Very disappointing. I wonder why it is promoted as a lantern tour and a dressed guide, when there is no lantern, no dressed up guide, no atmosphere. Stories about Luna Park and the Bridge rather than the Rocks, which would have lots of interesting spooky stories. Some information was wrong. No attempt to use the atmopshere of the Rocks themselves.

Lovely walk around the rocks with history and interesting stories. Enthusiastic host that shared some good photos
I’ve done ghost tours in 3 different countries and this one was a bit lack luster. It was extremely loud that night and our guid a very nice man was too quiet so we could not hear him without getting uncomfortably close. So we missed a lot of him talking but we enjoyed the tour enough
Jake out friendly ghost expert toured us around the Rocks with an illuminating history lesson and a bit of comedy thrown in. Everyone in our group was looked after as a fellow ghosty! We had a great time
Such a great tour. Just enough spook to be interesting but nothing too scary. Would love to do this companies other tours xxx
I recently attended this tour with our family and, unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. We almost left the tour three times... The group size was quite large and combined with the guide’s soft voice, it made it difficult for many of us to hear and stay engaged throughout the experience. As a result, the storytelling and overall atmosphere didn’t quite land. We also found the content fairly basic and the locations quite tourist-focused. Based on previous reviews, we were expecting a more immersive experience with stops like Savannah Place, Nurses Walk or the first hospital site, which weren’t included. We’d suggest considering smaller group sizes or audio support and reviewing consistency in tour routes to better align with guest experiences. Oh & the lantern... that made a one minute appearance. Just to top off the disappointment.
The tour guide Warren was amazing. His knowledge and whit made the tour very informative and enjoyable. He even went above and beyond. He needs a medal
There were 5 of us and we left about 30 minutes into the tour, I’m surprised we lasted that long. The tour guide would not raise his voice so we could barely hear him and as he spoke in a monotone voice it made the extremely boring stories even more boring. He was also very passive aggressive in his dealing with the people on the tour and I don’t think anyone was impressed when he tried to get two very drunk young girls to join in. In five of us said it was the worst tour guide we have ever had and later on we noticed four other people from the group wandering around so we assume they also left the tour. Total waste of money.
Waste of money, little to no ghost talk and what talk happened was always in a very loud spot. Not worth the time or effort.
We'd like to express our thanks to Warren for the tour on Friday night. It was most interesting to hear about the ghost stories, particularly the events at Luna Park in the 1970s. The informative and informal nature of the tour added to our enjoyment of The Rocks.
Love it and the tour guide wazza lot of history in tall na wall da the rock and wazza went above and beyond great tour would do again
The tour guide Warren was very knowledgeable and entertaining we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was good value for the price.
Our guide was Georgia and she was amazing!!! Made it fun and spooky !!! Thanks again, Joe and Tori From the USA / Indonesia but on our way to Vietnam now. She will know who this is. Cheers !!!
Sadly, the tour did not happen. Arriving at the meeting place prior to appointed time, no one was around. Messaging the operator through the Viator messaging app 3 times, we received no response. Left 20 minutes after the stated start time. Just sad as I had one night in Sydney and couldn’t find another tour.
Great to see all the ins and outs of Sydney and visit spots I would not have known of. Guide was great. We live ghost tours
Went on Halloween and it was amazing. The guy was very knowledgeable. We toured through the rocks and got to see all these cool haunted spots, and there was a good amount of walking, but it was easy to walk and the site that we saw were super cool.
Was a fantastic experience for my 8 and 12 year olds as well as the adults. Suitably informative and scary but not too much. Wazza knows a lot of history of the area and touches base with the locals to keep updated about any changes to paranormal activity. Was a lovely evening, full of history, anecdotes and humour. A great way to experience Sydney, whether you're a local or a visitor. The crowd was small so it was perfect to hear Wazza and fit in as much as we could.
A great way to explore the Rocks and some of Sydney's dark stories. Our guide Warren was very knowledgeable and created a great atmosphere for the group.
The tour was about a history, the life and death of people that you will not learn through books. This gives the Rocks a true authenticity.
It was interesting. Unfortunately he spoke reasonably quietly for a group of 30 and if you couldn't keep up missed some bits but that was hard as the group was large. Overall it was good
Very interesting and full of interesting stories. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. She was very good at telling the stories that time flew by. I felt like I got a lot for the price. Good deal and interesting.
Even though Warren knew his history, this was not what we were quite expecting. We thought we would be taken into some old buildings while being told the stories. We found it more of a history walk in the dark.
My 12 yrs old son and I went on The Rocks Ghost Tour. It was amazing! Definitely captured something interesting on my mobile phone. Highly recommended.
A great tour of The Rocks area. Even if you don’t believe in ghosts you will enjoy hearing stories of yesteryear. Georgia was a great guide (she has a contagious giggle). The fact she organised fireworks for our tour …. Spook-tacular!!
Had a great tour. Wazza was informative and knowledgeable. Walk was at a great pace. Even had the back of my hand tingle under the bridge!!
We LOVED the tour we went on. Thor was our AMAZING guide. He had an incredible presence and a wealth of knowledge about the history and the lives of the people that lived and their spirit that remains at The Rocks. We learnt new and fascinating stories, we cannot wait to wander around The Rocks again and think of those that were there before us.
Nice history lesson, and entertaining. Lots of walking and stairs, so be aware that people with mobility issues may have trouble.
There was a lot of talking by the tour guide a lot of we think they still we think that we don’t know maybe this goes. Maybe there’s not didn’t get to look into anything. See anything go into any buildings. It was all just talking couple of stories I was very disappointed actually. It would’ve been much better to actually go into buildings going to rooms look through windows really set it up properly. There was at least 20 people in the group $40 ahead definitely not worth the money..
Great way to see different area of the Rocks. Not really spooky and walking level suitable for most.
Great history and ghost stories tour of early Sydney. Nice walk around The Rocks in the evening. Our 16 year old daughter really enjoyed the Ghost stories that kept her engaged in the history. The noise of the local traffic made it a little hard to hear at times but the guide was very good and made sure we could hear all the time. We would definitely recommend.
Olivia was fantastic I saw a different side to The Rocks which I loved. I would recommend it for a night out
My son (12) said it was scary! A fun night out and Georgia was a great storyteller and very generous with her time. The Rocks is a very atmospheric place for a nighttime walking tour. Bring a jacket!!
This was a fun night, following our lantern bearing guide thru back cobblestone alleys of the rocks as he described life of the mid-1800s. All while present day Saturday night celebrations raged all around us. It was fun to watch the younger kids faces light up when the conversation turned to ghostS
This tour was horrible. We couldn’t hear any stories. The tour itself was chaotic. People were leaving half way through. The tour guide almost seemed to be boring himself. He wouldn’t talk louder even though people asked him to. Extremely disappointed and I want my money back.
Informative tour. Loved learning about the haunted history of Sydney. Tour guide was great and a good story teller
Started ok but got really weird when guide got out some sticks and started talking to dead people. We lost interest and left tour early.
Wonderful tour! So much fun! Guide was great, lots of historical information. Highly recommend for teens that love the macabre, my daughter loved it!
We really enjoyed Thor’s stories of the history of the Rocks and ghostly murder stories. He was always telling us where the most haunted parts of The Rocks were and what to look out for. Unfortunately, we did not see any ghosts on the tour, but it was still very interesting, even though we didn’t go inside any locked buildings.
Thor was our guide. He was wonderful and kind. He has good stories to tell and points out where ghosts have been seen. He was a good host, and took the extra time to wait five minutes for a group that was confused about where to meet. Then also made a stop where people could use the toilet.
Thanks to Doc for a great tour. He had to be flexible due to how busy it was for Anzac day but didn't miss a beat. Some cool and spooky history about the Rocks area of Sydney. He even provided us help finding our way home and some restaurant recommendations.
Our tour guide, Georgia, was an engaging story teller. Her stories were interesting, the walk was at a nice pace, and the view at the look out was stunning. Our children, 11 and 13, joined us on the tour and both really enjoyed it.
Amazing tour the fireworks where beautiful but not normally on the tour. Story's where nicely told and the history was amazing to hear
Definitely not a spooky "ghost" tour if that's what you're after but a nice way to explore the back streets of The Rocks and hear some interesting stories of events that are part of The Rocks colourful history. The archaeological dig of the homes demolished during the years of the plague was an unexpected addition and probably worth a revisit in the daylight, if time permitted. Our guide Georgia was very enthusiastic and quite theatrical in her delivery of the tour. She allowed plenty of time at the photo-opportunity spots and kept the walking to an appropriate pace taking into consideration all of the group. There were some stairs involved and plenty of cobblestoned streets, but overall the tour should be manageable for both old and young.
The tour was recommended by a friend who visited recently. Glad we went and didn’t base it off how many stars. Loved the history that tied into the ghosts and of Sydney itself. Wasn’t sure what to expect but definitely different than your typical tourist attractions. Guide kept our attention and made sure the whole group stayed together… even the stragglers. Would recommend if you want to learn more unique things about Sydney and not deal with as many people like daytime trips.
Good stories, but not enough stops for the time and walking. It was drizzling, so maybe that impacted the walk.
Fun experience & different from a previous one we have been on. Good to hear more tours inside buildings are about to start eg the pub visits.
I loved the vibe of the whole thing it was a great experience to know all about history and deaths that happened in syndey and I'm hoping I see something like that one day too.
Great friendly guide. Shared some great historical information along with ghostly tales. This was a fantastic evenening and a great way to explore the rocks.
The history behind the stories. Seeing old parts of Sydney I wouldn't do by myself at night time. The guide was wonderful
Not recommended, tour guide walked to fast, left group to find own way, history stories were to long and boring,This tour is just a money maker, don’t waste your money on this tour.
