Boat and staff were great but this was a poor value. The schedule doesn’t allow enough time to visit and enjoy more than 1-2 locations. Both days we took the Sydney ferry back because we wanted to stay longer (than 2.5 hours at the Zoo). We’d have come out ahead paying for each of activities individually.

Zoo experience was excellent great people to deal with
Great way to see the zoo and all the other stops especially with a 2 day hop on hop off ferry to use
There was a lot of walking involved. I enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend to visit.
What an easy way to see the various islands and zoo. The staff were helpful in planning the excursions
I have visited only Uk zoos in the past I can honestly say how the animals Was looked after was ( amazing ) Plenty of animals to see And the koalas just blow me away I fell in love 🥰 Terrsngo zoo is the best
This is the best zoo I’ve ever been to. The enclosures don’t look or feel like cages, and animals are active. Staff at the zoo are very friendly and knowledgeable. The shows are entertaining and informative.
Our excursion with Craig was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The wildlife refuge was a good site to visit. The hike to the falls was considered “moderate “ by Craig. I found it challenging but the others were having no problems. Some of the steps were steep and I used a pole to help but there were hand rails in a lot of places. Craig dropped us at Leura Mall for lunch after giving us a rundown of places to eat. I found it too crowded but we got pizza (which was one recommendation)and it was fast and good. We stopped at couple of other lookouts, which were beautiful sites. Over all a great day ! Thanks Craig!
It’s was a beautifully laid out zoo with incredible views. Doing wonderful conservation work!! An absolute must see!!
First, the Toronga Zoo exceeded expectations in every way possible. Our Captain Cooke HOHO, however, was very disappointing. While promised the ability to use the boats to hop between locations and take a 60-90 minute cruise of the Sydney Harbor, we were twice refused admission to boats leaving from the Zoo. We were told only those getting off at Manly could get on. So, our two day pass ended up being a round trip from Circular Wuay to the Zoo and back. Highly disappointing.
This was a great way to see Sydney by water. You can take the ferry for 48 which is helpful. I recommend taking the cruise at night to see the city but you do not have the option to hop on and off. The zoo was a good experience but seems better for younger children than teenagers.
The Captain Cook hop on hop off boat was easy to locate and they provided a detailed schedule for drop off and pick up. The Tarongo Zoo was a wonderful experience. So much to see. The animals looked to be well taken care of. Would highly recommend.
Everything went well! The views and attractions were amazing! The ferry was clean and well kept. The HOPO Cruise was a great way to navigate to the "must see" places in Sydney without worrying about not knowing where to go and what to do. The sample itinerary had given us guidance.
Little confusion with operator finding our booking, but very helpful and managed to sort it out for us.
Obviously the actual cruise is stunning but you can get that on the ferries too. I've given a lower rating as the frequency of hop on and hop off stops is ridiculous and not consistent. There's a period in the afternoon when you get stranded somewhere for hours without the ability to move. I had to get a standard ferry to meet my family at the zoo in the afternoon then there were no options to go elsewhere that day. So top tip only go to the zoo in the mornings. I completely wasted my second day ticket, didn't use it at all.
This is a great tour to see Sydney in a short time you will get a flavor of what the beautiful city of Sydney has to offer. Recommend.
Great way to see multiple sites with a good crew and safe ferry ride. Our only obstacle was understanding their schedule, they just handed us the paper. Overall still a great experience and worth the money and time.
We needed that whole morning through to afternoon to see all the sights at the zoo. We liked riding the Ferry too!
Great way to explore Sydney Harbour . We took the fast catermeran from Darling Harbour to the zoo then Manly and back . On time every stop not crowded . Great.
They were excellent. Always timely and attentive. Ferry was clean. Great way to get around lots quicker than the bus for some spots
Do NOT book this! Cruise was constantly late and the last cruise to Watsons Bay never arrived so I had take another ferry back at an extra charge. Not worth the money and cheaper to just take the public ferry which was arriving right on time throughout the day! I booked through Viator and contacted them, but they never replied.
The ferry has a fast turnaround at each landing, so don't be late! We enjoyed a fabulous day at the zoo.
It’s a small zoo but a nice way to spend a few hours. The 2 day pass makes it easy to see all the beaches. We really enjoyed Manly beach.
No kings street wharf. Only circular Quay. Don’t waste your $$. Even though tickets not used forced to pay to get to it and pay to leave. So if your from out of country on the web site. Don’t bother. Wait till you get here and use public ferry. Feel ripped off. Just no
Great way to see Sydney. Customer service was great at the terminal and the captains were amazing, cruising through all the watercraft and boats in the harbor. Loved being able to hop on and off. Visited the Zoo which was great. Manly Beach and Watson Bay were beautiful. The boat went past the Opera House so we had up close photos of that as well. The combo ticket saved us a lot of money, too.
Great 2 days, loved the stops. Boats were always on time, loved the stops at Watson bay, Manly, Tarango zoo.
The Taronga zoo and Manly beach were our favorites!! Even though it rained at Manly beach, we still had a great time
Great value, very nice zoo and boat ride. Great views also. Taronga was very clean and we really enjoyed it
I've never done a HOHO before and this was a good one to start. I divided it into the "water" stops one day and the zoo the second. Good plan, although it rained on zoo day. LOL! Still, Taronga is amazing. The Captain Cook crew was great and helped me navigate learning the ropes. I'll definitely do another excursion with Captain Cook.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Food and service was amazing especially views. We all had good time and I will highly recommended.
Great zoo great boat ride! Beautiful day to be on the water! Sunset is a great time to return to pier 6
Some exhibits were good as long as you got there when it was feeding time, otherwise the animal was not to be seen. A lot of construction in areas limiting access to some animals, Tasmanian devils area was closed. We left somewhat disappointed. Still was wonderful to see some of the species.
The cruise was easy and timely. Cruises were clean and seem in good condition. Good ports. Highly recommend.
The hop on hop off cruise is a great way to get around Sydney, although it would be nice to have a few more/different stops. We all loved the Taronga zoo even though many animals were nor on display due to all of the construction.
Wonderful way to spend the day. Great value as tickets to TARONGA zoo were $59. I went to Watson Bay and hiked. Didn’t eat at the famous fish and chips restaurant but it looked and smelled delicious. Time schedule was tricky. Workers were able to guide.
Boat schedule can leave some waiting but very nice to have less crowds than the public ferry. Two days was more relaxed. Zoo fantastic. Watson Cove was very special. Might include stop at Shark Island next time.
Encounter with the Koalas. Very interesting set-up to see them very close. It was unfortunate that the cable car was no more in operation.
The zoo was excellent and transportation was fast. If the weather is nice the other places may be worth visiting. Unless you have a picnic or want to be on the beach, the hop/on really best to just view the places around the harbor.
Poor communication about wharf being closed, and poor directions for walking to Circular Quay from shore staff. Very disappointed. Ferry personnel were professional.
it was easy peasy to get on/off. plenty of seating. great experience. worth the cost and would do it again!
The Toronga Zoo was a very special place. There were animals from Australia but also from around the world.. You SHOULD get to the counter for tickets at about 9:00 a.m. as suggested. The next ferry is at 10:30! The food was not great at the food court and it was a madhouse at around 12:30. No place to sit after you get your food. Suggest you get to the zoo early and then take the ferry to Manli Beach where there are great restaurants. Your zoo ticket is good for the day so you can go back if you like! But Manli Beach is definitely worth the time for a visit.
We were impressed with the zoo, such a beautiful facility to wonder around and see the animals and the view of the city
Beautiful boat ride, really enjoyed the Sydney Harbour, skyline and bridge views. This tour is well worth the time and money spent. Hop on and off for two days gave us plenty of time to explore all the stops on the way including the torongo zoo. It’s a beautiful experience to see so many Koalas, kangaroos and wallabies. Boat ride is very relaxing. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic Zoo and Nice shows!! It's a great place to go with family and enjoy the weekend. The service is good and there are many animals there.
Lovely tour! Short ferry ride to each stop, where you could wander as you wished. Zoo was very nice and we also stopped at Watson’s Bay which was a cute small town.
We had to cancel our trip and it was late Friday so we did not get a chance to view the harbor and my special interest the Zoo.
Communication between Viator and Captain Cook Cruises was limited. I suggest you take the city ferry instead of this cruise to get around as they have limited shuttles and they do not wait around if they arrive early nor do you have any idea where they will dock hence why we missed 2 shuttles and were stuck on the Taronga Zoo island. The city ferries run much more often and you can't miss them--they don't sneak up on the pier and leave without warning. The Taronga Zoo was great but Watson's Bay was just okay. (besides Doyle's restaurant, not much else to do) and of course because of Captain Cook's limited schedule in ferries, we never made it to the other 2 locations of Manley Beach or Shark Island. You can easily do this tour on your own just using the city ferries.
Was lovely sitting on the top deck with the fresh air and beautiful scenery. Had a lovely time. We did taronga one day and just did a cruise around the harbour the next.
My daughter has down syndrome asthma and other issues. She needed a wheelchair . Unfortunately the zoo is virtually inaccessible but the worst most diabolical thing is that when we got to the bottom I had to bring her all the way back up to drop off the wheelchair. Thankfully she got out (with some persuasion) and walked up a bit otherwise I couldn't have managed . My advise to the zoo is let people drop off the chair at the bottom . My advise to people is bring your own chair or don't bother coming. Not only that some of the zoo was closed off and they have a real cheek charging to go to the top because the bottom entrance us closed.
The Zoo is a must see regardless of whether you have children or are in your own. The hop on hop off boat was nice but the return schedule was not very flexible in the morning. I bought the combined ticket but was only interested in seeing the zoo. The combination ticket probably wasn’t necessary for a day trip to only the zoo. There are plenty of ferry services that might have a more extensive drop off and delivery schedule.
