Before reviewing the tour, we must address the excellent communication we received in planning our Sydney tours with Julia and Scott. The knowledge they shared with us was always timely and incredibly valuable in helping us determine how we wanted to spend our limited time in Sydney. Their flexibility in constructing a customized and personalized experience for us was greatly appreciated. On to the tour! Scott arrived on time and eager to start the day. We started our day with some city sightseeing and landed at our first stop near Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. The views back to the Opera House and Bridge are unbelievable. We were fortunate to have great weather and clear skies for the tour, which helped our inferior photo-taking capabilities. We then moved on to check out Bondi Beach, but on the way, Scott showed us some fantastic places with wonderful backstories, i.e., Harry's Cafe De Wheels. We also worked our way through some of the awesome neighborhoods of Sydney before landing at Bronte Beach for a brief leisurely coastline walk. From there, we went to our final morning stop, Bondi Beach, soaking in the incredible views. We booked a Sydney Opera House tour that afternoon, so Scott dropped us off near the facility. Julia provided us with several dining recommendations for lunch (all of which were GREAT). We can not stress enough what a wonderful tour this is for anyone seeking to get some city highlights or a specific set of places they want to see. We are confident you will receive superb communication/attention and have a remarkable experience.

Our private half-day tour with Sydney Private Day Tours is something you need to do if you are short on time! We had just come back from our cruise to NZ and only had a half-day to see some of city's most famous (and not so famous) highlights. Our guide Scott, was very professional, accommodating, informative and an all around nice guy! He tailored our experience to the things that were important to us, and also shared some sites that only locals would know. It was the perfect end to our trip. I would highly recommend Scott and Sydney Private Day Tours to anyone!

Nicholas was very pleasant but it was pouring rain, so that kinda put a quirk in the works. He was about 25 minutes late and his kid had spilt popcorn all over the inside of his car. I had previously seen most of the sites when I’d been in Sydney a couple of weeks prior, so didn’t want to walk in the rain and see stuff I had already seen. He did take me up to Bondi and Manly, which was nice, and I got to see the bay and Opera House from a different vantage point. He did offer to take me where I needed to go after the tour, but the weather wasn’t looking too good. Would have been better if the weather had been nice. I only did it as I thought there may have been more places to see which weren’t on the regular tourist route, or I would have cancelled. After reading prior reviews, it appears a great way to “hit the high spots”, but it would have been nice if they had a back up tour when you’ve already been to the gardens, chair and Opera House.

We spent a fantastic afternoon with Julia. We did a half day tour of Sydney and enjoyed every minute. Julia was born in Sydney and traces her ancestors back to the early days of Sydney’s prison colonies. As such she has wonderful stories about the history of Sydney. She took us all around the city and some of the major beaches. I feel like we have a new friend now in Sydney and would definitely recommend her and her company to anyone looking for a very personal and professional private tour.

If you would like to learn about the history as well as see the beautiful city of Sydney this is the perfect tour! Julia picked us up from our hotel and treated us like family as she introduced us to her home town. We had a tour the previous day with a group and Julia was happy to organize our time together based on the small amount of the city we had already seen. I wish we would have scheduled a full tour with her. We hope to return to Australia soon and will definitely contact this company for another private tour!

We really enjoyed this private half day tour of Sydney! He picked us up at our hotel, drove us to all the highlights, including Bondi Beach which was outside the city. He let us linger wherever we wanted and took fabulous photos of us!

We began our adventure in Sydney with Scott. He picked us up at our hotel right on time. Scott was quite knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the afternoon. We finished our tour at a local, historic pub that we discovered might be haunted. We enjoyed seeing Sydney through Scott’s eyes and definitely recommend his tour! Scott was excellent. He was on time, exactly where he said he would be. We talked the whole time. He took us to all of the important sites and gave us a lot of history. We will definitely use them again when we come back. Highly recommended.

My friend and I had a very short time in Sydney, Australia and we wanted to make the most of it. We booked the 1/2 day Sydney tour on the day we were leaving so that we could check out of the hotel and see the sights before flying out. Scott gave us the perfect blend of tourist spots, locals’ hangouts and beautiful neighborhoods! Not only did we have a great tour guide but he took photos for us too! Scott was kind enough to tweak the schedule to accommodate our needs and made certain we arrived at the airport on time! We had a lovely 1/2 day tour with Scott. He showed us all around Sydney. We felt like good friends by the end. We highly recommend. They also do private tours to the Blue Mountains, etc. We will hire them next time we come back to do that.

Wonderful tour with Julia. I would highly recommend her tour and services. She is a native of the area and it shows. She knows exactly what visitors need to see and maximizes your time. Very detailed and thorough information with rich historical insight. A personal tour was just what we needed after a long flight. WOW!!! What an incredible tour this was!!!! Scott picked us up from the cruise terminal and showed us all around Sydney. He even took pictures of our family at several iconic sites and sent them to me once we got home! Scott and his tour are FIRST CLASS....all the way!!! He was also happy to let us drop our bags off at the hotel, check in, then drove us to our show at the Opera House at the end of our tour, which was so helpful!!! Thanks again Scott!! Had a brilliant extra long morning with Julia, meaning we were collected at 9 and not back at our cruise ship until 2. Julia gave us a very comprehensive tour of Sydney and the environs. We saw the most famous places plus the houses and districts where the rich and famous live. The tour was tailored to our needs which involved little walking because of my fathers hip problems but we saw very special places and little coves and viewing points we wouldn't have seen without someone who has a vast knowledge of the area. The itinerary was completely flexible even on the day. I would absolutely recommend contacting this company to make the most of even a limited amount of time in Sydney

We cannot recommend this tour enough! Julia picked us up from our hotel in a great vehicle and took us on a fascinating tour of Sydney, including many lesser well known areas & vantage points. Although the city was packed with tourists, Julia guided us with great professionalism & made our tour feel very personal & hassle free. Julia’s historical knowledge is second to none & we soaked up all the information about the buildings and people. The gift at the end was a lovely touch.

This tour exceeded all of my expectations and it was a great use of your time if you want to see all of Sydney in a short amount of time ! I was traveling to Sydney for work by myself for the first time and I only had one day to see all of Sydney. Both Scott and Julia were so accommodating and let me know that the tour could be customized to my preferences! Scott picked us up at White Bay Cruise Terminal on time, loaded our luggage and off we went! Scott was a good driver and the vehicle was so comfortable and easy to get in and out. We were driven to many venues/sites all with knowledgeable commentary from Scott. He was attuned to what interested us as well, making the tour unique from others we have taken. We would definitely book with them again. Very good value for your money. We highly recommend them!

Two of us wanted an easy tour. No bus. No other tourists. Little or no walking. Julie was perfect. Small vehicle. She’s a history buff with generations of ancestors in Sydney. She knows all the secrets and special places, and she knows all about Sydney and Australia. Certainly one of my best tours ever!

Julia was right on time picking me up in an air conditioned luxury SUV commencing a half day of fun and history. Visited many sites including some only a local would know and given the true history behind them. A truly excellent and personal experience hearing local history from a native whose love of their city shows! Will be booking with them again.

Booking was very easy and Julie was very responsive. It was lovely to be met at the airport by Scott after an exhausting flight. The comfortable vehicle easily accommodated my husband's knee rover and the itinerary-- hit all major sites with adjustments for mobility issues. Scott is very well informed--kept us awake and interested and dropped us off at the hotel and assisted with luggage. The parting gift was a lovely touch--but now we will crave Tim Tams for life!

Scott was punctual and was kind of enough to help us with our bags. He drove us to different areas of Sidney. I loved the Bondi Beach where we drank coffee. Scott then took us to some places where real estate was expensive. This was the affluent area of Sidney. I love the blooming trees and the wonderful parks and beaches. We took nice photos and ate fresh muffins on the park bench. He gave us an extended couple hours to see more of Sidney. This made it special. He even gave us a gift before we boarded the Celebrity. My heart melted and I left him a big tip. The Harbor with the Sidney Bridge and the Opera House in the background was the most awesome view of all. He services were exceptional, courteous, and friendly. My only regret was I should have flown in early for a full -day tour with the best Tour Guide in the world. I booked this tour for my elderly parents and my teenage daughter to see as much as possible of Sydney in such a little time. Firstly I contacted Julia, and she was accommodating with departure time and customising the tour to meet their interests to see what they really wanted. They were so impressed with Scott's knowledge of Sydney and it's history and amazing locations that he took them to see and with his caring manners and patience. <p>This was by far the best tour I have had. It was my first time by myself with a tour guide. Scott was awesome. Made me feel right at home, and took me places a tour bus would not be able to go. I was able to stay as long as I wanted at places, and got to see everything I had hoped for. I take alot of Viator tours, and have found them to be really good, but I liked this the best. Ask for Scott. Picked me up at cruise terminal and got me back with no problem.</p>
