Scott was fantastic! From the time he picked us up to the time he dropped us off, he was professional, accommodating, and eager to share his love of Sydney with us. He’s a an attentive driver; we always felt safe in his car and with him driving. He took great care to take us to fantastic scenic spots to see different views and perspectives, including the harbor bridge, opera house, skyline, beaches, navy base, historic buildings, and more. We had a delicious lunch at Bondi Beach and enjoyed a courtesy drink at 1 of 4 “oldest” pubs in Sydney. Scott shared so much history, culture, stories, and experiences with us during our day. Thank you for sharing Sydney with us.
Scott was an absolutely fantastic host for this trip. For a 32C spring day we certainly had summer sun and the water provided certainly came in handy. Everything ran extremely smoothly and the contact made the night before about possible changes due to city closures was appreciated. This is a very large city and this tour was a great way to get oriented, especially, if like me, it's your first time in the area. I learned a lot from Scott - from the history of the area to fun little tid bits about certain buildings he is clearly very knowledgeable. I didn't have any particular sites I wanted to see more than others but the option to customise the day was always there. I can be a bit weary of doing solo private tours but Scott was fun and personable which really made the day go by quickly. The SUV was clean and comfortable and I felt right at home hopping in and out all day. Truly a pleasure! (Bring a hat, that sun is rough)
Enjoyed our private tour of Sydney. Our Tour Guide Scott was very knowledgeable, great guide, a true gentleman, took us to so many places around Sydney. Truly a wonderful experience.
Scott was our guide for both the Sydney Tour and the Blue Mountain tour. I highly recommend it, Scott is a very nice person to talk to, knowledgeable and professional. He is very passionate as well, will take you to great spots and help avoid crowded places. His wife Julia helped us all the way through the booking, always available to answer any question. Thank you Scott & Julia, you made our trip unforgettable.
Scott was great. Very knowledgeable of Sydney and we went to places you will not find in large bus tours. He was accommodating to our request and made sure we were all (three couples with different interest) happy with the tour. He took great pictures that he sent to us and ended with a great drink at Sydney’s oldest tavern. He was on time and we never felt rushed and was flexible to make sure we saw the items on our most see list. If you are doing this tour you should request Scott!
This being my dream vacation I wanted to see and experience more than just what I could find online. So booking a private tour was a good idea right? With SPDT and Julia I can say ABSOLUTELY YES! Julia arrived on time at our hotel in an impeccably clean suv that was spacious and comfortable. We immediately requested coffee and she graciously accommodated our caffeine needs. 🙂 We then proceeded on the drive/walk tour of basically everywhere such as Kings Crossing, North and South Points, Bondi and Manly Beach's and much more from local private spots to other tourist spots. We didn't go to the Opera House on OUR request because the night before we already had done a tour/dinner/Opera (Carmen). Julia was both knowledgeable of the history and roads (seemingly knowing all small side roads regardless of area. Impressive in such a large metro area) and culture and social places of the greater Sydney area. Besides the awesome tour Julia was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with and we had such fun listening and sharing life stories as we spent the day taking in the city. I know people value reviews and some times the glowing ones come off artificial, all I can say is this is my bucket list vacation and I could not have asked for a better private tour. Thank you so much personally Julia for the tour and we wish you and SPDT nothing but the very best!
Before boarding our cruise in the port of Sydney, we booked a day tour. It was very good! We got to see quite a bit of Sydney and surrounding area. Had a lovely lunch in Bondi Beach. A tour ending beer at the oldest tavern in Sydney. Our tour guide was excellent. Very informative and fun to talk with. Only two things and I think if I had thought to ask, he would have accommodated us. We didn’t get out of van at Opera house to walk around. Just quickly drove by. Secondly, we didn’t make any stops downtown. Feel like we missed a lot just driving through. But, like I said: I didn’t ask. Next time I will do my home work and consult on the itinerary. All in all , our experience was great and we would recommend Sydney Private Day Tours!
If you want a personalized tour of Sydney, this is it! Not only does Scott take you to Sydney's iconic spots, he will also show you some local spots, which have some of the best views of the city, or the beaches. For a first timer in Sydney, I'm glad I took this tour, and highly recommend you as do as well, to get a good layout of the city and then explore it on your own afterwards.
We had booked a Blue Mountains tour with Scott and were promptly refunded our money as soon as it became evident that the tour would have to be cancelled because of fires that had spread into the area. I especially wanted to visit the Featherdale Wildlife Park and asked if we could combine that with the Sydney tour. Scott accommodated this request, and we had a great day exploring Sydney. In addition to the animal park, Scott showed us Sydney's iconic sights as well as several of it's diverse neighborhoods. He was waiting for us at the cruise terminal when our ship arrived and tailored the entire day according to our preferences. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience in Sydney and left with a very positive view of this beautiful city.
Another great day spent with Scott (I also done the night tour the previous evening). I visited everywhere that was on my list - my favourite being Bondi beach of course! Scott was so patient with me whilst I spent way to long in a shop trying on Bondi wear and trying to decide on souvenirs for the family. He was also so very patient with me requesting photos to be taken, which I now have plenty to choose from and many still to sort through haha. A private tour provides so much more flexibility, no rushing back to the coach or waiting for others - it was completely my time and I held the reins as such. Scott let me completely take control of where we went and how long we stayed. Amazing experience and most definitely something that everyone needs to experience. Thank you again Scott :)
When I travel solo, I always look for a great tour. I've taken tours all over the world, and this one is absolutely top-notch. Scott's knowledge of the city, patience, and flexibility made the tour great. Don't hesitate to book!
We did a tour of Sydney with Scott and it was an amazing experience! From 3 months ago when I booked the tour to the day of the tour, experience with this company was very pleasant. Communication is excellent, which is always an indicator of what kind of customer service you'll receive. Scott showed us around Sydney and in just one day,we were able to see over 10 places on our bucket list! This is not doable on your own. Also, we did not feel rushed as he let you spend as much time as you want at a location...bc it's a private tour, it's very flexible. We had a wonderful time with Scott and will recommend this tour and this company at a heartbeat! Our 3 teenagers kept saying how much fun the tour was! They are expanding to London in the future so we will book with them again in 2021! Thank you Scott and Julia for the unforgettable experience! Sincerely, Grace from Chicago
Scott picked us up from our cruise ship right on time, and later dropped us off at our Airbnb. He was full of interesting information and stories, plus he brought excellent weather! We got to stop at many little private coves and overlooks, and Scott took pictures of us and sent them the same evening via e-mail. We had an hour on our own at Manly Beach for lunch. Being a custom tour, we also wished to get a snack at Bondi Beach, and... "no worries, mate." The scheduled end time was 3 pm, but we got an extra 30 minutes without any pressure to hurry. Scott also gave us snacks along the way, and chocolate biscuits when he dropped us off. If you want the extra-special way to see Sydney in a day, we would recommend Scott and Julie.
Scott, our tour guide showed us an outstanding and comprehensive experience in Sydney. He showed and explained every point of interest in the city. We had time for a meal at Harry's, some shopping time and a cocktail at one of the oldest pubs in Sydney. He even took pictures of us and we are eagerly awaiting them. We were returned to our cruise ship in plenty of time. What a great day and a very professional guide.
Great tour. Julie is terrific. Highly recommend. Saw all of Sydney and guide was a fifth generation resident. Loved her stories. I cannot imagine a better tour to the city in one day.
I was on a 12 hr layover in Sydney and decided to check out the highlights of the city, in what time I had, with Sydney Private Day Tours. Scott picked me up from the airport in his very nice van - I immediately tried to get in the driver's seat since I was not used to the passenger seat being on the left side of the car. :) Scott took me on a wonderful tour that included multiple suburbs/neighborhoods of Sydney, several incredibly beautiful beaches (including some off the beaten path), and the key sites in downtown (Sydney Opera House, the Rocks area, Harbour Bridge). One of the highlights of the tour was the lunch on Manly beach - Scott and I grabbed fish and chips from a takeaway place nearby and ate lunch on the beach, chatting and watching surfers catching waves. The whole tour was a delight - Scott is a great person to talk to, he is very knowledgeable about Sydney, and the pace of the tour was my choice. Even though I was in Australia sort of by accident this time, Scott's tour convinced me that I need to return to properly see the country. I plan on asking Sydney Private Day Tours to help me more of Australia when I return.

We had a wonderful day and our host Scott was amazing. It was Australia day so there were a few challenges. Scott was very knowledgeable and was able to take us to a lot of amazing places for excellent views of Sydney, Bondi Beach, Manley Beach, Harry's for lunch and even a party at the Harbour Bridge. We were served fruit, biscuits and juice by the water and were given a history lesson on some of the nearby buildings. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanted to see Sydney.

This tour was everything I wanted it to be ! The pick up and returning me back to my hotel set this tour apart from others, and the option to customize was fantastic. Julia my guide was gracious and the city was beautiful. All in all just the best.
