Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Sydney. Judith not only did the walking and talking tour. She also brought her historic photo album for us to get a better idea of how things were.
Our guide Judith was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic
Judith was a very enthusiastic guide. She is articulate and funny. I loved being guided through the maze of The Rocks and seeing the construction done by the convicts. Very informative tour.
A fabulous tour of The Rocks. Our guide Judith was full of fun and fascinating information about the history and architecture of the area. It was very clear that she was very proud of her city. 90 minutes passed by in a flash. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Very interesting tour! Judith is competent and very friendly. It was a real pleasure to participate and I strongly recommend this tour!
Judith did a phenomenal job leading the tour and told us so many things we never would have known if we went on our own.
The guide was very knowledgeable, lots of anecdotes and stories to bring everything to life. A very interesting way to learn about the Rocks
Interesting and informative- George has an amazing memory for dates and facts about the early history of Sydney
We recently participated in a tour with Judith, covering the historic Rocks area of Sydney, Australia. It was very interesting. Judith was a great guide. She is passionate, knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area and getting a closer look at buildings and other details that we'd miss if not on a tour. It was an hour well spent! It is an easy tour with mild distance and leisurely pace.
An absolutely fantastic tour with our absolutely fantastic guide George .it was so interesting and 1 1/2 hours just flew by Highly recommended
Easy walk with plenty of history shared. We only had a day in Sydney and this plus the Opera House and walking around on our own made for a great day! Our guide, Vickie, was fabulous!
Paul was very knowledgeable, and shared interesting facts during the walk. It was easy to book the experience, and follow the information online.
Vickie is a great tour guide, knowledgeable and with good, interesting anecdotes, history and other information. Gentle pace and good introduction to Sydney Rocks sites and history. A friendly way to get to know the area. Thank you.
Anne was a wonderful guide. We really enjoyed the tour.
Excellent time and Michael was so knowledgeable. Really impressed
This tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide George was exceptional at explaining the history and evolution of the Rocks area and Australia as a whole. Our party of five, all from the USA felt like we learned a whole different version of the narrative taught in US schools of how Australia was founded.
We really enjoyed our walking tour of The Rocks! It was a wonderful way to explore one of Sydney’s most historic neighborhoods. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating stories about the area’s history, architecture, and hidden gems. The tour was informative, enjoyable, and well-paced. We learned so much while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney!
Really enjoyed it. We are 5 mature travelers and felt 90mins was just right. It was so interesting, another hour would be good but standing more than 2hrs would be difficult. Our guide was knowledgeable.
The rocks tour was very informative about the history of how Sydney started as a British colony and what followed. Our tour guide, George, was very knowledgeable and accommodating to everyone in our group. The tour was just the right duration and we had a great time,
This was a wonderful tour of “The Rocks”. Anne was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. She encouraged questions. The walking route was the perfect amount as in not too strenuous. This area has a lot of restaurants to go with all the history which was wonderful to know. Well worth the money we spent and can’t thank Anne enough for a fun tour.
Good first start tour in Sydney. Learned history of Sydney and Australia. Just the right amount of walking.
Our guide Judith was truly charming and funny! We would not have seen all these spots on our own and learn a lot about how The Rocks and Sydney came to be historically. The group was small enough so we could follow her throughout the maze and its walkways and corridors. She carries a small speaker that was suitable and not tacky. Time flew by and she even gave us about 20 extra minutes of factoids. Comfortable walking pace. Suitable for any ages; maybe not people with walking or mobility issues (some areas are too narrow and uneven). So this tour as soon as you are in Sydney. It will give you an idea of what and where to hit next.
Brilliant tour hosted by Judith who was an excellent guide. Not too long or too short, just perfect for a flavour of the history of Sydney. Judith was a brilliant story teller and her passion & enthusiasm was contagious. We have toured Australia for the past 3 weeks & this tour was probably the best. Don’t miss it - thanks Judith
Very knowledgeable guide, who spoke clearly and loud enough to hear. Gave recommendations after tour on where to walk across the bridge- worked great, and yes and found a great restaurant in the other side.
Great experience with excellent & knowledgeable guide - George, who made the tour interesting & fun.
Jon was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and interesting. We learned a lot! The pace of the tour was good and we got to see a lot of The Tocks.
Very educational and enjoyable. Anne did a great job as guide.
The Rocks Tour was a great way to learn about the history of early settlers in Australia and how Sydney's development began.
It was a very interesting trip. The guide was very well informed. She had a collection of pictures that were displayed at each. Stop to give a sense of what it was like in history. Definitely recommend a guided tour. This one is excellent.
Tour guide George had amazing knowledge of Sydney. His style was welcoming, engaging. Highly recommended.
A good walking tour is my favourite way to start learning about an interesting place, and this tour fulfilled all my hopes. George our guide was knowledgeable, interesting, warm and funny. He told his stories of Sydney with passion and a beautiful sense of humanity, linking ideas of then with the events of now. Showing us how easily history repeats. I loved this tour.
We did this Tour on our 1st day in Sydney to get our bearings & reacquainted ourselves with The Rocks and its history & beauty. Our guide Judith was delightful and really knows the history of this City. Highly recommend this Tour
Great tour of the The Rocks. Very informed tour regarding the history of The Rocks and the development of Sydney.
George was welcoming and hospitable in his approach, showcasing Sydney history with energy and knowledge. While he delivered on the basic history, he excelled at holding the attention span by asking questions and therefore helping us to absorb the history better. All in all a wonderful 2 hours and highly recommended.
Great guide Dee who was very interesting and informative.
I wanted to know a little more of the history and early days of this city and thought this was a good place to “scratch my itch “. Booked the night before the tour started at 10.30 although you need to get there at 10.15 so they can get everyone together and set off at the time stated, which I am pleased it did . There are some hilly streets and steep steps along the route and some uneven surfaces to encounter along the route but “Hey !” It’s a history tour it’s going to be ! What else would one expect?. Our guide was Paul, he was very personable, friendly and professional. He was clearly in his presentation (English language) and concise . Had I not had a guide , yes I may have found these places and walked past some of them . Would I have realised the significance of the sites or the history? No, I would not. In summary it was a good way to spend the 90 mins on a lovely sunny day and in my opinion value for money.
We had a great tour today with George. George guided us through the rocks at a good pace with lots of interesting stories and facts. The time flew by. George is a great tour guide.
Great tour - very informative about the history of Australia in general and The Rocks specifically. George was a great guide, made the tour very interesting and encouraged questions. I was very impressed that George remembered so many people’s names!
Wonderful tour of the Rocks with highly knowledgeable and personable guide, Anne. It really helps you to understand how Australia was developed by the British.
Very interesting to learn the history of The Rocks. Out guide Stan was very knowledgeable and took interest in the group
The tour was a very helpful introduction to the Rocks area, where we were staying. The guide provided a lot of information about the history and settlement of the area, and he made it interesting. He encouraged people on the tour to go back to the local museum on our own, which my husband and I did the following day.
Our guide was great! She was always clear about safety and expectations. She had a very upbeat personality and provided much information about building the bridge and the city
I enjoyed this tour, very informative.
