowledge of the area and we learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour!
Our day tour with Jackie was great. Gives you a different experience then the Blue Mountain tours. Wildlife park and encounters were fantastic. Stops and views a long the way breathtaking. Hike is easy to views of waterfalls. Ending the day with wine tasting at a stunning winery with delicious tastings and snacks. Really enjoyable and highly recommended. Nice maximum group of 11 on bus.
We flew in from Arizona and if you’re in Sydney and want the perfect escape into real Australia without any planning hassle, this day trip is an absolute must! We spent the day feeding adorable koalas (they’re so gentle and fluffy up close!) and kangaroos, which was hands-down the highlight – there’s nothing like hand-feeding these iconic animals in a relaxed, natural setting. Our guide, the legendary “Other Steve,” made the whole experience. As a native Australian with 27 years of guiding under his belt, he was incredibly knowledgeable, hilarious, and full of great stories. His passion for the history and wildlife shone through every stop, and his humor had our small group laughing the entire time, he’s outstanding and truly elevates the day! We ventured out of the city to some stunning spots: breathtaking waterfalls cascading through lush bushland, dramatic seaside cliffs with epic ocean views, and more. We enjoyed delicious food at a charming seaside café, then capped it off with a private wine tasting that was the perfect relaxed finish – great wines, beautiful vineyard vibes, and fantastic company. The small group size kept everything comfortable and personal, with plenty of time at each stop and no rushing around. It’s the ideal tour for anyone who prefers experts handling the details and taking you to the best hidden gems near Sydney. This was hands-down one of the best days of our trip – immersive, fun, authentic Australia at its finest. Highly recommend to everyone, families, couples, solo travelers – you won’t be disappointed!
What a great day that checked all our Australia boxes!! Koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian Devils, Emus to name a few of the more friendly inhabitants. Natural beauty, Wine tasting and a very friendly and extremely knowledgeable “other Steve.” Really a great day with no worries!! Many thanks!!
The WWW tour from Sydney was a full day of traveling, but the van was very comfortable and it was a good way to see sites away from the big cities. Our tour guide/driver, Emma, was very personable and I enjoyed listening to and talking with her. She was knowledgeable about the areas we toured, and offered historical and present day info during the drive. Our first stop was the Symbio Wildlife Park, where we arrived before the crowds and were able to enjoy the Koala Experience before other visitors arrived. We also got to feed the kangaroos and wallabies during the quiet time. Emma interacted easily with the Park staff and seemed to have a good relationship with them. From the Park we traveled along the coast to Bulli Beach, stopping at a couple of scenic overlooks before having lunch at the Bulli Beach Cafe. We had the opportunity to swim in the Bulli Rockpool, but nobody in the group I was with took advantage of that. Instead, we spent a little time walking along the beach. From Bulli Beach we traveled through the beautiful Southern Highlands to the Morton National Park. Once we arrived at the Park, we walked along a couple of trails and saw a few small waterfalls, before arriving at an overlook to see the picturesque Fitzroy Falls (81m). After seeing the Fitzroy Falls, we headed out for the winery and the wine tasting. The winery itself was beautiful and they offered us a small cheese/fruit assortment during the tasting. (Although I don't drink wine, a couple I was traveling with bought a bottle of wine to take with them on a cruise they were leaving on the next day.) Walking through the Symbio Wildlife Park was mostly on paved walkways; walking through the Morton National Park was on what I considered typical park trails through the woods but with quite a few sets of steps, and was more difficult. It was a long day and we covered a lot of miles, but overall it was a wonderful experience and I'm glad I took the tour.
We have done numerous excursions in Australia and New Zealand and this was our best guide that we had. He was very friendly and informative. It was also nice to have a local to guide us.
This was the best tour I have ever experienced. Our guide, Steve, was outstanding. Super friendly and provided a lot of interesting information along the way. Our interaction with koalas and kangaroos made the trip to Australia perfect!
The price is well worth the experience. Rhoan our tour guide was fantastic. We entered the animal sanctuary before the general public, got social time with the kangaroos, took a drive to the National Park which was breathtaking. Lastly going to Centennial winery was great. Tasting their sparkling wine was so good and getting to pet the winery dog Talli. Couple spots where you had to be in the car for a bit but was good for a short nap. Most tourists go to the Blue Mountains when in Sydney, but I can’t recommend this enough. You basically have each location to yourself and your small group. Less touristy and more genuine.
One of the best yours we have taken so far on this trip. Rowan our tour guide was excellent!! He is very knowledgeable and provided us with meaningful/insightful information about a variety of subjects. It was like having a private tour since there were only 8 of us. Good lunch in a very nice beach town. The koalas private viewing was so special❤️ The wine tasting very enjoyable, love the cheeses, crackers, fruit and dried fruit platter. Highly recommend this company!!
Today’s experience was absolutely wonderful — easily the highlight of my trip to Sydney so far. The combination of wildlife, waterfalls, and wine made for such a well-rounded and memorable day. Everything felt thoughtfully organized, the pacing was excellent, and we were able to truly enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. The scenery was stunning throughout the day, and each location offered something unique and special. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend it. It was a beautiful way to experience more of New South Wales beyond the city and one of the most enjoyable days of my trip.
An absolutely unforgettable experience highlighting the natural beauty of Sydney! Emma was so knowledgable and fun! We really enjoyed our day❤️
If you hesitate to book group tours, don’t think twice about this one. The group is small and intimate and the itinerary is wonderful. Full of local gems. This is not a cookie cutter tour with hundreds of tourists on the same schedule. Steve was a fantastic guide and host. Each stop was exciting. The drive was stunning. It’s a fantastic day out. We’d do it again in a heart beat.
This tour was amazing! Tour Guide Emma picked us up promptly and we loved all the experiences … patting a Koala, feeding Wallaby’s and Kangaroos, driving through national parks, lunching at a seaside cafe, amazing vistas of the shoreline, and a relaxing visit to a winery. I highly recommend this tour!
This excursion was well balanced, offered a variety of experiences for all tastes and on time. Tony was a gem and accommodating to all requests. I would highly recommend this tour. #wildlifewaterfallswine
An exceptional tour from start to finish! Jackie was an outstanding guide—extremely knowledgeable about Sydney and the surrounding areas, highly professional, and genuinely entertaining the entire day. She is also a very safe and excellent driver, which made the scenic journey even more enjoyable. The early-morning wildlife park visit before it opened to the public was priceless—having close encounters with koalas and kangaroos in such a peaceful setting was unforgettable. Stops at Bulli Beach and lunch at Bulli Café were perfect, followed by a stunning, scenic drive to the waterfalls park. The visit to Centennial Vineyards was the perfect finale—fantastic wines, delicious accompaniments (cheese, olives, crackers), and wonderful winery staff. Overall, an amazing experience made truly special by Jackie. Highly recommended!

Emma was the best tour guide. Emma’s knowledge of the area is extensive. We learned so much about koalas and pandas on our visit and topped off the day with a beautiful trip to a winery. This is a must do tour thank you Emma
We did the Wildlife, Waterfalls & Winery tour in Sydney with “Other Steve,” and while the itinerary itself was incredible, we firmly believe the experience was so amazing because of our tour guide. Steve was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. He brought every stop to life with stories, local insight, and great energy, making the entire tour feel personal rather than scripted. From the wildlife encounters to the waterfalls and winery, everything flowed seamlessly thanks to him. If you’re considering this tour, do yourself a favor and hope you get Other Steve (lol) — he truly made the experience unforgettable!
Steve is an excellent guide. He is very friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommend!
If you only have a short stay in Sydney, then the Wildlife, Waterfall and Wine day trip is the most perfect way to see some of the surrounding national parks and coastal areas. The tour was comfortable and well organised and because of our driver/guide, the other Steve, it was hugely fun and informative too! Getting early access to the wildlife park and meeting the koalas and kangaroos was very special. Warmly recommended!
This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Our tour guide made the places we visited even more enjoyable as she described them in detail before we arrived. She was knowledgeable, funny and really added to the day. We were able to visit the wildlife sanctuary before it was open to the public, the visit to Bulli Beach for lunch and the beach , and the trip to the winery for a tasting were incredible.
We had such a great time learning, seeing, experiencing and tasting the history and culture of Australia. Would recommend this for any type of group of solo travel. The "other Steve" was the perfect tour guide!
Wonderful day, highly recommend. The other Steve kept us entertained all day, the experience was great fun, would be brilliant for a family
