We lucked out because it was a weekday and very little people on the boat so it fence intimate. The staff were all very polite and friendly. The charcuterie board was delicious and the drinks did the job. The sights were gorgeous and the boat itself was very nice and great size so I didn’t get motion sickness at all. Highly recommend overall.

Maybe my expectation was too high (and I honestly do not remember the price) but we received a single cocktail each (choice between 4) and a choice of house wine (Sparkling, Wine, or Red) or beer (Pale Ale or Lager). The charcuterie board included five pieces of salami, about the same portion of prosciutto, about 5-6 small wedges of cheese maybe 2 hard cheeses like cheddar, 1 blue, 1 Camembert, 1 brie, strawberry jam, some mushrooms and olives, 4 crostini, and about a dozen crackers. A nice entree to share between two if you intend to go out for dinner afterward. I think it would be more suited to a large group of 4-6 people so you can converse while partaking to keep conversation flowing. There were other groups with other packages, which makes sense to utilise the space but it increased my disappointment with this package. The trip around the harbour was nice, the water was calm and the sun was stunning that day. The service staff only attended if called upon so if you liked to be left alone you'll enjoy it but if you want to buy more drinks then you'll have to wave someone down.
This was our last activity before leaving Sydney, and it was a great choice. Having visited many areas around the Harbour, it was a great way to end our trip by seeing the sights from the water perspective. The drinks and charcuterie were the perfect touch to a lovely cruise and stay in Sydney.
Watching the sunset over Sydney Harbour from the water was simply stunning. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Sydney — it was definitely a highlight for both of us!
Very nice cruise around the harbor. Good views from the water to the Opera House and the bridge. 2 hours is too much and trip will be better with non stops.
Was wonderful. Exceeded our expectations. Weather and views were perfect and the team was great on the boat
Everyone says you must do a harbour cruise in Sydney and they are right. It's a great way to appreciate the landscape and geography of the area with a new perspective. The only thing I would change on this cruise is to opt for a live commentary. This is only because as visitors to Australia we didn't have data on our phones so we didn't download the commentary. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience.
We booked for the 5pm Cocktail cruise which included 1 cocktail (from a choice of 4), a house beer, wine or soft drink to follow and a small cheese board. All other drinks were an additional charge. We wanted to order other food to accompany the cheese board but unfortunately it wouldn't allow it through the app (which you have to scan a QR code to access). While you are allocated a section hostess, ours went for a dinner break and couldn't ask him to order extra foods which is not a big deal but we would have liked to. However, it was a lovely simple cruise around the harbour, the staff were nice and easy to talk to. Wonderful photo opportunities as it was evening, we had all the wonderful sunset colours. Thank you.
I took the sunset cruise and I had really the worst experience ever with their service. I was being help by an Indian girl ( I did not get her name ) and she did not gave our table any foods at all, but other tables were being served. And I had asked couple of times, and the food came very late….Then I called another waiter named RYAN, even he talked back to me saying that it’s not up to the waiter, but up to the kitchen……I did not like his attitude and his words….He should be more train how to handle any customers. Then the cruise director ( her name is IDA — I don’t know if that’s her real name ). She did not even apologized and only gave a compliment of 2 plates of french fries. Thank you very much for the compliments but I was already unhappy with the trip as they treated us unfairly. Hopes they all get a warning ( even fired ) from the company, so in the future, it won’t happen to other customers. I had been email this issue to their company directly, but they only replied two times ( twice ) with unclear answers and afterwards they just ignored me with no reply at all. My complaint was taken by DEEPA ( Reservations Manager Sydney Harbour ). Thank you
It could have been wonderful. The staff was friendly and the drinks were good, but the ship was infested with cockroaches. My husband and I killed two, but saw them running all around. Yuck.
The ride was a perfect way for my elderly father to view the harbor without having to walk. It was a nice relaxing family activity. The charcuterie board and the complimentary cocktails were of good quality and tasted great!
They should know that it sets off from Darling Harbour and then arrives in Circular Quay. It eventually sets off and arrives back in Darling Harbour. I would have like information about where we were at any given time. Staff were fine & brought our charcuterie and drinks in good time. It didn't get off to the best start, due to an announced medical incident. Overall a more hands on service would have improved the experience.
Going at night was wonderful. Super to see all of the lights and you can easily see how far back the city goes. The buildings in Sydney are iconic!
This was a very nice cruise. The charcuterie board and drinks were good, the seating was nice, and the views were lovely. I only wish that they had lowered the lights when it got darker so that we could see outside a little better.
First time at night doing a harbour cruise. It was so beautiful and relaxing… thoroughly enjoyed it!
The cruise itself was nice although the decor of the ship was a bit dated. Also felt a bit ripped off with the limitations on drinks with only being able to order 1 cocktail per person (out of the 2 drinks per person inclusion) which was made worse by the fact that the cocktails were also not particularly good and tasted watered down
You have a choice of cocktails for your 1st included drink; not a one size fits all. I had the Margarita and it was top notch. The second included drink is a choice of 2 beers or 3 types of wine so something for every taste. The charcuterie board was also top notch; much better than I expected and definitely enough for 2 people. You are assigned a table but are free to walk around; go up on deck to see the sights with your drink and then come back down to enjoy your charcuterie. No worries about something being taken away while you’re gone. We had a beautiful clear, warm evening so spent a lot of time on the upper deck enjoying the skyline. You do have to download the narration if you want to hear about the different sights along the way but that was actually a plus so you don’t have to listen to an annoying narration over the intercom. Instead, you listen to an onboard lovely vocalist and small band. It was a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours.
It was a nice relaxing ride around the harbor The boat was nice, drinks selection was minimal, but overall that a bad experience
Boat is much larger than we thought it would be and there was very limited outdoor space. Cheese tray contents were good but there could have been a bit larger quantity. Service was pleasant and welcoming. Music was wonderful.
Expected an upper deck location for our dining. We were on the lowest deck and could only walk up to an observation area to see out over the Harbour. Good service. Commentary was limited to non existent. 4 stars is probably too high a rating.
Good charcuterie and nice break from the heat! Only complaint is we ended early & stopped to pick up people during the ride so you missed some cruising time. But this was a nice break from the walking and heat!
We left the dock late. We were seated by a window. The drinks were good and so was the food. We enjoyed the lady singing. Sadly, we docked 15 minutes early.
This cruise was a relaxing tour around the Sydney harbor with a nice charcuterie board. The 2 included drinks were perfect for hanging around with two friends and seeing the sights. You get nice and close to the opera house and gutpinch island. Ultimately, if youre looking for a relaxing evening with a nice little cruise, this is perfect.
Good fun and very smooth "sailing". We had great seats downstairs and the food and drink were both excellent as was the service.
It was a nice ride around the harbour and the food and beverages were good. Thought it would’ve a little more personal but ya can’t have everything.
We had a great experience on the Captain Cook Sydney Harbour Cruise! The ride was smooth and relaxing, and the views of the harbour were absolutely spectacular. The cruise included two drinks (with the option to purchase more), plus a delicious charcuterie board, which was a nice touch. It was the perfect way to see Sydney from the water while enjoying a laid-back, well-run experience. Highly recommend for a scenic and enjoyable harbor cruise!
Very smooth boarding process. Loved the live music on board, and the wine selection was solid. There were plenty of opportunities to step outside and enjoy the views from the upper deck.

The cruise was excellent. We got to spend a good chunk of time around the opera house and bridge. We cruised down and back giving a good overlook of Sydney. Got to see things in light and at night which was nice. The drinks and food were good. The upper deck was perfect for taking pictures. Lovely experience.
Nice trip around the harbour with nice cheeseboard served. Would have preferred a night trip to see the lights of Sydney
A very enjoyable evening. Great view Nice night missed the fireworks which was a shame Would have loved to steer the boat,
Good charcuterie and drinks. Great live music without being too noisy. Easy hop on and hop off. Good service.
It was awesome experience. With good food and drinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
Our experience was exactly as described. We had two beverages each and a lovely, plentiful charcuterie board with a variety of meats, crackers, cheeses, and chocolate. We highly recommend this excursion.
Great relaxing way to catch up with friends with beautiful back drop.It went for 3 hrs which was perfect.Charcuterue board ample and refilled biscuits. We were more than happy with experience
All inside and very busy with groups eating dinner, could have had the same experience on the ferry. Apart from the Cocktail & cheese which were nice. Expensive for what it was. Would not recommend for solo travellers. Very disappointing
I wasn’t too impressed with this experience. Views were amazing, but the food and drink experience was just ok. Cheese board was average and the drinks were basic. I even asked to sub out the second drink for another cocktail and they said sure but it was an extra charge. Overall, if you want to experience a harbor cruise just hop on the ferry and go get a cocktail elsewhere.
Everyone was nice and it was easy to figure out where to go and what to do, but it looked like they sell multiple levels of this trip served simultaneously. This one put us in seats by the window of the lowest level, which felt special until we walked around and found that the next floor up had live music and dinner, and the higher levels had access to outdoor decks with great views where we took some pictures. I have no idea how to get those packages, but no complaints because we could walk around and see it all. It would have been nice to have music on the Lower Level where we were seated also, but I can understand if that would increase the ticket price.
We had a great time! We enjoyed our cocktails and the tasty charcuterie board seated at a table by the window. We then moved to the top deck to enjoy our 2nd drinks and the views. The cruise starts in daylight and ends as it begins to get dark, giving 2 differing perspectives on the harbour. Everything was smooth and easy and all the staff we interacted with were friendly. A great way to spend an afternoon/evening.
Very relaxing, good food and drinks. The staff were great. We had a great view of the harbor from seats next to the window.
A gr8 experience. Lovely views and refreshments. A lovely boat. Helpful friendly staff. Great to look back on Sydney from the harbour.
Absolutely wonderful experience! The two drinks & charcuterie included were delicious, and the reserved table made the cruise especially comfortable. The rooftop of the boat had amazing views!
Cruise exceeded my expectations from start to finnish. Had lounge chairs for seating, an excellent charcuterie board and even the cocktails/wine choicew were very good. A beautiful experience I would do again!
We booked the tour & charcuterie board & cocktails. Boarding was very easy, we were taken to our table, given an explanation of the tour & they brought our drinks & food. The tour was excellent, smooth & serene which is what we needed at the end of a busy day! Going round the harbour gave us the chance to see the iconic sights from a completely different view point. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!
We had one day in Sydney and decided on this tour. It was a great decision! great drinks and cheese plate followed by a cruise past the opera house. highly recommend!
Enjoyable 2 drinks & choice of cheese & vegan platters but would have liked to explore upper deck and have details of sights/areas
Take a light jacket as it can get cool outside of an evening. The platter for two is delicious as well as the complimentary cocktail/
This sunset cruise was such a fun experience! The views of Sydney from the water were absolutely stunning and made the evening unforgettable. Sipping cocktails while taking in the Harbour Bridge and Opera House was the perfect way to enjoy the city. The charcuterie board was a nice touch and paired perfectly with the drinks. A relaxed, beautiful cruise that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique way to see Sydney!
We were inside - not to worry about being too cold. You will need a jacket to go outside to take photos. Great value - thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Not really a cabaret - a lady played piano for 30 min the rest of the cruise in silence. It was magical watching the lights of Sydney harbour.
