Such a great experience. Clear instructions on where to meet, it turned out there were just 3 of us on the tour. Steve was brilliant, so knowledgeable and interesting. I felt I’d gotten to know him a bit as a person as well as imparting knowledge. He is so well informed on politics, history etc, it really added to the tour, bringing the past to the present. We covered so much ground and it gave me a great orientation of the city (as someone with a very poor sense of direction). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and would suggest it as an early activity to set you up well for your trip

We will stop in Martin Place and Pitt St to look at the General Post Office and hear the story of its controversial construction and design.
We will stop in Martin Place to hear about the ANZAC Cenotaph and Australia's involvement in World War 1.
We will walk through part of The Rocks towards the end of the tour, visiting the Nurses Walk, Jack Mundey Place and lower George St.
We will see the Opera House from where we finish the tour and at Campbell's Cove. We do not enter the Opera House but you will hear the story of its construction.
We will see the Sydney Harbour Bridge from where the tour finishes. We do not get up on the bridge as part of the tour, but it is a short walk from the end point.

Mathew was very attentive to the path we took being that I'm in a wheelchair, and he was also very attentive to walking speed coz of my wife's knee. the tour was very informative and relevant, Matt kept us engaged for the whole tour.
A really good tour round the city as a wonderful taste of Sydney! Jake was great, knowledgeable, informative, engaging and entertaining! Loads more to do now!
Jake was an excellent guide in 3 1/2 hours he showed us the highlights of downtown Sydney, the botanical gardens, shopping district, the rocks and opera house. We finished off with a welcome cold beer. Great tour with a very knowledgeable guide
What a great way to get to know Sydney! As a first time visitor it’s hard to know where to start and what should not be missed. Matt was a wonderful guide and made it fun to explore this city. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour guided by Steve! He was engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining. We really enjoyed learning about portions of Sydney’s history that we had not come across on other tours. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour and guide! Wear your walking shoes!
Fantastic tour, learned a lot and saw a lot of history and culture in Sydney
Very helpful , knowledgeable and engaging . Recommended
Had a great walking tour with our guide, Matt. He was very informative about the history of Sydney and made a special effort to speak to everyone individually during the walk. The pace of the walk was good and covered a decent area of the main places. Would recommend this as an opening insight to Sydney on arrival.
Matt was phenomenal, very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable.
Michael was an awesome guide with a lot of knowledge. I highly enjoyed the tour and locations. Easy way to get familiar with the history and culture of Sydney.
Excellent Sydney walking tour. Our guide, Jake, was friendly and informative. You get to see parts of Sydney most tourists do not see.
Our tour guide Steve was the best. Very knowledgeable and engaging. We got to see many parts of Sydney that I am sure we would not have seen otherwise. Definitely worth the booking!
The communication leading up to the trip including the detailed meeting point directions by Jason the morning of the walk was very helpful. Steve was our guide. He provides a very informative and entertaining walking tour. I love a visual aid..Steve has visual aids. He also has a cookie as a representative of what families sent to their loved ones fighting in the war. This is a very well organized tour. We visit historical sites and current culture haunts. I felt like it was a pretty comprehensive tour of the downtown of Sydney. Steve was respectful of the groups pace and the ever warming sun during the walk. He made sure to point out stops for snacks and restroom breaks. As a newbie to the city this was a great way to get the lay of the land and to find areas that I may want to revisit for a deeper dive. Maybe it's because he is a former teacher or maybe it's because he has studied psychology..but Steve is really good with all types of people. Overall I had an extremely delightful time.
Absolutely a ten star tour with our guide Matt. Funny, engaghing, great history and culture, use of visuals, and great story telling as well as trivia to keep everyone in the group involved. Having been on many many tours, this is among the best I've every experienced.
Steve gave us a great touoof Sydney and provided us with humerus stories along with the historical information. Definitely recommend this tour and Steve our guide.
Steve was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. I had been to Sydney before but still learned a lot on this tour. I suggest booking it early in your stay if you can. Definitely worth the time and money. Ask Steve about his convict ancestors!
My husband and I booked a private morning Sydney Ultimate Walking Tour with Steve, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our stay in Sydney. Despite the rainy weather, Steve's energy, humour and enthusiasm made the tour an incredibly enjoyable experience from start to finish. He was genuinely hilarious and kept us entertained throughout the morning, while also sharing a huge amount of knowledge about Sydney's history, landmarks and local culture. We covered so much ground and saw far more than we expected. In fact, it wasn't until I went for a run the following day that I realised just how much we'd packed into a few hours. Everywhere I ran, I found myself thinking, "We learnt about that yesterday!" It really helped us understand and appreciate the city in a way we never could have on our own. Steve struck the perfect balance between being informative and engaging. The history was fascinating, and he brought the stories of Sydney to life with plenty of humour and interesting local insights along the way. If you're visiting Sydney, I can't recommend this tour highly enough. Whether it's your first visit or you're returning to the city, it's a fantastic way to see the sights, learn the history and get your bearings. Even the rain couldn't dampen our enjoyment. We'd recommend it to any tourist looking to make the most of their time in Sydney.
Steve was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Great way to get to know the city and history.
Wonderful guide and great location pickup
We had a great 3 hour walking tour of Sydney with our guide, Steve. There were only 5 in the group, so it was an easy pace. Steve had us laughing with stories he told about Sydney and its present and past inhabitants. We ended the walk at a restaurant in The Roots that was directly across the harbor from the Opera House. Beautiful view and photo opportunity.
A wonderful walking tour & terrific introduction to our stay in Sydney. Our guide Matt was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable & very engaging. We had great fun & our tour flew by. Highly recommend as a must do for anyone interested in history.
A great way to get an overview of Sydney if you haven’t much time in the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Sydney as a nice intro to the city after arriving off the plane only a few hours before! Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable and only too happy to take photos for people in the group. The drink at the end was also a nice addition. Thanks again Matt! Imogen and Graeme from Scotland 😊
Our guide Matt is a great ranocteur of Sydney's (& Australia's) pre and post-colonial history, leading us on a fascinating tour of Old Sydney. Thoroughly recommended.
Jake was fantastic! He's passionate, funny, and full of great stories about Sydney's history. He showed us spots we'd never have found on our own and gave us great tips for the rest of our trip. Do this tour early in your visit, and ask for Jake!

Jake was an absolutely wonderful guide the entire day. We were well looked after and the tour was super informative. I really enjoyed learning more about the history of the city and all the different places I’ll be visiting to have a pint. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking to learn more about the city or get the download on where to spend your time in Sydney!
It was the awesome city walking tour. Explanations of our tour guid, Steve, during the tour were so interesting. I recommend everyone to pick this tour rather than walking around the city areas in Sydney.
Michael was an amazing guide through Sydney. We learned so much about the history. Highly recommend this tour with him.
Thanks Steve for a really wonderful tour. It was so informative and your knowledge was very impressive. Such a good foundation for our stay in Sydney. Great recommendations for food, drink and places to go. I’ll recommend you to everyone
Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and funny. He was also very patient with me, especially when i take photos.
The tour was simply lovely. Our guide, Jake, was not only knowledgable but also cheerful, which was huge since this was the first tour of my trip and started in the morning. The 3.5-hour walk was very easy and covered several hidden spots I would have otherwise missed.
I highly recommend this tour. Jake our guide did a great job explaining some history and fun facts about different neighborhoods in Sydney.
We loved the ultimate walking tour we did with Andrew and Local Sauce. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable about NSW political and cultural history, shared the fascinating city lore, patiently answered our questions, showed us great photo spots, and just made it a fun day. We highly recommend this tour.
Great tour! Just right amount of information and breaks at the right places
Our guide, Jake, really made this Sydney walking tour fantastic! His deep knowledge of both its history and current culture made it so interesting. He was super approachable and had answers for all our questions. In just three hours, we explored a lot of historical sites and hidden gems we never would have found alone. Jake even provided visuals and a small treat to help us imagine what life was like back then. The walk itself was quite relaxing, and we had ample opportunities for bathroom breaks. We wrapped up the tour with a refreshing drink at a pub, which was the perfect ending to a wonderful tour!
Jake is very knowledgable and fun!
This walking tour was a perfect start to the trip after first getting there. Matt was so much fun. He is very informative and made the tour very engaging with games, fun facts, quiz questions. He was understanding and patient when I was running late after arriving into Sydney late! I would do this again. Highly recommend!! A very nice and welcoming person!
Jake was fantastic! What a beautiful city, and his knowledge of the nooks, crannies, and history really improved our experience.
Steve was incredible! He was full of knowledge about Sydney and could answer every question we had. He was extremely personable and funny, which made the tour so much fun! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested learning about the history of Sydney (including the Aboriginal people) in a fun and interesting way. As a history nerd, I learned so much and had so many other curiosities sparked. Thank you, Steve!
Fab tour Loads of knowledge Interesting Finishing with a beer is perfect
Steve was funny, knowledgeable and helpful. Gave an excellent history of Sydney and was friendly with a good sense of humor. Excellent tour!
Nice small group - there were 3 of us. Steve was a great guide and I saw things I’d never have discovered alone. Perfect pace with stops for coffee and bathroom breaks!
Great way to see beautiful Sydney. Our family enjoyed our small group tour of 4 people with Michael, who is patient and kind. The meeting point at Customs House was very convenient for us. The pace was pretty leisurely and the tour was interesting!
Great tour! Well worth the money ✌️
It was a good decision to take the tour as a first timer in Sydney. It was a convenient way to explore without losing so much time. I got to identify places I wanted to visit after. Matt, our tour guide was funny and energetic. The walk did not feel 4 hrs with how he engaged and managed our group. I just found the price a bit steep.
Excellent walking tour of Sydney. Very informative. Andrew was an excellent guide. Highly recommended.
Such a great way to get to know Sydney and it’s history!!! Loved it! Matt was super knowledgeable and time flew! Highly recommend 🤩
