Very disappointed in this. The schedule was very hard to understand and wasn’t truly a hop on hop off. Would not recommend.

Was not good, there itinerary sheet was very confusing and not enough consistent stops at each place we ended up only getting off at two because of pickup times.
Great value but terrible advance information. Also, paid for audio accompaniment and it didn’t work
Very useful for getting around the harbour. Amazing views and photos of the Opera House, and it’s very convenient if you’re not very familiar with public transport and the timetables.
hood price with zoo invluded hop of is good to choose dave some money
Not worth it; do you self a favor and use the public ferries. More convenient, more flexible, on time, reliable,
First check out the city ferries before you buy this. We bought this not knowing city ferries were available and travel the same routes for cheaper. We didn’t need the hop on and off feature. Only wanted to go to manly beach and back. We could spent a lot less money.
Easy access & schedule was easy to use.On time at all stops
The crew was knowledgable and friendly. Stops were easy to hop on and hop off and we had enough time in each location to explore. I highly recommend staying on the boat for the full tour and listening to all the points of interest along the way. Fascinating!!
It was misleading as when we picked up our tickets it seemed to us the zoo was included. It was not and the tram was not working and there were no buses so long hike. We were worn out by the time we climbed to the top and back down.
Ensure you have the latest timetable, then all is in good order - on time departures and arrivals, friendly efficient staff
This is a great way to combine a ferry ride to beautiful Manly Beach and Hop On Hop Off around town.
Booked a 2 day ticket which was great. Timetable given at kiosk so can plan which stops you want to get off and on easily. Staff very helpful. Lovely to get out of City and explore other places. Loved Manly. Views on approaching harbour on return were outstanding and highly recommend this trip.
Excellent value for the day. Ticket Office were very helpful and explained the best hops for our hours. Would recommend 👌
Nice way to see the sights of Sydney! Convenient dock close to the train.. Enjoyed the different stops, very enjoyable day!!
The timetable is in readable. Get help or a degree in Ozzie timetable reading! Apart from that an ok day
This is a great way to experience beautiful Sydney Harbour. We found it helpful to view the schedule in advance so we could plan our day and see all the locations we wanted. This is the 3rd time we've done thus and will do again on our next visit.
This hop on hop off service gave us the flexibility we were looking for. We had wander around Watsons Bay and Manly. The added bonus was some great views of the Sydney skyline.
It was NOT worth the price. The way the schedule is created, you would need to study it ahead of time and plan where you want to hop off and spend time and hop back on again. Also, an app is required for the information about the different stops. I’m not going to download an app just for that. It’s cheaper to get an Opal pass and take a ferry and go to the location(s) you want to visit.
Where the hop-on locations are. We spent half a morning searching for a hop on location. Once we found one, the personnel were friendly and helpful
Friendly and fast and economical to get all over Sydney. Wonderful inviting experience. We saw many of Sydney s famous sights, near to great restaurants, the theater at the casino, and exploration of many parts of the town, Christmas market, pubs, two days on this "big bus" had it all!.
Very easy to use the voucher. The HOHO ferry operated throughout the day and we were given suggestions of where to hop off. Friendly staff . Good value.
This was okay! The redemption desk staff were excellent. The ferry staff were staff except the young lady who secured the boat - she was cheerful and welcoming! I wish the Description has noted the 2-day pass had to be used consecutive days and had noted that not all ferries went to all the port stops! As we did not get to effectively use our tickets - only one day and not all stops!
This was part of our Big Bus Hop on Hop Off ticket.. this cruise line has operated for over 55 years in many capacities.. they offer dining cruises, whale watching cruises and much more .. they depart from circular quay and Darling Harbour..
We have used on/off buses that run every 30-40 minutes. The ferry does not run very frequently and sometimes goes from one stop then back to the same stop it just left. A lot of time between ferries especially in the afternoon. The water is rough around Manly.
Make sure hop on hop off is best option for you. Sydney Ferries go to more ports and fares are covered by transit Opal Card.
Tour was right next to where we docked on our Carnival cruise. Easy and on time. Many places to hop on and hop off.
I loved the ability to see Sydney this way and was so happy I made the last minute decision to book this as I got to see Manly and Watson Bay and they were both lovely locations!
Easy access beautiful Veiws and lovely spots to sit up top or inside to see Sydneys landmarks .smooth ride and blue sky’s made this a great day .
Very convenient way to travel and sight see other areas of Sydney. The boats are punctual and comfortable. We really enjoyed exploring and shopping at Manly beach. Did I mention, this pass is wayyyy cheaper than the local public boat. I spent $50 one way across the harbor w the local boat. With this hop on hop off u can stop wherever u want as long as u want and not worry about paying for each trip. Well worth just as a tour of Sydney Harbor but even better with the stops.
Very convenient to many spots in the harbour including Manly Beach and the Zoo. Boats left at the exact time on the schedule. Stop by their booth at Circular Quay for exact departure schedule- it varies by day of the week. It might be a bit more expensive than the ferries but worth it for a first time visitor.
Very disappointed with Captain Cook Cruises: their schedule listed ferries running from Circular Quay from 08:00 onward, but their ticket office wasn't even open until nearly 10:00 AM! The entire line of tourists waiting for that ticket office to open grew to a ridiculous size, and the inability to travel at their scheduled times threw off our entire planned itinerary for Watsons Bay and Manly that day. We ended up giving up and took the local fast ferry instead to Watsons Bay; as a plus, it runs on the Opal system so there's a maximum limit on how much we would have to pay for travel that day. However, in order to get to Manly from Watsons Bay, we still had to take a private ferry and that afternoon, it ended up being with Captain Cook Cruises. Payment was simple by credit card. The trip was a bit off schedule (late) but the arrival time was close enough to the schedule. (The trip home to Circular Quay, we were able to take a local fast ferry again from Manly.)
This harbor boat ride was perfect for us. We got great views of the Opera House and Harbor bridge. We got off at one stop and had lunch at a waterside restaurant. We enjoyed a nice lunch and enjoyed the water front marina. We finished the day with a stop a Tanonga Zoo. The boat was a great way to see the harbor sights as well as get around.
Easy to locate and exchange voucher for ticket. Comfortable ferry and ran on time. Easy to get on and off and things to do at each location.
The timetable was very limited and we couldn't go to all the destinations as this was not on offer. I felt a bit et down by that. The beaches were beautiful and the sun made it for us
Nice ride but no commentary on what you are seeing. Sold like On Off bus but has no commentary. Simply a ferry ride. Other better option
We missed the whole thing. The date was not changed and I made the reservation for Feb. 1, 2025. Unfortunately, we did not even arrive in Australia until Feb. 7
The tour was exactly as I had expected. It was very convenient, especially the two day tour, to visit the places I had always wanted to see. Very comfortable very enjoyable.
My wife and I had pre-booked the 2-day 'Hop On Hop Off (HOHO)' and, in truth it wasn't worth it for several reasons! 1. Expensive; 2. No commentary from captain or crew (and surely this could be built into their role)! You are expected to download it and that is, for most people, a generally disappointing experience! It also discriminates against those who haven't a smart phone! 3. The public feffies are considerably cheaper! 4. One day is really plenty of time to see what is a relatively small amount of places if interest. Overall, what we got was simply an expensive water taxi.
Poor value for money. Tickets not checked and heard others saying it was a "free commute" between watsons bay and circular quay because they chose this ferry in order to avoid paying for a ticket on the commuter ferry. Ferries didn't consistently run to timetable and sometimes too full so had to wait for another or pay to use commuter ferry. Audio guide was rubbish so I'd advise using commuter ferry to explore.
Ideal for the short time we had in Sydney. We chose to get off at the Zoo for a couple of hours and that went very smoothly. Much better than a bus or taxi.
The regular ferry goes to the same places that Captain Cook Hop On Hop Off goes. And guess what? You can hop on and off the ferry too! For a fraction of the price! The only feature that sets Captain Cook apart is it is less crowded and there is commentary. The commentary, though, is only available on your smartphone after downloading it! Complete waste of time and money. Take the ferry.
Use the general ferries instead of the captain cook far more regular, and go from the the correct wharf.
You can do pretty much the same trip on the public ferry for a $1!! Paid for this in advance but wish I had waited and just brought a ferry ticket for $1 (51p in GBP) got the cruise to Watsons Bay and had lunch and then there wasn’t another ferry for ages so ended up pay the $1 to come back in the public ferry, basically paid out all that extra money for nothing. Feel slightly ripped off. All public transport is a $1 per journey.
There very few stops, for me the only worth going to was the zoo. You do get to see the beautiful downtown area as you're traveling on the boats.
Part of our group Accidentally got on the wrong ferry and the other half told the steward and he just said I don’t care i will just charge them. We were on holidays and didn’t realise
Easy to get to and absolutely stunning views! It is a must do, very cost effective. I got to see Sydney from the water which is pretty spectacular!
Took this cruise primarily to visit Manly island. Was very disappointed with the pick up location. Pier was taken over with local teens, throwing food and trash on the pier. We had to wait in the mess to be picked up. I know the cruise wasn’t responsible for the kids, but a better wharf should be located. Manly express boat would have been a better option.
Friendly staff, well organized operation. But it is just a boat ride. No narrative or explanation of what you are seeing. They have a QR code for an app that should have given audio, but I couldn't get it to work nor could the others seated near me.
It’s just a ferry. No more, no less. There are also city public transportation ferries, usually at lower cost.
